If somebody told me at the beginning of BnHA that Bakugo would become my favorite character, I'ld have said they were high on Ichiraku ramen.

Tai Chi Zero(2012)....5.5/10
Genre: Action, Adventure, Drama

I've got this one policy, if you must copy, do it creatively, only then can your results be overlooked & forgiven. Stephen Fung basically copied or wanted something in the likes of Stephen Chows Kung Fu Hustle. Whatever he did or planned to do, he did haphazardly, and as such, the results were so underwhelming.

I've always had this liking for Sammo Hung's Style of martial arts, but i wasn't really impressed by his action choreography here. For a Kung-fu movie, the pacing & plot were quite poor. Character development was also non-existent.

On the bright side, acting was ok, the movie had this cool video game vibes as well as a few animated sequences that sure spiced up the it's cinematography, which kinda reminds me of Jackie Chan's City Hunter

As if it many flaws weren't enough salt to injury, the movie ends abruptly.......thus leaving me hanging & unsatisfied.
It has a sequel. Tai Chi Hero

cos Naruto discussions can continue for years...truth be told, it shows how much of a masterpiece Naruto is
Naruto? Masterpiece? I laugh in plot holes, asspulls and poor character development.

well the manga continued and stopped, but he might start drawing again now that the author has help from kishimoto
Make Kishimoto no near that series abeg before he go spoil am for us. Unless he's bringing that genius he had in the early days of Naruto

the high sch0ol stuff is n0rmal sef. Courtney came in n0t wanting to associate and seemed freaky in behavior than c0ol, hence why people avoided her. If u n0ticed, she was behaving like these church gals. So u could see why no 1 wantd to associate with her. She was a newbie, quiet and n0t c0ol. I can relate with that. Been in that shoe b4.

Things that were mind blowing:-

The JSA and those classic villains especially Solomon Grundy

The special effects, from start to finish it never reduced in quality, proof of the amount of time and money put into this thing

The bit of her testing out her new powers(reminded me of Shazam) and I really appreciated the fact that they didn't drag it out over many episodes..would have been boring

Her step dad STRIPSEY he is already my favourite character

That ending..omg, I was like whhhhhhhyyyyyy embarassed cry

Etc...

The fact that you had to go to the normal cliché highschool stuffs to talk about faults shows that you are nitpicking grin

This is purple y'all, main account was banned cos I was recommending websites to download movies on the movie thread angry
True! The opening scene was dope.
And seeing her inculcate her gymnastic background into how she uses the staff was really cool.

I guess I just latched onto the highschool thing a bit too much and forgot to appreciate everything else.

Gbam.

They forgot that they were begging her to join the cheerleaders team and even make her number 2 from the first day she entered the school.

Kaycee7 is just looking for faults
And she went from that to the losers table. That's why I said it didn't make sense. So, no guy could see this fine ass chick and invite her over.

Maybe I am. I probably let my expectations be jacked up by the ratings.

Most of the people on that table were also good looking..of I recall, her good looks also made her get invited to the cheerleaders squad on her first day...

Why do I feel you just nitpicking? Perhaps all the good reviews about the series on this thread had you desperately looking for faults maybe?
The guy that left is emo. The girl that spoke to her is an obvious dork. The other girl just had her nudes released. I didn't just cite the good looks. She had other abilities.
I'm not nitpicking. Perhaps you can help me see what's so mind-blowing about the pilot. After all, I never said it was bad. Just okay

she discovering the staff and then straight up goes to fight felt rushed. The pilot felt rushed like they were eager to let us know it’s star Girl like we didn’t already know the title.
The One thing that caught my interest is that the guy she fought now knows her face. She doesn't really have the luxury of anonymity that most teen heroes usually enjoy. I want to see how that plays out moving forward.

Pu7pl3, how does a pretty girl with a cool attitude and a gymnast background end up at the losers table? How does that fvcking make sense, if not just for the sake of fulfilling cliché high school underdog stories? The series as a whole will probably be really good, but the pilot didn't wow me, at all.

I haven't even gone online to read it's origins. I just guessed it must be folklore because it has that feel to it. I first read it when I was fresh out of secondary school and it was like gibberish. The themes flew right over my head, but now I decided to go back and reread again and was struck by how relevant the themes are in contemporary society.
Where did you get a copy? I've been looking for one for many moons, now. I really need to read that book all over again.

Oh, my bad. it depends on your age.
but even at that, it still doesn't. we still get great series, like
PUNISHER. WALKING DEAD. SHOOTER.
When I did my IT, almost the whole office were following the same number of shows, namely;

Game of Thrones
One Piece
Blackish
Into the Badlands
The Blacklist

And we were all of different ages. Y'all really need to stop these elitist excuses.

dude, n0lan would find a way to do seas0n 1 of GOT in 2 hours. It's abt kn0wing what u want to tell, how to tell it and achieve it. GOT was fr0m a b0ok, guy. And u are telling me N0lan can't adapt a b0ok into a 2hour film? He did incepti0n that had many characterz in it and was able to tell a story. How abt TDK. Lord of the rings is one film i find unnecessarily l0ng and would've benefitd fr0m a 2hr run time..
You really don't get how important world building and lore is in Fantasy, do you? A GOT movie would never be able to hold a torch to the show, even if Nolan, Cameron and Scorcese were to collaborate to make the movie.

Didn't really see anything to be impressed by in Stargirl's pilot. It was cliché as fvck to me, in ways that didn't even make sense.

i hate LOTR. Like with passi0n. I still d0n't kn0w what the whole thing was about. A powerful ring that could only just make you invisible? Saruman was supposed to be a powerful wizard, still trying to understand what his power was.

hummmm brother did I said these r d best we have in the country? All I said is these movies will standard anywhere in the world in terms of storyline , content, delivery and also good arrangement and entertainment.
Back to ur take on the movies, I don’t know what u look for in movies but if u said mokaliki is trash then u have to explain, a Movie that is that rich in content as in with a simple lesson of giving ur children outside skills apart from the four walls of the classroom n a show of a typical day activities at a car mechanic workshop is what u call a trashy movie MAN!
2. U said the set up, 76 (show of Nigeria history in a bit )was poor? Do I have to analyze the movies to u. Bro am ending this talk by just saying not all movies u like will b appreciated by other vis versa and u see those movies I mention up there will b evergreen for s long time . If my write up is still sounding somehow to u I advice u better try n look for professional Nigeria movie critics opinion on the movie seems u have a biased opinions on Nigeria films
Lastly u said the movies u put up there are better except oct 1. Because u said so or because they where rated higher in terms of gross ending, public opinions or by Oscar board of trustee. MAN if u appreciate those movies recommend them for viewing but don’t come here n b trash talking other movies because u didn’t get the point or they didn’t suit ur movie taste
You should follow your own advice. You were the first to trash someone else's recommendations, instead of just calmly recommending yours. But then again, people like you can't handle the crappy behavior they dish out.
