Weekend Movie
- Gran Turismo (2023)
The only reason this caught my attention was because of Orlando Bloom. Reception looks promising and I haven't seen a racing movie in a while so let's go.

Achilles100: Has anyone finished Asteriod City? ( The beginning was so slow for me). Is it any good?
The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar makes me wants to see other movies by Wes Anderson. It's a pretty decent Wes Anderson movie. The pace doesn't quicken sha. So that slow beginning is basically how the rest of the movie is. |

IngeniousLeez: I hated Mahito too in the first season. Na now I just dey like the guy. Man is just KEN!!
Na that Geto or the worm curse wey dey him brain na him I want that pitiful fate for. I liked Mahito from the outset. Sure, I'm never forgiving him for what he did to Junpei and Mama Junpei but man na better cruise. I'll like to see him fight Mei Mei. Their banter will be peak |

Achilles100: Jujustu Kaisen
I really really hope patchface dies. Like I need his death to be long, excruciating and gratifying to me. I just need him to suffer.
Next episode will be chaotic and the real pandemonium. I can't wait. Don't be a killjoy. Mahito's just here to have fun

oyaskii: Django Unchained (2012)
“Kill white folks and they pay you for it? What’s not to like?”
I had the pleasure of seeing this spaghetti revisionist western classic again and it might even be better than i remember it. The 8th film by a certain Quentin Taratino offers more than it advertised and quite possibly might be his best work imo, and it was everything you would expect from a film in his filmography as a filmmaker who is true to his materials and methods that work, buckets loads of blood and more than half of the dialogue having an insane use of the N word, and maximum fun guaranteed.
The story itself is a simple revenge tale but what makes it really thick is the supreme performances of the surprisingly ensemble cast. Christopher Waltz and Leonardo DiCaprio are my clear standouts, the former duly won an Oscar, his second i might add, the first been for another Quentin Taratino flick, thier combo is clearly magical. Not to take anything away from Jamie Foxx's performance tho, it was mightly fine, and he is probably one of the best black actor of this generation.
In usual QT style, the film is filled with twisted humour that i was practically just laughing most of it, but there was still some serious racial undrtone that kept me in check, the height of the humour was Samuel L Jackson basically re-enacting a live version of "Uncle Ruckus" 😂😂
It's like QT made Inglourious Basterds (2009) to highlight the horrors of the Holocaust and made this to highlight the horrors of slavery just to balance it up. A very good watch with very high replay value.
8/10. Eternal classic. That KKK scene never fails to have me in laughing fits 😂😂 |

oyaskii: Henry Cavill Hive, we are soooo back.😩😩😩
2024 looks like it has something for me ngl 🤤🤤🤩 That cast is casting fr. If there's one good thing I can say about Eiza Gonzalez, it's that I've never seen her in a boring movie. Then you've got Cavill in the lead with Alan Ritchison somewhere in there. Wouldn't mind a face off between those 2. |

Gundel001: Iron man was 2008. There were batman, Spiderman, superman before then but my point is: though it wasn't that famous then, even among comic fans compared to others like spiderman, superman, captain America, the movie still did well and it paved way for other lesser known character to be a box office success. Or could you have believed character like Carol Danvers will gross over 1 Billion? Comic book movies were a novelty in the 2000s. Two a year was something and it wasn't an annual event for them to achieve blockbuster status. Iron Man in 2008 was a fresh experience marketed right and with some of the best ratings for a superhero movie at the time that wasn't Batman.Release Iron Man today and it'll get a similar reception to Blue Beetle with its major saving grace being that it would be under the MCU brand which currently still has more social capital than the DCU brand |

Fall Season schedule. Fridays, meaning Saturdays for me, are stacked. Phew! Can't believe Beyond Journey's End is dropping this Friday. Lovers of drama, don't sleep on that beauty. Also the craziness of MF Ghost and Overtake airing the same day. Guess it'll be a race to see who can garner more popularity, eh
