oyaskii: Haaa 😩...Chief, looks like this year gave you less time to see movies
I actually believe this is my most active movie year this decade. It's just that my focus on all media fronts, except anime series, was on my backlog. A current movie would've to appeal to me over that to get moved to the front.
abduleez1: Una no try for this thread at all at all.... 😭😭 Why Una no tell me say Blue Eye Samurai is R rated and explicit??
I don go send this thing give a close family member and her kids cos dem don disturb me taya for film. And I know they can't enjoy my type of entertainment like the Oppenheimer's, Fall of The House of Usher of this world....so I gave them a few things easily digestible.
Just started this show yesterday come dey see nudity and sex aplenty just in first two episodes. 🥲🥲 Even anime wey I dey watch sef, I no see this explicitness and details. I just dey laugh dey shame for myself how I take mistake send 4 episodes. 🙃🙃
Nawa for you. At your big age and media experience, you still dey assume most animation are safe for kids. Now you don go spoil person pikin 😭😭
Pazu's life changes when he meets Sheeta, a girl whom pirates are chasing for her crystal amulet, which has the potential to locate Laputa, a legendary castle floating in the sky.
- The Garden of Sinners: Chapter 5 - Paradox Spiral (2008)
A teenage demon hunter uses her mystical powers to investigate supernatural events.
CoolUsername: I personally find her a little irritating. Why is her personality so abrasive when she can't even back it up when it's time to throw hands. At least Tamaki from FF, who everyone just loves to crap on, was able to tank several hits and save her friend from a bad guy. Tamaki even got a training mini-arc.
Also, her backstory is l pretty ame. What even is her goal and why should I care? I don't know, it's like Gege Akutami didn't like her as a main character so he gave Maki everything. He couldn't even give her a straight-up 1-on-1 victory before letting her get folded.
Word! Cos I was seeing all this hype about how she was such a revolutionary female lead in shonen, only to finally watch JJK and see nothing of any significance about her.
abduleez1: Omo your own still looking good. I've downloaded the first episode for some weeks but yet to start it.
All the Netflix anime that they released from October to November, I never see anyone watch. I have full season of Captain Laserhawk and Blue Eye Samurai yet I never start shi shi. I dey wonder as I won do am. There's still Onimusha and Onmyoji, Good Night World and Akuma Kun. 😢😢 I planned on joining Pantheon as the S2 started but I no fit.
And there's December releases coming in hot. 😟
Lemme clear load from your head. You see all those Netflix shows, apart from Blue Eye Samurai, clear them from your list. They range from mid, at best, to trash. Time is too scarce and precious now to waste on such shows unless you have a vested personal interest, like how Laserhawk is adapted from the Far Cry video game universe.
Baddestguyp: I was already thinking of Invincible episode this weekend... In fact it's been crossing my mind for the past 3 days...
I somehow just remembered that we not getting another episode this year...
Whoever made that decision sucks honestly...
We didn't even get the chance to feel anything or bond with the characters...they just cut the season...smh
Explain to me how you didn't get the chance to feel anything but you were already thinking of an Invincible episode this weekend. I'm genuinely curious.
Illusioneffect: I don't think that's the issue sir. It's actually not about attention span and linear plots - the problem is streaming and money; a streaming company has to develop lots of shows to still be in business and the costs are so much nowadays that they have to find ways of cutting costs. An episode of a show could cost up to 10 million dollars that's actually the main reason. If you notice, some sitcoms and shows still have lots of episodes like BOB HEARTS ABISHOLA and Young Sheldon but are owned not by streaming companies but legacy media companies
Also add the fact that TV shows sell advert spots as a means of generating revenue. The more episodes you had, the more sales you made. There was really little incentive to not maximize the 24-episode TV slots most shows were allotted on a network.
Chibudollar: I was browsing YouTube yesterday and I stumbled upon this page called omeleto, they upload short movies. Dope ass short movies. Na there I sleep throughout yesterday night.
Omeleto go ruin your career. Remember losing the better part of a working day and a good chunk of data just because I kept wanting to check out "just one more movie"
