Revenger is cooking something. Whether it will be religious or blasphemous remains to be seen. But I'm liking it so far.

I haven't watched it yet.

Yet? Are you actually planning on watching it?

I was excited for the movie when I saw it some days back. But as I calm down look that release date I wan cry. It's too fvvking far bro. I don't know what's taking them that long to produce animated content especially when you remember they specifically created a dedicated studio for all Avatar content.

Dedicated studio doesn't necessarily mean you also get a standby score composer and voice actors, as well. Add the fact that this is also not the first movie in their lineup, so they'd most likely have to finish production on that before starting on this.

The real problem would be if the final product ends up not justifying the waiting period.
Remember the recently released Puss in Boots 2 was in production for close to a decade. These things aren't really simple and straightforward at times. The most important thing is for the final product to be satisfactory.

The first thing I felt seeing this news was excitement, followed by sadness as I remembered that we'd never get the late great Mako Iwamatsu back in the booth to voice Iroh again. Still look forward to seeing some Iroh screentime in the movie cos Greg Baldwin has been a great replacement for the role.

Never thought a story about writing letters would be so high on my list but here we are

I didn't even know what the story was. Just liked the aesthetic and decided to check it out and I'm thankful everyday that I did.

I don't buy that shït that CBMs are facing a fatigue with audiences. At least one or two CBMs would have easily hit $1bn last year. 2022 was just a year where other mega franchises turned up and the sleeper hit of Maverick.
I mean 4 CBMs were in the top 10 and all grossed high $750m+. They'd consolidate in 2023 and noise about fatigue would quiet down. I've been hearing of Superhero fatigue since 2015/16, yet here we are.

My prediction for top 10 grossing movies of 2023 in no particular order:

Dune 2
Mario Bros movie
The Flash
Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom
Fast _X_
Guardians of the Galaxy 3
Mission Impossible 7
Transformers: Rise of The Beast
Indiana Jones 5
The Little Mermaid

Notable mentions that has a shot at top 10 but most likely in top 20 includes:

Antman: Quantumania
The Marvels
Blue Beetle
Barbie
Wonka
John Wick 4
Oppenheimer

What people are trying to pass off as fatigue is simply the novelty of the superhero genre finally fading away as it's now settled firmly into the mainstream. 5 years or more ago, Black Adam, in all its averageness, would have made $700m upwards. Currently the audience expects more than average fanfare from the superhero genre and as long as that is delivered, they'll keep patronizing.

5 years ago, Kyoto Animation blessed us with this masterpiece.

A rollercoaster of emotions packed into a 13-episode journey, with multiple touching stories. One of the most beautiful shows, in more ways than one, I've watched.

HOTD is the best TV show for 2022.

It wins the Globes for the first time despite GOT unable to with 5 nominations.

Quality of the Globes must've gone down cos HOTD hasn't even reached the height of GOT's peak yet in quality.

However, tfw you realise that girls aren't giving guys they like ice-cold eyes.

That's why I'm picking girls that got the ice-cold eyes on default. Like dating a chic with a resting bîtch face. Hawt!

The real peak anime from MAPPA.
Campfire Cooking in Another World with my Absurd Skill

Them visuals are fücking on point. They really didn't need to go this hard on a gourmet show. But they did and I appreciate that immensely
