You know how many actors don portray Joker, Batman tire. Soany iconic actors. And who thought anyone would eclipse Heath Ledger when Leto dropped a shitful performance in SS. Joaquin Phoenix came and won praise and even winning an Oscar.

Who thought Keaton will be ecliped, who thought they were gonna pick Affleck over Bale. With all the noise and cry isn't Robert Pattinson the praised Batman and many people's choices.
Another better actor will take that role and it'd be funny the way you'll forget Cavill sharp sharp. He will be remembered for his antics.

I don't think it's about selling oneself short but Cavill's greediness. Cos the way I see it if one is reasonable, is Cavill a box office draw. Is he Big? Is he that good an actor?
The only reason Cavill has fans goodwill now is cos most ppl can't think of who to replace him at the moment. The moment ppl starts fantasising about a top actor who's equal to the task his Euphoria will fade.

Reason am na.... Gadot and Patty was given $20mn each for compensation for WW84 going to HBOMax. Just recently variety reported that Joaquin Phoenix is collecting a handsome $20mn for his sequel. I think Cavill wants to earn more, probably $30-40mn which I think he isn't even worth sef.
What singular movie's success can be solely attributed to him? Forget MOS cos it's mainly for how iconic the character is and not cos of Cavill.


Me as an executive and fan sef can't give Cavill $20mn sef. If I do, na by force. Anything above that he can go fvvk himself cos he's done nothing to warrant such earnings. Let's be reasonable here... It's like rewarding someone for underperformance.

Actors who can make such demand like him are Gal, Ben, Phoenix and Momoa and maybe Will Smith cos they've got the track record.

Fix DCEU and the ire will dissippate, and maybe WB will start making some roadin in regards to planning the DCEU.
I'm one of these fans so I'm speaking for a lot likeminded people.

Fans might be a fickle bunch but they've been pissed at WB for years and I doubt they'll stop now.
Replacing Cavill in the present DCEU is out of the question.
Fans feel particularly strong about it.
Personally, Superman is my favorite superhero, probably of all time.
The fact that he is not being included right now sucks.
I love Henry Cavill as Clark in MOS, he was perfect for the role, but if a complete reboot is what it will take to have superman content, I'm all for it.
Can't have DCEU without Superman, he's like the heart of the DC Universe.

Why?
The fans are increasingly frustrated with WB due to the current sorry state of DCEU.
Fans want Cavill to be DCEU superman, stat.
Replacing him with another actor will be met with tremendous hostility the kind you've never seen before.
The best next thing WB can do at this point is to reboot DCEU and start everything from scratch.

Henry Cavill is busy filming The Witcher 3 right now, so he's busy.
He's not like he can do two things or be at two places simultaneously.
And besides, he'd be a fool to sideline The Witcher project where he's getting paid a shit ton of money (as well as have special privilege to influence the script), for a project where he won't influence the script or be the highest paid star onscreen.
Henry Cavill is a nerd with a pretty face who has read all the comics, played all the video games and know superman inside out, but to think he's in out of the goodness of his heart is incredibly naive.
He's an entertainer and he entertains for a living, and like any half decent career, he does it for money. Acting isn't charity.
The fans want him, so it's in WB best interest to do whatever it takes to acquire his services.
WB need him more than he needs them, and as long as it stays that way, Cavill will continue to play hardball.
It's what every good actor who knows their worth do to earn more money.
He's just a good businessman.
