I already reviewed Dr strange sometime back, hence my "subpar" conclusion. I just didn't jump to that.

Reading this reply also showed you're just being emotional about marvel movies. I'm a big fan of marvel, I've seen all their movies but I don't comment with emotions. The few good things about marvel phase 4 movies are the graphics and sometimes acting, the fight scenes, the plot, the direction and many others things have been below par, considering how marvel's movies were.

As for Thor 4, I've read trusted reviews (not just nairaland garbage) on the plot, the delivery, the acting and the likes, like I said, the acting seems to be the highlight. I'm still seeing it on Wednesday.

Also, I'm not sure any movie goer opinion count on here so calm your nerves. Your opinions do not matter too, that doesn't mean you can't opine on what you want. At the end of the day, it's just a movie, just entertainment, enjoy, argue, laugh and move on, doesn't have to be more than that or send subliminal shots below the belt.

Note: a movie going on to make crazy money doesn't mean it's good just like movie making shitty money doesn't make it bad. I'm sure you know this though but your emotions won't allow you accept that fact.

Folks be dropping the bolded as if their own emotions dey allow them accept facts wey them no like

Predestination Paradox Explained – A predestination paradox occurs when a time traveler is caught in a loop of events that “predestines” or “predates” him or her to travel back in time. The paradox suggests that those people who travel back in time would have no way of changing a situation.

https://www.thisisbarry.com/film/predestination-2014-movie-plot-ending-explained/#:~:text=Predestination%20Paradox%20Explained%20%E2%80%93%20A%20predestination,way%20of%20changing%20a%20situation.

It's a bit similar to Marvel's method of time travel.... Going back in time doesn't really alter the future because the past is the future for you(the person traveling), it just branches to a new timeline...

The ending isn't even what's fücking my brain. It's the conception of Jane.
For Jane to be conceived, she has to become John who then goes back in time to impregnate her. And without the sex change resulting from the labour, Jane doesn't become John. But if she doesn't become John, Jane is also never conceived. So how was Jane conceived initially and how does she go on to become John and conceive herself in the very first cycle?
This is the chicken and egg situation that's been stressing my brain.

You can argue with someone about this movie all day and you will both be right

Word! Cos anyhow you check am. From beginning, from end, from middle, you go still come back the same place

I know I said at first that nothing really happened in season 3 but I said this in the heat of the moment.
After I have had time to recollect myself and fully digest the season, i've come to realize that a lot of things happened.

we found out that Vicky Neuman was a secret Vought agent.
We found out her real name was Nadia.
We found out that her mentor was Edgar.
We found out about Temp V.
Homelander becomes the head of Vought after a coup engineered by him and Neuman.
The Deep returned to the 7.
Homelander killed Black Noir.
Starlight quits the 7.
Maeve lost her eye and powers.
Butcher lost Ryan to Butcher.
Homelander's Dad is Soldier Boy.
A-Train got a new heart.
The Deep ate a live octopus.
The Deep fuccked an octopus....twice.
The Deep separated from his wife.
Butcher has a year to live.
Neuman is becoming the VP.
3 members of the 7 are gone.
Homelander realizes his fanatical supporters don't care if he murders someone in public.
Frenchy and Kimiko grew closer.
For the first time in the series, characters lost and regain powers.

A shit ton of things happened.
Kripke has let it slip Homelander will die before the show comes to an end....
I wonder how the story will progress without him...
I have a feeling Ryan will play a crucial role in the later part of the series
Season 4 and 5 will be a bloodbath for sure.

I was sha looking at all of you that day and wondering whether we watched the same show or y'all were watching 1-minute recaps on YouTube.

Bro, this brilliantly written paradox is about to ruin my brain. What came first? The chicken or the egg? I desperately need to know. Been stretching my brain to see where the head of the Ouroboros is.

Was going to check more of The Spierig Brothers' works but they mostly do horror and I does not fück with horror.

The Boys S3 8.5/10

This season probably had more focus on all the characters' personal journeys than the past 2 seasons, with character progression and development for a lot of the cast and a happy ending for Maeve. I hope it lasts.

From Kimiko coming to terms with her propensity for violence and her relationship with Frenchie, to M.M finally opening up to his daughter, to Butcher regaining a teeny bit of his conscience after taking a forced trip down memory lane and even some focus on Noir to provide context for his character.
It's not perfect and there's some bits to nitpick here and there but it's solid character writing all through that keeps the plot and characters interesting.

Jensen Ackles shines as Soldier Boy and just about steals the spotlight. With his character's dated perspective, he provides some comic relief in tune with the show's tone and his denial of his PTSD is pretty much in tune with someone from a time period when mental illness was a taboo subject.

By the end of the season, our merry band of The Boys (and girls) are closer to being heroes than they ever set out to be and farther from the anti-heroes they started out as, setting aside their personal convictions and vendettas to save lives of people who they don't really owe any favours.

The action stays hard-hitting and there's plenty of gore as usual. The finale spots one of the best action sequences in TV history with the Maeve vs Homelander fight.
Superb performance from the cast all round. Looking forward to the next season. Ryan's about to be Butcher's greatest test.

BankyGee:
I swear down bro. Maybe setting it entirely outside the Arrowverse is for the best after all. I just hope HBO Max can take it up from here, then more wonders can happen with the series.
It's been confirmed Tom Cavanagh is set to direct Season 3's pilot episode. Me no wan sha get The Flash's vibes inside the episode o

Run, Clark. Run

Funny enough I no longer want Homelander to die or go down, he transitioned from a character I hate to one I love.
The last episode of season 3 is WOW.

Satchet stockholm syndrome

Honestly, most of you deserve simple plots with one-dimensional characters and storytelling that spoonfeeds the plot to you.

The fvvk!! Netflix with shitty adaptations.
I don't think they can do justice to this animé.

The funny thing is that a Death Note adaptation shouldn't be that hard. The shinigami are only 3 and so CG costs shouldn't be that big. Do a close adaptation of the source material up to L's death. Fix up the shoddy writing in the second part and boom!, you have a banger.

DieRich5:
it's the series
