proudlysports: In the past, I was AW's no 1 critic on this same issue of lacking a plan B. This season however, I have noticed we have added a bit to the usual pass pass pass style. Now we see Jenks, Gibbs, Sagna, try to play long balls into the box for Giroud and at times, when we are a goal down, we sometimes send Per upfront as a point man. I will admit that we haven't perfected this yet or maybe we just don't have the players to deliver on this. Gibbs for one delivers very poor crosses. Whether he practices this in training, I don't know and it's an area we need to improve on.

Turns out that wasn't part of Wenger's script, Per was improvising and he recently said he realised Arsene didn't want him doing that so he stopped.
I think we've seen them "let the opponents have the ball, soak up pressure and hit on the break" as a "plan B' to break down stubborn park-the-bus defences but this may backfire against bigger agbaya teams like Chelsea.
Wenger seriously needs to find the password for Mourinho's Chelsea.

Just saw the game and it wasn't exactly a bad performance or a season-ending disaster like the anti-Arsenal band boys are trying to make it out to be. Just shows the squad is still thin in some areas and we need to work harder on breaking down stubborn defences.

Damn we need another striker ASAP and I feel sorry for Bedntner, the bashing he gets for lacklustre performances like this may further undermine his confidence.

Can't wait to have our missing players back, Flamini, Poldi, OxChambo and Theo - hate him or love him, he poses a different kind of threat to defences and gives our attack another dimension. I hope Arteta's suspension is over.

The possibility of landing Suarez is looking more and more unlikely. If Loserpool keep up their current form until December, it will be very hard to pry him away from there. Arsene should start cooking up a "Plan B".

Özil's goal was world class, he made a difficult technique look casual.
Giroud works so hard, I fear he might break or tear something. His all round play gets better and better with each passing game. Last season, I didn't think he did enough to win air balls and hold up play but these days he wins everything that floats or draws a foul trying to do so.

CFCfan: Update: The Senate has rejected the House of Reps offer for a conference to negotiate a harmonized spending bill.

I will say President Obama is partially at fault here. He had no qualms exempting employers and labor unions from implementing parts of 'Obamacare', but is vehemently against delaying the take off of the individual mandate provision.
The Republican-dominated House sought such a delay in the 3 spending bills they sent to the Senate.

The individual mandate is the "engine" of Obamacare; delaying it is equivalent to delaying the entire law. I seriously thought the employers part was the main cause of the repubs grouse with the law but clearly, they are not satisfied with its postponement.

Meanwhile, the same conference that dems have been chasing the repubs for, for months is what they are hustlin' for now.

It's a crazy mess up there in Washington.

Yeah, Rosicky does better when played through the middle but I think he offers more protection to the right back than Özil would and of course they can rotate during games (that's if Rozzy gets the nod ahead of Theo).

Picking between Arteta and Flamini is hard.

Mehn, our midfield looks very juicy with so many good players in there that some have been forgotten. No one has mentioned Ox-Chambo in their preferred line up. Selection wahala for Wenger but it's a good problem to have.

- Right now, Rambo is so hot he'll burn the seats if you tried to bench him, definitely can't bench our 42m Özil either.

- I'll give the no. 10 sweetspot to Özil. Carzola is probably better playing in the hole but he's quite comfortable on the left too, same goes for Rosicky but on the right.

- As much as I would like to see an Arteta-Flamini combo in CM, we can only field 11 players and I'll pick Arteta ahead of Flamini to partner red-hot Ramsey.

Hard to see Wilshere drop to the bench, he's an engine in midfield but such is the selection headache Wenger will be faced with when everyone is fit. There will be plenty of games to go round in winter and everyone will get enough playing time.

Wanted to try this once in Texas, I had "sky-high" confidence in the instructors until they told me to sign something that looked like my death warrant. I simply ran away.

Stegomiah: Ozil actually have two assists today and not three, the first goal was a rebound, don't think he is at his best yet. We also need a striker, we are just managing Giroud, his control is poor, passing poor, his speed low, and he is also indecisive at times, although he seems to be winning long balls for us, he has a kindda connection with the keeper and most importantly he needs competition to step up, i expect him to be scoring more goals from open play and a better positioning too.

Rebound or not, it was Özil's assist, he was the last player in contact with the ball before the scorer.

Truly a menace. In 2007, a B52 bomber mistakenly carried armed nuclear war heads, enough to cause Hiroshima times 10, as it flew 3 hours across the US from N. Dakota to Louisiana. The pilots had no idea the missiles were armed with live nuclear war heads. If anything had gone wrong, parts of the US would probably be off the world map by now.
