LostCity: Ahh ma"am You don't have to worry oh,You know why? All these our hustling/Buzzing/Traveling/Changing of Location!
who do you think is for? probably for our posterity!(Children/Siblings/Those who were there for us when the going was tough)
Yes for our children/Yet unborn/Our aged parents! i believed there is no lateness in making Money!
Let me narrate a short story. follow me. There is this Man,(Seen,felt/Spoken to) you see? my stories is devoid of exaggeration! Oh yes. He travelled in the late 80"s,went for education, graduated, Enrolled for Msc,graduated,Enrolled again for phd graduated!(All in a bid to extend his stay)
wait, let me state his age then, between 21-25. when he came back to nigeria during the early 90"s He came back with little accumulated money he made over .(in the sense that he came back with money for marriage/) He married a white in order to secure his future first (Paid the white and discard her later/Is a proven fact) Nobody is a sacred cow.
he came back to nigeria ,married and travelled back(frequent traveller due to his years in that country, he earned his RP/Greencard,) But he has no money to establish his business ideas.
oh yes! keep following. keep calculating his age/Also calculate his years in Oversea plus with the one he spent here before embarking on such quest! you come to realize he married late! (Legally in nigeria)with little or non to show that he has spent in a foreign country! fast forward! He has six children currently at the age of 75! all his ripe age in Oversea he has nothing to show for it.
but at his old age! he has filed for his six children plus his patient wife for Visa! chai, currently they all have RP in US.
you see? he secured his children future first ! that was what he showed for his years of Toiling/Buzzing/frequent traveling/Investing in different ideas/Failed /And tried thousand times in US
Now those children are frequent travelers to US in order to validate their RP.(heard is two times in a year for five years'/Since they ain't there permanently) There is no Lateness in hitting it big in Life. There is no guaranteed in this life. the only thing that is guaranteed in this life is death! This life we're living is borrowed!
Ma"am forgive me for stretching this far. You have to do it. Our children is our hope when age comes knocking on our door. Happy Sunday !

shayhune: There are admission slots for 40 students. 30 students out of the 40 students that are admitted with best score rankings after scaling through the moodle test, simulation exercise and Skype interview would be given tuition waiver while the other 10 students would have to pay tuition fees. For more info, visit the department's web page. Boss! You're everywhere oo. I read your posts on the GRE thread. |

musicwriter: This is all that is wrong with Africa now.
It appears to me the purpose of taking over out TV and airwaves is to create a dumb society that would be easy to control. Otherwise, someone who haven't contributed anything to advancement of society can't just become a celebrity overnight because he/she appeared on a TV show. Such a situation would only end up creating a society teeming with fans made of people with really very low IQ. You just spoke my mind. Something is wrong with us here. |

Thanks for giving "grad school hopefuls" like me lifelines with your reassuring words. I recently took the GRE and it was a disaster, i was denied admission by the only school i applied to (a tier 2 school); i will be retaking by early June and putting in applications for spring 2018, i hope you'll be around to help through the process. badtboi: Germany is quite different from Romania. Once you set up a blocked DB account you can only withdraw €720 monthly and if you show up to the aliens office with the full funds in any other account that is not a Blocked account you will be asked to move it to a Blocked account. I sincerely hope you have a bunch of patient friends when it comes to money though. Pls, how much are we talking about here? |

andradaeze: I am not so sure about applying to schools in the US with the IELTS. My suggestion is to check with the department or the schools on their English Language requirement. However, I have read from this thread that some schools in the US are rejecting the IELTS. So the sooner you find out from your schools, the better you will be informed.
All the best. Thank you. |
Education › Re: How To Achieve High Scores On The GRE by kaydp: 12:46pm On Jan 25, 2017 |
andradaeze: Did you write the TOEFL? If you want a GA position in Mathematics which is usually in teaching, endeavor to write the TOEFL.
Also, based on your quant score, what you are seeking will be difficult because you are expected to score high as a mathematics graduate. From my observation, you have two options, either you rewrite the GRE and score high in the quants or you have tuition for your first year. You might be lucky to get a GA in your second year if you work hard.
In fact, most graduate programs in Maths require the subject test. Hence for schools that do not require the Subject test, you need to score high on the Quant Section. If you really need funding, please rewrite the General GRE and write the TOEFL and score high on the speaking section.
Please, this time around, do not do a "crash GRE exam".
The gurus in the house will add their knowledge later. All the best. Is this IELTS result good enough bro? R7 S6 W6.5 L6 Overall 6.5. Thanks |

femi321: Abi na. Because i don't understand how one will survive in this country without any form of funding and you need all these exams to stand a chance at funding. An average Masters will cost about 11.2 million, just tuition alone not to talk of living expenses per month. If i had 11.2 million, i wont even leave Nigeria. So all this questions of schools without exams really amaze me looool |
