Lol! I wanted to let the house know when I landed after POE, cause the interview was to long to type, thank you oh
Any POE? I thought Houston and Chicago were a no no even after you declare childbirth, I read experiences, the problem is I don't know how to check for all the flights, first time traveller, checked wakanow and travelstart but they are still expensive, isn't going to the airline's website expensive? I can't play with dates cause of time sadly.
What is your budget. I booked and paid for my mum's ticket to California today. I got Virgin Atlantic for 314k for this Wednesday 18th of November, BA was about 320k, Emirate, Turkish were doing BTW 300k-350k. It's better you buy directly from the airline so that it will be cheaper if you need to reschedule. Also Tuesdays-Thursdays are cheaper.

Union bank is selling at their headoffice-Stallion house 38 Marina. Go with your passport & ticket, rate was 199.48 last week, very good deal wink.
Fill a form and come back next day to pick up no hassles. If you dont have account with them, open one and you can buy immediately.
Thanks. Will do that.

The whole thing just tire me. Admin just remove the cost from the topic of this thread so that everyone can rest.

I just pity new mamas, bottom line is do your research yourself and get a good deal to avoid long talk.

Me don get 2, a boy and a girl and the hospital I used I didn't get the info here. I just peep to find good airline deals or another awuf like Delta 90k flight.

@JW, this is the only topic that brings me to NL if there is no useful info then no need oh. I no say I be one person but they say little drops....

When U guys say u have been reading the thread or have gone through the thread and yet u ask questions that have been answered by different people over and over again.. Really makes me wonder...
I also wonder too, I don't think they read it cos if you have read this thread then you will know how to process baby's docs. I didn't have to ask any question when I was processing my baby's because I read through and made notes.
When travelers from a preclearance port arrive in the U.S. they do so as domestic travellers but are still subject to reinspection at the discretion of Customs and Border Protection.[/quote

The United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facility at Terminal 3 in Abu Dhabi Airport is a purpose-built facility that allows U.S. bound passengers to undertake all immigration, customs and agriculture inspections in Abu Dhabi prior to departure.

Abu Dhabi Airport is one of only a handful of airports outside North America that offer the CBP facility. Having cleared CBP, guests can check-through their baggage to their final destination in the United States. On reaching the U.S., guests will be treated as domestic arrivals, which allows for faster processing at their arrival airport.

Guests flying to all U.S. destinations must use the CBP facility at Abu Dhabi International Airport.

Important notes:
Check-in for all flights to the U.S. will close 2 hours before departure for guests who are commencing their journey in Abu Dhabi.
All guests must present themselves at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection facility no later than 60-minutes before departure, failure to do so may result in refusal of travel.

Abeg if the US CBP clears you in Abu Dhabi will they also waste their time interrogating guests again. The aim of this is to allow fast processing, please let's hear from people that have used Ethihad on whether they were questioned in the US after all guests are passed as though it's a domestic flight.
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by KayLayChi: 10:52pm On Oct 20, 2015
Amother4life:
It's a preclearance facility for all U.S bound flights and not a POE.

http://www.cbp.gov/border-security/ports-entry/operations/preclearance/abu-dhabi-international-airport-preclearance-queue-times
Preclearance or POE, the point is that if you are cleared in Abu Dhabi then no one will ask you any question in the US.

Exactly my thoughts,i have even read on this thread of someone that was sent back at dubai on their way to amelica,so i dont fault her for thinking her poe might be in dubai o. Lol
It was at Abu Dhabi they person was sent back. Abu Dhabi is the POE if you use Ethihad.

What I said is that if Abu Dhabi is a POE now in future Dubai can also be a POE after all they are in the same country.

Please note Dubai is not a POE.

Hmmm there's fake in naija o... My hubby is even saying we need to buy more..
Of course fake go full Naija. Me I bought Aveeno wey go reach my baby for a year then I switch to Boots soap. Buts it's always advisable to test products on baby first before buying in bulk, what happens if your baby reacts to it?

Abeg which Airport be LAX?
LAX is Los Angeles International Airport, That POE no get issues at all, for me it's the best POE since JFK don dey get small comma. Dem no ask me for any document neither did they search my bag they just had sniffer dogs and they say its the 2nd busiest airport in the US but you won't notice till your departure.
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 2 by KayLayChi: 8:55pm On Sep 30, 2015
Na real wah, @ Modath Thank God you got out okay with your boy.
I agree it better to get your accommodation but some host are God sent.
I was in Apple Valley in California for 10 weeks and I most say my uncle and his wife are the best ever. Now my uncle is a medical doctor so he is always busy so it was my aunty that took me around, public transportation is not readily available in CA and renting a car was not cost effective for me. My aunty took me for all my doctor's appointment, hospital, shopping and to the airport (LAX which is about 2 hours from Apple Valley).
She is really an angel.

I had my baby girl on the 5th of Aug and my total bill for normal delivery was:
Hospital - $3,800
Ob gym - $1,400
My doctor didn't accept my Naija test so I did all the test for $200
Total was $5,400 but I had a false labour and was billed $1,500 but after negotiating the bill was reduced to $350 so I paid a total of $5,750 and got my zero balance.
I used Victor Valley Hospital and my doctor is Dr Moneke.

@ KayLayChi,

How borry?
@ Modath, I'm gud here only say MTN no gree me enjoy my data so most times I can't chat.

As per the form A, I tried using it but was told that because of the scarcity of FX that I need to get a referal letter that the treatment I'm going for abroad can't be treated by my doctor or hospital and which gynae go write say him no fit do normal delivery or CS, so I no bother.

But maybe the banks might be more lenient now with all the new FX policies...
