Ain't u lucky? U breezed past ur first trimester without even knowing it?
Super lucky!
Congrats! wink
U can still use Dr M. Stay at ur planned accommodation but move to his hospital area towards EDD. U can share accommodation wit fellow Dec peeps like me grin - dat will reduce ur stay and cost.
BA from Abuja to LA is abt $1500. United is usually affordable too. All d best!
Well let's see how it goes. I have another Uncle that stays in Riverside which is closer and my hubby's best friend stays in LA. Will need to weigh my options jare and see how it goes.

As per breezing through my first trimester I have been blessed will all 3 of my pregnancies, only thing is that I eat alot and tend to add weight. I pray this one goes well like the other 2. After this I'm zipping up at least I go done do before rug head Trumpeteer becomes president that's if he wins.

Just found out I'm preggie last week, it really been disturbing for me as it wasn't planned, but I thank God. My EDD is mid December and I have alot to do.

Quick question, I haven't been taking prenatal vitamins till last week and I'm past my 1st trimester, hope my baby will be okay. Also I started dieting like 3weeks ago, was just on fruits for 2weeks (I stopped the day I found out) hope it won't pose any side effects to my baby.

I have done 3 scans since I found out last week and all three say my baby is developing fine, also I have discussed with my gynaecologist and he says it will be fine but I'm still worried.

Now I'm on to preps, any info on cheap ticket to California, will be travelling late November. I would have loved to use Dr M since he is cheaper but I will be staying in Apple Valley in San Bernardino and it's about 2hours away. So I will just stick with my ob/gyn and hospital that I used last year (total bill was 5,500 for normal delivery).

Please if anyone has info on cheap tickets, please holla, I want to buy my ticket next week.

Thanks.

Credit card frm ur 9ja bank.

Just keep ur money with dem as cash backed and collect credit card to d limit of d cash u have placed as collateral.

For example, ur birthing is 3m, u need $10k+ yer, and Dollar is quite high. So place ur 3m in a fixed deposit with ur bank, use it as collateral for d credit card, spend up to $10k or more and pay your bills with ur credit card. Shikena. It's even easier thank form M andd it's settled at CBN rate! Gbam!
U pay monthly sef, and if ur cash flow is good, u end up having ur 3m back and use ur salary to pay for ur birthing in the long run.

This one that dollar has turned gulder ultimate search, na to find way around am o!
Okay. Will also get more info on this cos this dollar ish ain't going anytime soon. According to economy experts the say next year will be tougher. It's only God that will help us in these times...

nefertitiram:
So this got me thinking.

Instead of looking for dollar upanddan and wailing about non withdrawal thru naira cards abroad.

Why don't we just get dollar denominated credit cards?

Worst case scenario you will be asked to invest a sum of money as collateral, which obviously you will use to buy dollars, so just get a credit card instead with a limit of up to $10,000 and we are good to go.

How una check am? When there is a will there is a way na
I don't get, will the credit card be gotten From Naija or the US? If Naija, most credit cards in Naija have a 90 days clean up cycle and it's a loan so you have to fulfil all the conditions for a loan. Also the one third income rule will apply, say if your salary is 90k your loan repayment (for all your loans oh) should not be more than 30k. Please educate us further. So say you take if your take home is 100k I think the most you can take is say $150 and the card must swing into credit after 90days and you will also pay interest on the amount utilized. I never use credit card, please peeps wey don use can you further educate us too.

Check Burlington as their prices are fair, Walmart too, Marshalls is OK but a bit expensive Sha.
Is Marshalls online now, when I was in the US they weren't online and it pained me cos they have nice things in their stores, I had to go to store to shop.

Just a quick question please. Does a baby need to have his eyes opened when taking passport photograph to apply for his US and Nigerian passport. My boy is just 2 weeks old n na for night d guy dey like to shine his eyes.
Yes. Mine was 8 days when I took her to Walgreen, we were there for almost 2 hours cos she was sleeping. I had to use cold water to wake her up.

Another thing you can do which they were telling me to do, if you have a good phone you can take the picture yourself when he is awake and take to Walgreen for them to print but your baby's eyes must be open.

My younger brothers are identical twins, the previous preg were also identical boys (hubby's carbon copies). I find identical twins very cute, somewhat creepy if you think about it too, lol
Uh... no worry you will get your twin boys since it runs in your family. Don't get me wrong they can be cute but they creep me out. Imagine having 2 people that look alike, and they can be very mischievous. Frankly, identical twins scare me cause I like to know who I'm dealing with...

Your next baby nah for 2017 so if we begin fast, pray and put our "chalet in water" it will happen.

I agree with Jayjay4lyf. Though we cant understand science itself sometimes esp when we add ' in future"
It's the future I'm worried about cause I have had slip disc twice at this my young age.
Well I dey talk because I get option if I did CS, epidural wouldn't have been optional.
I just remembered like 2 nurses came to see me just because the heard a patient didn't use epidural, they were amazed and kept on hailing me that I'm a strong woman...

The incidence of back pain post delivery is almost 50%
Predisposing factors are varied, but EPIDURAL IS NOT ONE OF DEM.
Summary, with or without epidural, if u will have back pain, u will have it,
That's good to know, who knows might try epidural for my 3rd baby. I sha had my $500 for epidural and was screaming for it when the pain became so unbearable but I was checked and was fully dilated so there was no need for it.
I sha flexed that $500 I used it to give myself a special treat.

Mine failed halfway during surgery, and I have not recovered from it sef! I have a persistent backpain that has refused to go away, dunno if it's from carrying my whopper baby or just the epidural *sigh*
Back pain is one of the side effects of epidural, and I hear it gets worse if you carry heavy things like when you carry your baby with your carrier. That was one of the reasons I endured labor pain cos of back pain in future.

Pls,is there any immunization I need to give baby immediately we arrive naija. Baby is 3weeks now and we came into naija today. Pls any direction on this..
At birth, you are suppose to give your baby BCG, Hep B and OPV. In the US the give Hep B, so the remaining two that's BCG and OPV should be given to baby immediately you return. The will give ur baby a card that has the immunization schedule. Please ensure your baby takes all even the optional ones, it won't make sense to spend money in America and come back and not give your baby all the vaccines listed.

My people, especially the veterans...

Who will be nice enough to bless my life with a stroller? My job is very active and allows my baby roam with me, but her weight is not very friendly to my chest and back, sometimes I may need to have her next to me while I work and realised a stroller will solve my problem.

She is almost 3mths and weeighs 7.5kg.

So this is me saying

HELP A SISTER! cry
Those of you laughing at my predicament... yes, I can see you angry
A whole Nerf begging for stroller. Buy one nah....(I'm trying to mimic what you would have replied someone else). *Runs away immediately. I feel ur pain shay if you know you for buy in the US. I bought my Graco travel set from Target @ $199. I for give you but I still have one more baby journey. Please if anyone can spare hers for our dear Nerf.

See me crying that my baby is overweight she is 3 months 9days old and weighs 7kg because of her weight I'm doing exclusive for 6months.
