Lagusta: Garri affecting eyesight;
well, it depends on the garri processed. Cassava contains cyanide (u all know that anyway), which is a nephrotoxin and neurotoxin i.e it damages d kidneys and nerves. Therefore it affects eyesight.
The best garri to drink is IJEBU GARRI, cos it contains minimal to zero cyanide. If u wanna kno the original, then know these facts:
1) Garri that is tasteless is poison, only the sour variety is original
2) If u pour garri inside water, it must foam up, at least a bit. If not, throw it away
3) lastly, garri must swell up in water, if it just swims in it, drown it in the gutter.

So,garri is good, but i dont like mine with milk. Peanuts will do

oiseworld: i think the reporters missed it somewhere. Probably he was not in the elevator and was tring to get in. The elevator being inbetween the eight floor and the nineth floor opened mid way. With a larger part of it still on the ninth floor. The man not look properly stepped into a vaccum and started a decent from the eight floor downwards till he hit the ground.
I think this explanation would be more accepted but we still have to verify if his body was found inside the building that is in the elevator space or close to it. Or outside the building which makes no sense at all.

No one is objecting the benefit of the so called Islamic Banking, but i tell you that this so called system will be perverted by Nigerian Muslims (Northerners) claiming it's their own, whereas it was supposed to be for all. I know for sure most people in support of this system are Muslims and if this was named Olokun, Oronmila or perhaps Christianity banking system this same Muslims in support of this system now will oppose it due to its name. I think at this time religion has caused a lot of crisis in Nigeria hence no development of any sort should be associated with any religious organizations and so the name ISLAMIC should be erased. Give it a more generally acceptable name if it must stand i.e Non-interest banking system. My opinion
