EMMAACHILE:Okay |
Nma27:Copy and paste? I wrote this in July and was just going through my blog and decided to share it here. And if you read the post, I wasn't talking about total abstinence. |
Thanks to all that took time to read the article before it hit front page. Most of the people commenting after it hit front page only read the article title and commented based on that alone. |
Tygaah:Thank you. |
EMMAACHILE:I find this hard to believe. I deal with cockerel for many years. They might be tall and look big, but it is mostly feathers. |
skillful01:Thank you. |
steppin:No. Na Shina Peters pikin. |
KyleBrry:That's why I said it should be for a period of time...maybe 4-6 weeks. |
Let's not fool ourselves, most guys in their 20s or even late teens have regular casual sex, so I am not here to preach total abstinence from sex. I am here to speak on the benefits of abstaining from sex for a period of time (maybe 4-8 weeks) and then going back to it. The benefits are enormous. Oh, and to the ladies, I am a guy, so I can't authoritatively speak on the benefits for females, that is why this article is just for men.http://outoftheordinary101..com.ng/2016/07/7-advantages-of-abstinence-for-men.html#more

tripleace:Okay. Thanks. An average cockerel weighs about 2kg. Does it mean layers weigh more than Cockerels? |
soberdrunk:Hmm

This article is all about actors who turned down movie roles. Please note that these actors didn't know the movies were going to be big at the time they were offered the roles. Some of them had an idea the movies were going to be huge, and didn't want to be typecast for the role they would have played in the movies for the rest of their lives, but most didn't know the movies were going to be big. I guess there is a reason for everything, cos most of the movie roles this actors turned down were taken by people who did justice to the roles. Below are 6 actors who turned down big movie roles. People now use actor as a general term to refer to male and female individuals who act...so, don't get confused when you see a female name below. 1. Angela Basset (Leticia in Monsters Ball- 2001) She turned down the role to play the character of Leticia in Monsters Ball. She said it was too black stereotype and she couldn't imagine herself playing a role that was close to being a prostitute on screen. Hallie Berry didn't mind playing the ex-rated sex scene, and she took up the role. That got Hallie her one and only Oscar award. 2. Will Smith (Neo in Matrix- 1999) Well, I have to say thank God Will Smith turned down this role. I am a fan of his, but Keanu Reeves was born to play Neo in Matrix...I can't even imagine how the movie would have been with Will Smith playing that part. Can you? 3. John Travolta (Lead Role in Splash- 1984) Well, I think Travolta would have still been good for this movie. He was doing his lover-boy thing back in the 80s, so he would have fit in just right for this movie. 4. John Travolta (Forest Gump in Forest Gump- 1994) Do John Travolta and Tom Hanks look alike? Hmm! I guess a little, when they were younger. I am trying to understand why they kept getting picked for same roles in movies. Anyway, once again, good thing John Travolta turned down the role. It was like Tom Hanks was made for that role. And yea, it got him his second Oscar award. 5. Sean Connery (Gandalf in Lord of the Rings- 2001...) I think Sean Connery would have still done a good job playing Gandalf, but we all know Ian McKellen did a great job. 5. Robert De Niro (Tony Montana in Scarface- 1983) De Niro and Pacino were always offered similar roles in movies earlier on in their individual careers, as they were two of the top Italians in Hollywood at the time, and gangster/mafia movies were trending back then. De Niro even tried to get the role of Michael Corleone in The Godfather, before he ended up getting a role in the part two of the movie as the young Vito Corleone. Which he played pretty well, and got an Oscar for. But with Scarface...nah!!! I am a De Niro fan, but I believe Sacrface was made for Pacino. De Niro is your laid back but mean gangster, while Pacino is the all in your face loud gangster. Pacino did a super great job in Scarface. 6. Jack Nicholson (Vito Corleone in The Godfather- 1972) Jack Nicholson was and still is a great actor, but I think I love the fact that he turned down that role and let Marlon Brando play that part. 7. Al Pacino (Lead Role in Pretty Woman- 1990) I laughed when I saw this. I mean, who was handling the casting for Pretty Woman back then? Pacino acting a romance movie in 1990? Richard Gere was perfect for that movie, and I don't think it would have been as big as it was/is if it was Pacino and Julia Roberts. 8. Michelle Pfeiffer (Lead Role in Pretty Woman- 1990) Yea, Pfeiffer is a good actress, and she was big at the time, and I am sure she would have done a great job. But its good she turned down that role and let a relatively unknown Julia Roberts (22 at the time) take the part. Which is still one of the biggest movies of Roberts career. http://outoftheordinary101..com.ng/2016/12/8-actors-who-turned-down-big-movie-roles.html

Hello guys...old layers are always tough competition for we chicken sellers during christmas market sales, as poultry owners can afford to sell off their old layers to market women at really cheap prices, and this sometimes affects the price we that spend so much on feeding Broilers, Noilers, or Cockerels can sell our chickens, as some people in certain areas prefer to buy the cheapest chicken they see in the market. So, if they see a big Broiler that cost N3,000, they might prefer to buy two old layers that cost N1,400 each (N2,800). Long story short, I just want to have an idea what an average layer/pullet weighs, as my female Noilers are like pullets, but I am sure they weight heavier than pullets.
|
EMMAACHILE:That's the same problem I have with my noilers. Some are big and some are just too Damn small. |

The news about MMM Nigeria freezing the accounts of its memberss is all over the news in Nigeria right now, but in this article, I am not going to be talking about that. I am also not going to be talking about whether MMM has crashed or not, or what MMM is. I am going to be talking about why MMM was so successful in Nigeria. Even though a lot of people believe the scheme has come to an end (which I don't totally believe), I just want to talk about why it was so successful in a very short period of time. MMM Nigeria kicked off in the country in November 2015, and by June of 2016, it was all over the place. Yes, the recession played a major part in people buying into it so fast, but a few other reasons can be named why it has been so successful. I am sure everyone knows one or two people that have money invested in MMM. Personally, I know people that have hundreds of thousands of Naira put into the scheme. So, why was it so successful in such a short period of time? Below are 5 reasons why I feel MMM was so successful in Nigeria. 1. The Recession Number one on the list has to be because of the recession. We are going through a great depression in Nigeria right now, and things are so hard; people are finding it hard to get jobs, people that had jobs are losing them, and prices of household items are skyrocketing by the day. So, people are constantly looking for means to earn money...and fast. MMM Nigeria promises (and to the best of my knowledge, they have been delivering) 30% on each clients investment into the scheme monthly. This gave a lot of people hope in the hard-times we are currently experiencing in the country, and people invested heavily in it. Some even went ahead to borrow money to invest in MMM. 2. The 30% ROI This is one of the sweetest reasons, and the biggest attracting factor of people to MMM; the 30% Return On Investment. Imagine you are able to convince a family member or a financial institution to loan you a million Naira for investment, and you put that million Naira into MMM...you would be getting three hundred thousand Naira on that million every month. That is something, right? Yea, that's one the things that drew a lot of people into putting their money into MMM; whether it was the person that invested N30,000, or the one that invested N30,000,000. 3. Get Rich Quick Factor Everyone wants to be rich and enjoy the good life, and most people are always looking for a shortcut to success. 30% return on investment will multiply your money exponentially in a very short while, and people want to get a lot of money in as short a period as possible, so people jumped at MMM, even with all the possible risks involved. 4. There is No Central Account Where Money is Kept This is another big factor that got MMM Nigeria a lot of clients; the fact that you don't pay in your money into an MMM account, but pay into a fellow MMM members account that needs help/money. People believe their money is safer this way. 5. Nigeria's Population This is one the major reasons why I feel MMM is still a long way from crashing. Nigeria is not only the most populous nation in Africa, it is the most populous black nation in the world. With a population of 170 million people and counting (7th most populous nation in the world), there would be a lot more people who are willing to risk investing their money in the scheme. As long as MMM unfreezes members accounts next month and keeps paying out 30% monthly to clients, word of mouth would keep spreading the news of MMM like wildfire within Nigeria, and more Nigerian citizens will put their money in it. As long as there are more people willing to invest in MMM, the scheme will keep growing. http://outoftheordinary101..com.ng/2016/12/5-reasons-why-mmm-was-so-successful-in.html

Babzilla:Me too. I see Indomie Noodles promo vans everywhere these days in Ibadan. I guess their sales have dropped drastically. |
I have a Tecno P5 for sale at a cheap price of 7K in the Ibadan. I want to get a bigger phone and I want to sell the Tecno. Some specs of the phone- 4.2 jelly bean, 1800mAH battery capacity, 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, 4.0 inch screen, and 5.0 megapixels camera. I like to be very plain, so I would list advantages and disadvantages of the phone. Disadvantages #Mouth piece isn't working well...so you have to put the phone on speaker to hear well during a phone call. But I am sure that could be fixed within 10 minutes at the phone technicians shop. #No charger...but I will give you the cord I use to charge it with my laptop. #Mic Jack isn't working fine. It touches...you can't listen to music and walk around. You have to steady the phone in one place if you want to listen to music or watch a movie. #Although the battery lasts long, it dies once it reaches 18%. Advantages #Long lasting battery (4-5 hours on heavy use). #Working perfectly well. #Good price. #Large internal memory (4 Gig). I don't even use a memory card as the internal memory is enough for me. If you are interested, you can reach me on 0 8 0 27794635 (Call, Text, or Whatsapp). You can get this as your main phone, or as your second phone.

I am looking for a way to transport my 50 chickens from Ibadan to Lagos. They are not fully mature yet, so they won't take too much space. Please, I need ideas on the best way to go with this that won't cost me a fortune. Thanks in advance. |
