PuristForest: None atm but will load redstar, ftn and royal in that order when specified targets hits, im a very patient trader thats the way you make money, i dont chase the market, if it hits it hits, if e no hit, i keep looking...someone on prev page mentioned something about pz agm suggesting to catch the trend, thats a very easy way to tie your money down or loose it....while fundamentals are good, they don't register the movements you see in the market, its the reaction of humans (investors) that moves the market, if you see a spike and chase the market, what happens if they decide to take profit. thas whats called von restoff effect in behavioural analysis where you see something that stands out and get triggered in a certain way, its used a lot in advertisement, investors use it a lot too in trading to induce the market in a certain direction by printing some ridicuous candles that many retail traders will notice and then they move the opp way, its a classic manipulation pattern and also a strategic way to source for liquidity because all those who have bought will be forced to sell to them as a result of the pressure. Tantalizer meets my technical requirement, so did cwg wheni mentioned it in aug..and someone responded "Any reason to buy a dead company, abi u wan play bet9ja with your capital?"...i have taken the profit from that trade since , after buying 200k units of the shares and now im in again though lower units now.... i typically don't have time to respond to those type of comments. infinity is also doing the same thing, i would never invest in n asset with a trend that i cant count the waves, it makes no sense at all, its like driving in the dark, you're at the mercy of bandits and kidnappers, markets don't move in a straight line. i know it has done 5 waves down so the trend is up but that impulsive move to 2.13 is very manipulative in context and theres a sloped trendline resistance around 2.2 so i may consider it if it returns to 1.8 support, will definately watch it closer if 1.6, ideally thats will be the best entry point in mayb 2 wks, other than that it can go to 100 i dont give a damn about it, its events, news, announcement, corporate earnings, only the chart. TIP is very good, the waves subdivide nicely and the top at 1.168 has been broken which is healthy but beware that there has not been any solid correction for this asset. i missed that train, waiting for any good setup with it so im on the side.multiverse is still good, i think the current wave 3 will extend to1.6 fib @ 12.2 region before finding correction else 9.82-10 region which is 100fibs and 2.618 of wave 1 @4.665 but this is very unlikely given the wave structure...oando is good, if you missed this rally then wait to by at 7 ish. Alright. What do you think of Eterna at current price & setup? *** I am already in. Contemplating whether to double down or ... Not a RECOMMENDATION!!! |

kalkah: The volatility of Neimeth has high volatility followed with long stagnancy. In August it reach 2.2 and pull back to 1.6, Last week goes up to 2.45 and pull back to 1.6ish within the week. I have started my exit this morning. Fidson and MB are better with good fundamentals and prospects. The objective of the person mopping up Neimeth has been achieved so most likely there's going to be a strong pull back. He's gotten his 5% stake. |

ositadima1: Based on current plans and progress, Ellah Lakes Plc is anticipated to commence revenue generation in 2025. Their 2,400 hectare oil palm plantation in Edo State is projected to commence oil production in 2024, and their cassava processing plant is also anticipated to be operational in 2024. Upon the operationalization of these facilities, Ellah Lakes will be able to begin selling their products and generating revenue.
Its total equity stands at 19.9 billion naira as at the end of July 2023, which has been increasing, primarily owing to land appreciation. The group has been incurring an average of 900 million naira annually to run the farm and business. I estimate that they will expend a total of approximately 2 billion naira before commencing revenue generation in 2025. This amount will be covered by land appreciation.
ELLAHLAKES possesses 5,000 hectares of land, with 2,100 hectares currently planted, while OKOMUOIL owns over 32,000 hectares of land, with 19,000 hectares planted.
Below is a simplified back-of-the-envelope calculation of what may be anticipated from ELLAHLAKES in 2025:
*Currently, OKOMUOIL generates 16.2 billion naira in profit after tax (PAT) from their 19,000 hectares.
*I project ELLAHLAKES to generate 1.8 billion naira in PAT from their 2,100 hectares proportionally.
*Assuming reduced efficiency due to ELLAHLAKES being relatively new, 0.8 x 1.8 billion naira = 1.44 billion naira in PAT.
*Earnings per share (EPS) of 1.44 billion naira / 2 = 0.72 naira.
*At the current price of 3.13 naira per share, the price-to-earnings (PE) ratio should be 4.34 compared to 14 for OKOMUOIL.
*Estimated dividend yield of (0.72 naira / 3.13 naira) x .8 = 16%.
Conclusion: If all goes well, purchasing it now or at a lower price, if feasible, would be akin to purchasing UCAP in 2020, lol.
Additionally, I have observed increased interest in the stock in the last 3 months. A stock that previously traded below 10 million naira in a month is now trading 300 million and 190 million naira monthly.
If I may ask, why post now after 3 months observation? Do you have it in your portfolio already? Can you add a disclaimer if you already have it in your portfolio as a guide to newbies though TA wise it is ... Thank you |

BabsO2: I limited my answer to the question. FCMB was not part of the question. We are still waiting for its Q3. The Q2 book value was N17.35. Many banks didn't change much between Q2&3 numbers because of impairments booked in Q3 Grateful. You have spoken, let those who have inner eyes see. Hopefully, I am not shaking too much tables for some people. Just pitying ... The WAILING, .... IT WILL BE LOUD!!! Back to my pigeon hole. |

BabsO2: I think the banks listed still have value in them based on Q3 book values per share and historical price to book ratios. Earnings per share have also improved for the banks going forward. However, there could be elevated impairment losses this year and next year due to the tough economic climate. How much this may erode value going forward, requires monitoring. Below are book values per share of the three banks based on Q3 numbers. Zenith N61.11 GTCO N42.39 Fidelity N12.84 NB these book values can be eroded easily by impairments.
Fidelity is the weakest amongst the three based on historical price to book values.
I am not monitoring BUA Cement and Dangcement that much. @BabsO2 Any reason you mentioned just these 3? FCMB has a higher BV than Fidelity though cheaper. Just asking as still trying to burnish my investment skills. |

essentialone: I received a pay-off from Union Bank yesterday afternoon. I nearly shed tears of sadness. I obtained a loan of five hundred thousand naira in 2005, as a civil servant, and invested same on Union Bank shares, with no appreciable dividends declared, since then. I was paid fifty thousand naira yesterday, for five hundred-thousand-naira investment in 2005. This is sad, and unfortunate. A discouragement on investing in shares, which I believe now should be for those who wish to trade in shares, and not for civil servants, who are thinking of life, after retirement. Most of our investment on shares, between 2003 and 2008, were wasted by some Directors, of the quoted companies. Sorry for your loss then take it as your school fees. At least you got something back. ResortSAL some of us bought the Private placement and management deceitfully gave 1.1 after IPO, how far? Not to talk of Standard Alliance & UNHomes. Take is as a call to invest the time and energy needed to develop mastery in this field if you intend to do this.
