damosade: You better do your research right before running your mouth. Lack of knowledge is a disease. You that graduated from conventional university, how many research works were you able to do while in university? Sebi na copy copy project yo do.I have seen many graduates that cannot spell their names and they finished from acclaimed almighty conventional universities. The thirst for Intellectual development varies from man to man. If you put some people for MIT. if they don't have quest for knowledge nothing can be done to change that. Noun university has library and competent lecturers. Noun is meant for matured mind not amugbo bro Aiye e ada. In fact I don't know what else to say. Ironically, I am a student of open university and I write projects for conventional university students and get paid handsomely. Cc: chowlade |

I will firstly want to know the motive of this post, if it is to condemn the system or complain to the right institution. That being said, I will also want to know if the poster is a student of noun or one of those outsiders who badmouth the system (and I am not sure she is because some if not most of what she said is not true). I will also want to know the source or sources of the poster of her research to know that noun students do not research. While she's answering that, has she been to Ilorin, Port Harcourt centers among other centers to know that noun students don't receive lectures. I doubt if she knows the meaning of Open University that she said course materials are not readily available. What are lie! Visit the school website and see all the courses materials. I know a lecturer of a conventional university who visits noun courseware for his lectures. And you said nysc , I have said it before and will say it again. Open university students are not expected to serve, students that are clamouring for it are only disturbing their selves or doing so out of ignorance. And you also mentioned students turning to destitute, now tell me which institution does not have smokers, prostitutes among others. Like I said earlier, few of the things said by the op is right and many are wrong. Again, I will want to know the motive of this post. If it is to complain to the right channel, I agree, if it is to condemn it, well na bad market.

Islam › Re: Importance Of Reciting Suratul Al Khaf On Fridays by Kazrem(m): 5:14pm On Jul 31, 2015 |
Toeyean1507: As salam alaykum waramotullah wabarakatu. SOME BENEFITS OF RECITING SURAH KAHF ON FRIDAY: The recitation of Surah Al-Kahf on Friday is a preferred act and there is merit in it ... and there is no difference between a person reciting it from the Book, or by heart ... and the day, according to the Islamic law, is from the time of sunrise until sunset ... and based upon this, if a person recites it after the Friday prayer, he will receive the reward for it. 1. Abu Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) related that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said, " One who memorized the first ten verses of Suratul Kahf will be secure against the Dajjal. Another version says: "One who commits to his memory the last 10 verses of this surah will remain immune from the Dajjal. [Sahih Muslim; Chapter134, Book 4, Number 1766,1767] 2. Whoever recites the Surah al Kahf on a Friday, a light will be created for him until the next Friday [Al Hakim and Al Bayhaqi - Sahih] 3. Al Baraa' said a man was reading Suratul Kahf in his home and there was an animal in it (it did not specify if it was a cat or dog or goat -- it just used the general term for animal) that started to become uneasy or nervous. He looked up and saw a mist or a cloud and it deceived him. He mentioned it to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and he said, "Read (he said the person's name) for verily sakinah descends for (the recitation of) Qur'an". [Al Bukhari, Muslim] May Allaah reward all our good deeds. Jazakumullah |

RotimiBliss: Pls I need ur help,I'm an aspiring student willin to study Mass comm in Noun, pls I like to knw 1. How much is d Sch fees like and other payments dat may be included? 2. The Course duratn, 4 or 5yrs ? 3. If I get a form nw,will I be able to write the next exam wit dem ?
Pls qiuck help ,for me to know if I wil able to afford it.Thanks. Sorry for replying late. Being damn busy. 1. We do not pay school fees. We pay for compulsory fee, course registration and exam registrations. We pay every semester. Compulsory fee for a new student in first semester is usually 41k while it's 13k in second semester. Subsequently, compulsory fee is 23k and 13k respectively. Course registration is always 2k for 2 unit courses and 2.5k for 3 unit courses. Exam registration is always 1k irrespective of it's unit course. So you will multiply the number of courses you want to do with the amount. You Kay choose to do lesser number of courses for affordability purpose. 2. The course duration is 4 years. It can't be more unless you default. 3. Yes you can if you pay. |
