Good evening everyone. The intra Zonal transfer of teachers employed in 2013, was approved for implementation, after a strenuous review process today. Few corrections were made in respect of core subjects and the list will be pasted at the Zonal office on Thursday 04/0925 afternoon, while collection of letters will continue on Friday 05/09/25, for onward movement to the new duty post, on resumption day for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Exactly my brother, everyone has been rightly promoted to the correct grade level 12. The issue of steps is the responsibility of the respective boards. Those on 12/6 & 12/7 for SSSB were on 8/3 & 8/4. Those on step 12/10 were formally on between 8/12 - 8/15. It was not an error, just that many of you guys didn't know.
Ideally, steps are increased by the board annually or biannually. Those who were lucky had theirs implemented while those who weren't lucky, well it was not implemented. I had said it before, in my former school we filled the increment forms, mine wasn't implemented but some of my colleagues we started together on same grade level and step, theirs was implemented. So the thing is that in placing steps, those with higher steps before the promotion cannot be placed on the same step as others who had lower steps. In other words, 8/3 and 8/13 cannot be placed on same pedestal. 8/3 could be 12/6 and 8/13 could be 12/10. SSSB implemented arrears of steps in their board, UBE board should also implement the steps for their board[/quote]

don't drag SSSB teacher's into the high-handedness of the UBE board. It's not our fault that your board is refusing to do the right thing. That's how the other day teacher's of UBE went to the ministry of finance protesting that the salaries and steps of their counterparts in SSSB be reduced to the same level as that of the UBE if the finance doesn't want to also increase their own. We gave you guys the info about our high step so that you can push for yours to be increased too, not to go there and be saying ours should be reduced for uniformity

Talk what you know.In my school, apart from the principal and the two vices, teachers having B.ed are on 8/4 and those with B.sc are on8/3. Today two of my colleagues are currently on 12/10 but where on 8/4 for having B.ed before.Non of my colleagues had step increments before.

I'm telling you what I know, you're probably pained that some of your colleagues have higher steps while you don't. Step increments is ideally for everyone yearly or biannually,but for some reasons it's not implemented. While you sit down like a big man/woman waiting for your step increment to be implemented which hardly happens, your colleagues made moves to have theirs implemented and it paid off. We all desire step increment as it's our right in the job, but when yours hasn't happened, don't be angry that another person's own has happened. The lesson is don't sit down idly waiting for handouts simply because it's your right. If you can move to get your right, move and get it implemented. Ask them how they followed up to get their due increment implemented instead of coming here to create the impression that they have marginalized you or that their increment shouldn't be implemented because yours hasn't.

With how you sound, it's obvious that if you have a way to undo the implementation of their increment to be on the same scale as yours, you will gladly do it. After all, you all started at the same point, so why must they rise when you haven't risen

8/3 is on 12/7 and 8/4 is on 12/8.some person's I saw there nominal role are on8/10 but we're on 8/4

those currently on 12/10 had their steps increased from time to time after the general recruitment in 2013. Step increments is supposed to be yearly or biannually but for reasons best known to the boards it's not strictly applied. Sometime ago in my former school, we were given step increment forms, we all filled and submitted but mine was not implemented even though my colleagues benefitted. Some other schools in my LGA didn't even hear about it and as such did not benefit. So I believe those whose steps are high even though we all started at same grade level and step, probably had their increment implemented at some point. I pray that going forward, such increments will apply to all

TSS has an educational qualification and is placed on a higher salary, CONPSS of same level and step earns a much lower salary cause he or she doesn't possess an educational qualification .
Basically the difference lies in the fact that qualified teachers are placed on TEACHERS SALARY SCALE (TSS) with better pay while teachers without B.ed or PGDE are placed on Consolidated Public Service Salary Structure (CONPSS) with lower pay since they're not seen as qualified teachers

I see, however most, if not all of us 2012/2013 teachers are placed on TSS even without educational qualification ( I stand to be correct though)

one board is senior, while the other board is junior. Don't put eye in your senior brother/sister salary...lolz, na joke oooo. Don't worry guys, the corrections will be made and payments harmonized

no board yet for RSSSB, probably after his activities for his 100 days in office, he may then look in that direction
