How many times have we seen this happen, if Arsenal was bidding for Sanchez with Chelsea, Sanchez would have ended up at Chelsea, with Wenger settling for a less talented player for a lesser price.

That must change, if Arsenal must become a European power house in football.

Baba, lets be real here, you cant compare our spending power with the likes of Real, barca, psg, chelsea. They are richer than our club, they can afford to pay mad wages, we cant compete with them in transfer market. Players will always prefer them. Players care about money now and we cant afford to be paying the type of wages these teams pay there players, unless FFP is enforced.

Liverpool offered more money to Barca for Sanchez than Wenger was willing to. Arsenal would have lost Sanchez if he were after money only like most modern footballers. This was similar to the Higuain deal, Wenger refused to pay as high as Napoli was offering to Madrid.

That mindset has got to change if Arsenal is to become great! If you see a player that fits into your plan, by all means, pay all that is necessary to get him and keep him don't settle for less quality so that you could pay less. This is the philosophy of the three top clubs of the world today ie Barca Madrid and Bayern. It's the way forward for any club aspiring to topple them.
