SIN SEPARATES MAN FROM GOD - Saturday, May 16th.
Bible Reading: Ex 33:1-5,7.

As it was in the beginning God and sin cannot be together. It was sin, that is, the disobedience of Adam and Eve that separated them from God.

So also, was it when Israel sinned against God by raising up a molten calf for themselves in the place of God?
God decided not to be in the midst of the people any longer nor go before them as He had promised, because He is a consuming fire, and cannot condone sin.

For the good of the people, God said He would not go with them so that they would not be consumed. This led Moses to remove the tabernacle which signifies the presence of God away from the camp, so that it would not be polluted by sin and that God might not consume the people that He had then just redeemed with His own hand according to the text above.

Sin brings separation between man and God (Isaiah 59, Hab 1:13)

When God leaves a person, Satan comes in. Let us learn from the life of King Saul, the man who played the fool. When God left him an evil spirit possessed him.

You must put a high price upon the Spirit of God that is in you, that is the only differentiating power in you.
Take the presence of God away from you, you are empty, you are nothing.
It is the presence of God in your life that makes the difference.

Whatever our Lord Jesus did, it was by the presence of the Spirit of God in His life.

That was why King David wept before God when he sinned. He did not want God to leave him. Do not take your Holy Spirit away from me he cried.

Today, flee from every appearance of sin.

If there is any unconfessed and unforsaken sin in your life, quickly confess it (Prov 28:13). Do not nurse sin. Address that sin today, call the sin by its name and get rid of it before it chokes the life of God out of you.

Prayer: Examine your life today, make it a habit not to sleep each night until you examine whether there is any sin in your life and if there is confess it and obtain forgiveness.
You the leaven of sin, I uproot you from my life, you will not grow any further in me in Jesus name.
Ask God to fill you afresh with His Holy Spirit.

Confession: From today, I separate myself from every type of sin and worldliness in order to stick to God.

WHO IS ON THE LORD'S SIDE? - Friday, May 15th.
Bible Reading: Exo 32:26

The people of Israel rebelled too soon, against the commandments of God not to worship idol. However in the midst of this disobedience, there were still few ones among them who were on the Lord's side, who had made up their minds not to defile themselves with the world.

To be on the Lord's side means to be loyal to God.
It means to be different in the midst of the world that is indifferent and disobedient to God.

To be on God's side means not to be friendly with the world (James 4:4).

To be on God's side means not to defile yourself with the things of the world and do as Daniel and the three Hebrew children did in Babylon (Dan. 1,3).

To be on God's side is to fear God to the extent that you consider any sin as a sin against God, just like Joseph did (Gen. 39:7-9).

In the Exodus 32:26 text, the Levites showed uncommon loyalty by separating themselves from the rebellion of the people. Moses then commissioned them to go through the camp and execute their rebel-relatives.
For their loyalty to God, they became God's ministers.

Everything has reward. When you stay loyal to God, you will become His special person, you will be promoted. You will receive a blessing from the Lord.

Daniel and his friends refused to worship or bow down for another god, they separated themselves unto God among many people in the land of their captivity, and God rewarded them with uncommon promotion and they became exalted even above the "sons of the soil" of that land. (Dan 3:30)

What of the Hebrew midwives, when they refused to obey Pharoah to commit abortion and mass murder as requested by the king of Egypt against Israelite pregnant women? God rewarded them and built them enduring houses in the land. (Ex 1:15-20)

As you go about your duty today, make up your mind that you will not defile yourself with the king's feast, make up your mind that you will not be part of the problem of the world. Make up your mind that you will not join the multitude to do evil today, no matter what the profit or gain that may be attached to it. Sin brings reproach, it is only righteousness that exalts (Prov 14:34).

Friendliness with the world is enmity against God. God is counting on you today as His person, as He counted on Job.
In 2 Chronicles 16:9a, the scripture says: For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong on behalf of them whose heart is perfect towards him.

Be on the Lord's side. He is counting on you.

Confession: As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. My children and their children will serve the Lord. The excellent spirit of Christ is in me. I am different from the world system today in my thoughts, attitude and action.
I will not follow multitude today to do evil.

MOSES THE INTERCESSOR - Thursday, May 14th.
Bible Reading: Exodus 32:10-14

Moses pleaded the case of the Israelites by reminding God about His convenant to the patriarchs and by telling God of what people around would say of Him if the destruction He wanted to carry out upon Israel should be executed. And the Lord repented, that is, changed His mind.
Our God is great in mercy and He is long-suffering. He does not want anyone to die; He cannot hold his anger against man for too long. His anger is but for a moment.

However, He needs a man who will stand in the gap for His people, who will through prayer restrain His hand from cutting off His people.
Today, you are the Moses of some people around you. God wants to intercede for sinners around you and who are on the highway to perdition. God wants you to intercede and set the oppressed around you free.
You should take your eyes away from your problem and focus on the people around you. You should realize the urgency and the need to preach to that friend or boss of yours today so that he or she will not die in his sin. There is also the urgent need to stand in the gap for your city, pleading for mercy because of her decadence just like God told Ezekiel in chapter 33 vs 7-9.

God has made you a watchman too, keep not silent. Don't put on an I don't care attitude about the explosion of sins in the world, care because God cares.
I pray that God will burden your heart for His people in Jesus name.

Prayer: Ask for the spirit of prayer and intercession in Jesus name. Pray that God will open your eyes to see the dire need in the lives of men around you and be able to minister to them. Holy Spirit, burden my heart, with the love for your people. Help me today to love your people the way you love me and saved me in Jesus name.

How people quickly forget the good deeds of men of God! How the children of Israel so soon forget Moses! The same Moses that God used to bring them out of Egypt, the same Moses that God used to work signs and wonders, such as parting of the Red Sea, to bring water out of the rock, and manna from heaven, the same Moses that risked his life to stand before Pharoah, the same Moses that sacrificed his family to lead them. Man of God beware!

This was why Jesus said if they can do this to green wood, how much more the dry? They have done likewise to the fathers of old, so don't be suprised, don't be discouraged.

You might have laboured and given all you have in the service of God in a particular place and be expecting the people to remember you and relate well with you even when you have left them, but then they forgot about you like they did Moses.

Everything is silent around you, no phone calls, no usual gifts from the place where you have expended the better part of your life.

People have a tendency to forget about men of God so soon, but God cannot forget His men. That is why God said He is their portion.

He also said He is their exceeding great reward. Which means men of God should not look for reward from any man. God is the only one who can reward them.

Jesus said that after we must have done all we are told to do, we should call ourselves unprofitable servants.

Do not make a habit of receiving praise from men. If you do, you will soon be disappointed if the praise ceases.

The scripture says and Jesus knew what was in men therefore He did not commit Himself unto them. This should be your attitude, love men, serve them, but do not commit yourself to them, do not put your trust in them but in God.

I prophesy upon you today that you come out of every disappointment you have received from man. Receive the touch of Jesus for the hurts in your heart caused by reliance on men.

I command every grief and heaviness to be lifted from your heart.

In the name of Jesus, I command you to move forward in that which God has given you to do. You shall be rewarded in Jesus name. What men cannot or will not do. God Himself will do for you in Jesus name.

Prayer: I cleanse my heart of all hurts emanating from abandonment and disappointment that I have nursed against any man or group by the blood of Jesus.

Confession: They looked unto Him they were lightened and were not put to shame, so says the scripture, Lord I look unto you today and I know I shall not be put to shame. The Lord is the portion of my life, I am rewarded by Him. I am not moved by whatever any man may do to me today in Jesus name.

THE SPIRIT OF GOD IS MANY-SIDED. - Tuesday, May 12th.
Bible Reading: Isaiah 11:2

The Spirit of God has many sides and the many sides usually manifest in:
(i) Wisdom (ii) Understanding (iii) Knowledge (iv) In all manner of workmanship (v) Witty invention (vi) Might (vii) Counsel (viii) Doing battle or any particular assignment one is given to do.

When the Spirit of God comes into your life. He comes in wisdom, understanding and knowledge in the area of particular assignment God has given you.

Whatever assignment you have to do today, you need of Spirit of God to particularly empower you for it.

In Isaiah 11:2, the Spirit of God was prophetically declared would be on Jesus fully because of the great assignment given to Him.

The Spirit of the Lord came upon Samson as might to prevail in battle.

The Spirit of the Lord came upon Bezaleel and Aholiab who were given the assignment of beautification of the temple, for cunning works in all manner of workmanship.

It came upon the apostles to help them to preach the gospel (Act 1:.

I pray for you today that whatever may be your assignment, the spirit of God will come upon you to empower you in that specific area of your assignment in Jesus name.

DEAL WITH THE SPIRIT OF EGYPT - Sunday, May 10th.
Bible Reading: Ex 14:10-12

The spirit of Egypt is the spirit of slavery. It is the mindset that prefers the negative life.
It is a mindset that adapts to the present hardship, a mind that prefers the suffering of the moment to daring to break free and breakthrough.
It is the spirit that makes people to be satisfied with their present difficult condition.
It is the spirit that covers people's eyes and prevents them from seeing deliverance in the midst of affliction.
It is this spirit that keeps people bound in sin.
The spirit of Egypt makes one to constantly worry and be fearful about the future outcome of events.
The spirit of Egypt is a destroyer, it destroyed all the Isrealites who allowed it in their lives and prevented them from reaching the promised land.
When a man is bound by the spirit of Egypt, gratitude and thanksgiving will be far from him.
That is why God had to warn Israel in the book of Isaiah chapters 30 and 31 not to think of going back to Egypt for help. Remember Lot's wife too. Because Egypt is a place of sin, in Galatians 5:1 we are warned to stand therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free and not be entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
My advice to you today, is to do this one thing, that is, forgetting the past, and be positive about your situation, look ahead with enthusiasm for what God will do in your life today.
Renew your mind with the word of God (Rom 12:1).

HOW CAN SATAN CAST OUT SATAN? - Saturday, May 9.
Bible Reading: Mark 3:23-27

How can Satan cast out Satan? It is impossible. This is an issue of deliverance and where you go for the deliverance.

The question is what happens to those who go to various satanic spiritual houses for healing, miracles or deliverance and share testimonies of receiving the deliverance or miracle from God. The scripture says God cannot lie (Titus 1:2). One thing we should concede to Satan is that he is wise; if he allows one demon to cast out another that means his kingdom is already divided and, therefore cannot stand. I want you to know Satan's kingdom will continue until the earth ceases, until the time when he would be put under chain and lock. If Satan cannot cast out Satan, then what is happening in these satanic spiritual houses is one of these two;
(a) The demons go into alliance or agreement with themselves.
(b) Due to the hierachy in the Satan's kingdom, the stronger demons have the power to suppress the lesser ones and so do.

This is why most of the time so-called healing or deliverance "received" is not permanent. The moment the recipient of such miracle or deliverance disconnects from such spiritual houses the problem re-surfaces and most of the time, in greater and higher dimension.
So don't be deceived by the various lies from such spiritual houses, where Jesus Christ is not preached, but only sacrifices and rituals are the order of the day. Do not go to them, you will only be complicating your problem. Rather, hand over your problems to Jesus He is the only One that has the solution to your problem.
Remember Satan cannot cast out Satan!

Prayer: I separate myself with the blood of Jesus and fire of the Holy Ghost from Satan and his cohorts.

Confession: I refuse to be cast out by Satan or be condemned by him.

HE KNOWS YOUR STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES - Friday, May 8th.
Bible Reading: Exodus 13:17-18

God knows us and knows our ways (Ps. 139). God loves man so much that He gave His son to mankind.

Romans 8:32 declares He that spared not his own son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things.

Heb 4:15 says We have not a high priest which, cannot be touch the feeding of our infirmities (that is weakness).

God understood the state of mind of the Israelites who were slaves in Egypt who were just formed into a nation. God knew they were yet to change their slave mentality, the mindset of their former environment, where God did not want them to stay any longer and also because these people were yet to be trained in warfare so that the enemy would not take advantage of their inexperience and fear both of which naturally makes a man not to believe heart, hence God decided to take them through the longer way, the way of the Red Sea instead of the shorter way of Philistia.

Most of the time as men, we fret, and worry, when we think our plans, our goals and our lives are not going the way we want. This is not because God does not love us. He in actual fact loves us and wants to prepare and train us so that we become matured before getting to where He is taking us. He did not want us to go back to the place of slavery, that is, the place of sin, hence He leads us gradually and systematically. Because He knows the enemies are on a particular road, He takes us through another route.

Therefore today, as you go out, you might have been fretting, worried that your business goals and, your expectations are not being achieved. Don't worry rather give thanks to God for His love and concern for you in making sure you get to your destination safely, and not maimed. Put a smile on your face, knowing fully well that He is leading you, and surely you will get there, I mean your promised land.
Submit to God totally. (Prov 3:3-5). Commit your ways to Him, and He will lead you.

AS YOU STEP OUT TODAY, YOU SHALL BE LED ON THE WAY OF DESTINY, YOU SHALL NOT PASS THROUGH THE WAY OF THE AMBUSH OF THE ENEMY IN JESUS NAME.

Prayer: (i) Lord, go before me today as a pillar of cloud to show me the way I should go. (ii) Oh Lord be with me as a pillar of fire by the night to give me light that I can maximize my night unto profiting.

Confession: I am led on the way; I should go today the way of profiting, the Lord is my light and my salvation. Because the Lord goes before me, the enemies on my way flee away from me in terror. That which God has planned for me today will be achieved in Jesus name.
