TravelRe: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by keleto(m): 5:23pm On Aug 05, 2019
Hello seniors, a friend of mine just got Employment Contract from a canadian Employer through an agency. He would be going on a 2 yr visa(work permit)
But there is a statement included in the contract, .....................Can someone help to explain this.......

Please consider this job offer as a commitment
that you will be employed with us on a permanent full-time basis upon receiving your Permanent Resident Status
.

Does it mean he MUST still be with the employer even affter getting permanent residency?
Canada is cold but you can escape it. You dont live outside. Everywhere is heated. Your house car and everywhere you might be going to. It not as bad as we imagine. I have met some old people born in canada they too hate winter. So dont worry you too will survive and may be enjoy it. Besides its seasonal. [/quote.
Thanks]

i lived in the UK for 4 years and i hated cold. used to wear jacket inside my house. i have reactions to cold. back in nigeria i sleep without fan or AC cos i hate cold. uk is rarely minus 2. but guess what i am going to canada soon as my PR is almost due. i have checked out british columbia which has favourable weather, but the place is expensive and depressing. Will have no choice than to go to ontario or alberta. if i wont die you also won't. inside the house there is heater
Thanks man.
Only that one can't stay in other province for at least 3 yrs. If one enters through Manitoba pnp

Good day house, am about registering for my MPNP, One fear keeps coming to my mind, whenever I read of the winter temperature in Manitoba,my mind just keeps beating. I really hate cold weather, but though one can use winter jacket, I still have fear if that would be enough.
Pls can someone contribute to a way forward on this.
Thanks

Will 18months (master programme duration)be enough for someone to learn German to B2 level
@ Deustchemann;@co. pls what do you think
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by keleto(m): 11:26pm On Apr 14, 2019
Deustchemann:
You're welcome to the thread bro.
Thank you for recommending reading previous parts. I'm sure you have the basics at hand now.

As regards your choice of course, you'll definitely do well. As PhilFit has said, do well, learn German to B2, gather experience on internships and God's grace will back you up.

If you like Astrophysics, you can apply for MSc Astrophysics at university of Potsdam. The admission is not restricted and the Application via Uni-assist has been paid for by the school.

Once more, you're welcome. wink

Depends on your state..
Some state would give you straight two years permit..in this case you don't necessarily need blocking again for the second year...while some state would give u just a year permit and to extend your residence you need show proof of fund(some would accept half BA while some would request full BA)
So can the little money a student gets from student job be able to sustain one every month. Without spending from the money in ones block account.
This is to enable to have the same money in the block account for the following year

well' its was like the before but not WES now request for weac result even if you are evaluating your bsc or Msc , other body like ICAS, ICES,IQAS dont request for weac so I'm going to evaluate mine through them ,note wes is more faster than others but a bit high in price compare to others but with wes u can evaluate two or more certificate in all one fee but not so with others
ICAS equally says you can assess more than one cert all in one fee.(correct me if am wrong). That's why I want to go with ICAS. I don't have strength for waec wahala

Hello house.
Instead of passing these waec issues, is it not better to use CES. or ICAS. For the assessment. I learnt they do not require waec assessment, and ICAS fees is 200 dollars.

Any reasons why we must use WES?

Deustchemann:
It's not a must if it's not requested for. But I feel you should normally add it to your application, especially if you're applying for a course related to what you did. It gives more clarity on what you've done and how it can be relevant to what you're applying for.

However, you'll only need to send the abstract and conclusion. No need for the rest.

About your lost project, I want to assume that it's the hard copy you lost.
Try to approach your department and see if you'll be allowed access to the one you submitted to them (of course, you should be allowed access since it's your work). From there, you can make a photocopy of your work and keep the copy.

To prevent issues like this later on, always ensure that you have soft copies of every important document you have. You can do this by scanning them into PDF(Camscanner app can do that for you perfectly), and uploading to Google Drive. It's gonna be there forever cheesy

Success in your application bro.
Thanks great men for the quick response,
I have actually contacted my school in South Africa where i did my degree.(i submitted two hard copies then somhow somhow,) to get one copy back but to no avail; Now i believe i can make do with the soft copy. I thought i would need to submit hard copy

Thanks for the information

Hello everyone.

To my folks that applied to THD for master in Mechatronics...

Note that

1. The cut off is 75%. (I heard in my own time it was much lower and just 350 people from the globe applied and they admitted 100, but not all came through, visa ish and all. But in your set, its 1200+ applicants and they intend admitting just 100).
2. The first batch of admission letters has been sent.
3. Other batches would be sent and wrapped up hopefully this Friday.
4. May the odds be in your favour.

Good luck to those selected
