DoDirtsLikeWorm: On Canadian Thread Only this your ND & HND alone will be accessed as someone with Masters Degree believe. Pls can someone help out on this issue. If someone gets a grant,is it possible for the primary applicant to travel alone and later pick his family like after one year?.. Am asking because of the financial burden going with a whole family member at a time. |

bellong: @Keleto,
EA will assess your HND and OND. It will be equivalent to diploma which is 10 points.
There is no reason to lose 15points because of 5 points. Thanks. Do you advise i go as electrical engineer ,engineering technologist, or electrical engineering technician. |

bellong: February 24, 2017. The below (in quote) was my response to one of your comments. You have been on this same question for close to two years which have been answered over and over. I honestly do not understand what you really want or want people to do.
If you have followed the numerous advice given to you since late 2016/2017, you will still not be asking this same question in November 2018.
You have not shown you actually want to take to any advice. I see no reason why your questions should be answered anymore. Good evening oga belong.Am sorry if my question might have infuriated you. I did ask that question sometime last year, but along the way ,my plan did not work out------it does not really mean am unserious. Why i had to ask the question was that around April this year ,i got an additional btech qualifications, though a one year top up for my HND. Now ,am confused cos if i add it to my assessment document,,my past 12 yrs working experience might be cut off.because i was told your experience counts from your most recent qualification. And also if EA would agree to assess my HND +OND. only. Pls ooo dont be offended |

[quote author=ChinnyBonn post=73545369]Hello everyone!
I really appreciate the great deal on info on this thread. Thanks to all that are making it happen.
I have been invited to apply for 190 visa following NSW nomination so I need a document checklist for 190 application because I don’t want to miss out on any documentation required. If anyone can point me to such, I would really appreciate that.
Also for the Health check / examination, would it be done at IOM, Ikeja or is there another place? And how much would it cost for a family of 4 (i.e. couple with 2 kids)?
Every little info helps. Looking forward to your responses, please. Thanks![/quote
Congrats bro. Did you get up to 70 point before additional 5 point |

DoDirtsLikeWorm: Well...this Special condition has not been there for up to 2weeks.
If you can raise up to 60points; then with state nominaton 70points, enter the pool and they will have no choice if they needed your services. I think WA pattern is tryna posses them.(WA focused more on those that studied in their State) #MyThoughts
Or maybe they are delaying intake until I am ready to apply. I will be coming in with the same 3123 code, I will leave them with no choice. Lol. Ok. thanks |

DoDirtsLikeWorm: I do not know how you came about this information, but i have never seen such from their site since July 1st this year.
Last year? Yes, they needed about 4-5years of experience and it was scrapped.
They updated that list and were showing low availability without much proof. (4+1 invite since July)
My take is that they wants to slow 2018-2019 intake, but you have to fire first. Ok thanks. SPECIAL CONDITIONS APPLY. pls what does this mean?

bellong: If you have a positive assessment already, what is stopping you from applying to the state nominating?
The only way to know if you will be invited is to apply. With 60 points, you should be able to get a 489 or even 190. You can't know until you apply. I have not done the assessment yet. What I mean is base on my calculation,I will be able to get 60 point (with ielts 7,7,7,7) before the extra 10 points |

zanyzara: What are you assessed as? Which occupation do you want to nominate? Is the projected 60 points before or after the 10 extra point from 489? Which region do you want to apply to? Different regions, different requirements.
We need to know the variables before we can advise better.
Have you tried writing PTE too?
Zany. assess as electrical engineering technician(I have HND) 2) i want to nominate electrical or electronic engineerng technician ,3)projected point of 60 is before the extra 10 point 4)NSW. That is the only region available. One other region says I would need 70 ponit before the extra 10 point(SA),ACT is not nominating 5,) I would have tried PTE, but no centre in PH. I wont have the time to keep travelling to Lagos,if I need to write more then once. |

zanyzara: Is your experience related to Electrical Engineering Technician? If yes, check whether you fulfill their requirements as you will likely going to loose some years of experience since your course of study is not related to your experience.
Zany. @Zanyzara. Good evening I studied electrical/electronics engineering., 12 yrs work experience . My point calculation gives me 60 Point(projected English score [7;7;7;7] am really afraid if I can get 8, 8, 8, 8 because all my ielts practices have been given 7 band arose. Do you think I can get a chance for visa 489, base on projected score of 60. If I decided to apply. Pls I need you contribution |

zanyzara: This school tier issue is just a way of rating schools as equivalent to Australian degrees.
A tier 1 school would be rated equivalent to Australian Bachelor degree which is 15 points while a tier 2 would most likely be rated as Associate degree which is 10 points. The duration of courses play a role too.
Accountants need 80points now to have a chance.
Calculate your points and decide.
