As promised, I said I will return to give my landing gist.

We arrived in Canada on June-05-2023.

Litte heads up here:

Every case is unique. We landed and went through Immigration without one question being asked. This does not mean others will not be questioned.

The family size is a spouse, and 3 kids.

Our ONLY undoing which I fought for a better bargain the next day, was that we missed our flight for our last leg because of not creating sufficient time btw arriving in Canada (Immigration checks) to departing to our final destination (home). Our time was just an hour and 20mins. No good enough. I will strongly advise you to give a 3hours window to allow immigration checks. Most times the queues are very long. Trust me, you do not want to miss your flight because it will/may destabilize you.

I missed my flight and the ONLY avaliable flight to my final destination was 8th. I was given accomodation for a night by Air Canada "Free of Charge" for 5th night. I still got to stay in Montreal from 6,7 and leave on the 8th afternoon. It was going to be a very long 72hours for me and my kids.

The next day, I left the hotel for the airport to go and try my luck. I got there and luckily for me, I saw seat for all 4 of us for 6th. I quickly asked the little angel to reschedule my flight for 6th, as I return to the hotel to bring my kids to the airport. To cut long story short, we got back to the airport and boarded the flight and the rest they said, is history.

Lessons learned have been shared. anothe learning from me from one of the front desk Air Canada ladies, was that, we have too many chiefs but few indains. This got me cracking even when I was mad. It was a case of everyone proving they know too much. what they can do to assist or learn, they prove to know it all, and by so doing make people's life miseable.

Hi Keleto,

Good afternoon, has your wife and other kid gotten their PPR now? I got my Study Permit last year and applied for SOWP for my spouse and SP/VV for my 2 kids last month. SOWP has dropped for my spouse but medical still being reviewed for my 2 kids. kindly confirm if you eventually raised a webform and/or how soon the PPR for the other members of your family dropped.

PS: I am still in Nigeria and my course starts Fall 2023, so I'll advise people not to wait till they get to Canada before applying for other family members, God's favour will continue to speak for us all.

U need to first of all, book appointment for passport submission. The appointment will be based on how many passports u r submitting, u will book separate appointment for them
The requirements are:
1) 2 photocopy of ur passport data page,on top of it u will write ur name and email address
2) the biometrics slip u were given on d day of ur biometrics ( the photocopy data page dat a slip was attached with d consent letter u signed dat day)
3) passport request letter
4) ur passport
5) vfs consent letter if u will b needing a courier

Congratulations to your family, for them to approve you kids. Your wife application and the last kid has been approved too, because she is the principal applicant.

Just raise webform tomorrow and send mail for them to update their PPR. Nothing to worry about

I think if you do a upfront medical, it makes a bit faster because of the waiting time to get a spot in IOM or the other. The ONLY benefit of upfront medical is simply to buy time, and nothing more.

As per your strike issue, IRCC in Canada being on strike does not affect those outside of Canada. [/b]Everything is still going on fine outside of Canada. [b]Follow the link below and read "Available IRCC services"

Your 12k CAD is good. Just try do the calculation of what you need as per each person to be able to stay in Canada as stated by IRCC.

I won't win thus argument lol, don't even know y I am dragging this lol, I am currently at work as we speak for an extra shift, my unit is short staff, bonus pay is 700 per shift, yes that's what I said. I have no obligation to prove this, it is just a fact. I picked up 10 shifts extra this past 2 weeks, that's careless 7000 plus my regular rate. That's how u hit the 200k mark. How old is the child?

Children must be 6yrs and above before they are admissible in Canada. If the child is less than 6yrs, then you have to apply for Visit Visa. However, if more than 6yrs, then you have to use your school details for the child as well.

The spouse can apply if he is NOC 0, A or B. The initial post I answered was in a case the person is not working on NOC 0, A or B, like someone working in NOC C, i had suggested the person should first come and then find a another job with NOC 0, A or B. But it becomes tricky and hard if it a closed work permit, changing to NOC 0, A or B so that he can apply for SOWP for the wife.
