Nigeria Football league should consider doing the Northern Conference and the Southern Conference after which the best in each go for play-off.. you know like they do in the NBA Eastern Conference and Western Conference.. this would help reduce travel fatigue and logistics cost for the clubs, and the fans would be able to adequately support their clubs in away games.

You can imagine Kano Pillar going all the way to play Remo Stars in Lagos and vice versa.. in most games, away teams have zero fan supports, aside the officials they came with. This is why there is high home win rate and away losses across all the clubs in Nigeria Leagues.

If we truly want a thriving competition, we have got to find a way to make it easy for the clubs, whilst entertaining the fans and supporters and creating a balanced setting for those that place bet on the teams.. Do you always wonder why you don see Nigerian clubs in livescores chart and betting sites.. this is why. The league is tensed for everyone. It shouldn't be so. It should be an enjoyable venture for all stakeholders.

UEFA should consider introducing a new rule in all European Leagues where anyone that wins early league would get an extra point (on top of the 3 pts) in any subsequent wins they get in their remaining matches. This extra 1 point would be added to them in the new season.

Also those relegated early would get extra -1point for any match they lose, after relegation.

These would help discourage matchfixing Because people clearly just start fixing matches after early winning or early relegation.

A Nigerian man identified as UB Usman narrated on his Facebook page how he lost his wife during Child birth via surgical operation at a General Hospial in Minna Niger State. According to him, the Hospital - Jummai Babangida Aliyu General Hospital - experienced power failure while the operation was ongoing, and all efforts to get the Hospital generator to provide alternative power immediately proved abortive. He claimed that several hours were wasted waiting for power which might have led to the death of his wife.. Read his experience, as related by him, below:

"I had waited for 11hours (8:44am minutes to 7pm) outside theater, optimistically prayering for a successful operation. Sight at my wife was a very devastating experience more devastating our ( my mum and I ) experience inside the word"

The APC-induced hardship is a structural problem, as shown by various statistics. GDP is already at the lowest at $188bn.. for GDP to reach 500 again.. we have to grow at 15% consistently for another 10 years.. but instead we are growing backwards or rather too slowly. Those who brought us here and who should champion these growth selflessly are busy look for another power...

BY August 2022, debt was eating 90% of our revenue. Anyone taking over knew that there was no choice. Nothing to do with IMF and everything to do with lack of money.

Also, we paid subsidies from revenues from oil. Oil revenues are small....no I am not excusing any government. Think about this...Nigeria is 220 million people, and we live on the same amount of oil Libya does...and Libya is 8 million...see the difference

Other countries 1) tax people to pay for energy subsides, 2. ) pay the subsides either to energy companies directly, not the excessive consumption subsides we do and 3) Even when they pay consumption subsides, they pay them to the porrest of the poor.

Tax revenue accounts for less than 20% of government revenues.

Subsides wrecked our refineries...and continue to wreck our power sector. Which investor will come in to take over an industry where only band A are paying at market price, and everyone else is paying below market price? They will lose money, and run into debt. (They also wreck our education and health system , because no profit means no improvements)

The minute fuel subsides went, people suddenly started rushing for refinery licences. Before subsidy removal, it was only Dangote who was able to afford to build a refinery...because if he lost money, they will take over his other assets and use am pay themselves.

As for why no industries...na subsidy way of life that made it easier to afford imported stuff. When the first oil boom happened, a lot of imported stuff flowed in, and for 12 years, government was subsidising them...ESSENCO. We have been import dependent since. When you rely on oil, domestic production suffers.

That is why Venezuela's economic history reflects that of Nigeria. And before you shout 'The West oppressed them'...back in the 1980's ...their economy like ours was in a bad way, and the government then was supportive of the USA. It was those bad times that led to the riots of the 1990's that eventually brought the late CHavez to power, who did what his pro-US and anti-US predecessors did...rely on oil, do no industries.

Industries will come when we stop thinking that as an oil rich country, we can use the mony to import all and sundry. OH and stop sharing money...instead we use what we got to make what the world needs. Any government can open an industry making light bulbs...is it the type the world needs?

But then

A good industrial policy is a win-win for all. The industries are able to access cheap energy, output improves, more employments are created, people earn more meaning more purchasing power and improved standard of living, they are able to buy more and government get more in various taxes.

Taxes shouldn't come first in the this cycle. Those highly industrialised nations got cheap energy subsidies in their early periods. This allows them to cheap the stability they now enjoy hence easy for them to tax their citizens. A good example of such is Germany with a very high percentage of various taxes. People pay between 14% to 42% in income taxes depending on how much you earn while they also protect the low income earners with tax exemption, but those taxes didn't start that way, and you could see clearly what the government does with your taxes.

This actually makes alot of sense.. it ultimately helps to devolve Development instead of overfocusing on Abuja.

South Africa used the same strategy.. with about three different capitals around the country in J'burg, Pretoria and Cape Town all developing side by side..
