Language - One thing I certainly would want is for the African nation to adopt it own official language. I don't care what African language it is, there should be one official language identifying us as a nation/race.

Very very true! My mum always says this to me. Cosa of this particular point I was almost referred to an anti-hypertension clinic barely 2months after my marriage.

I understand how it feels like... I hope you've learnt from your experience not to expect so much, by doing that we end up creating heartbreaks for ourselves. Life's too short to be anything but HAPPY!

Yeah, taking care of yourself doesn't have to go overboard and most guys do that. Trim fingernails, have their haircut regularly and dress modestly.

Nobody's telling you to be fake! Just take care of your look. Actually, you don't have to spend 20mins doing that. Some guys don't know when to visit the barbers shop you just have to remind them, you see them walking around with bushy hair and dirty boxers.

Living alone as a single lady is perceived wrong in the Yoruba culture except in some few exceptional/uncommon cases (when a situation calls for it, ofcourse the parents have to be very understanding to consider that). Like in a situation where you are been offered a job very far away from where your parents stays, and you are left with no other option than to get an accommodation close to your workplace, they'd probably support your decision on the ground that you'd have to be visiting them from time to time and also be prepared for their unannounced visits.

This is stupidity believing the whole of Africa to be a country? I do know they know just little about the African continent but what I didn't know is how high to the moon their level of ignorance could get.
