BusinessRe: How To Make $1,000/month Writing And Researching Online by ken4jj(m): 8:32am On Jul 12, 2015
Hi gurus,

I am new to freelancer. I am writing articles for someone. I have already written about 20 and it continues. despite completing and delivering each set milestone,he has not given me any review. My question is : Are reviews given at the end of that particular project? If i will have to write over 200 articles in the next 2 months , will i have to wait till then to get reviews? Can i ask for reviews for each milestone job completed or wait till all the job is declared complete. I'm confused because despite all i have written, my profile still shows 0% completed and no reviews. Note, he has been releasing the money as each set of milestone is delivered.
Please i need clarification from experts.
Thanks

I use semi synthetic bro. But next oil change I am going full synthetic and will squeeze 6k miles or one yr. Thanks bro.
What happens to your oil filter? will you use for the duration or will you change it alone?
Car TalkRe: Engine Oil Wahala, Plz Advice by ken4jj(op): 10:42am On Jun 09, 2015

Castrol 5w30 synthetic blend would certainly go 6,000 miles. 2,500km is just about 1,550 miles which is nothing. I don't know what kind of car u drive but I have never seen a modern car where manufacturers recommend oil change every 3 months, I may be wrong though. Changing a synthetic oil every 3 months is a RIP OFF. I'd rather use conventional oil then. I use 5w20 on my car and change at about 4,500 miles (that's about 7,000km). Manufacturers reccomend 6,000 miles but I change at 4,500 miles just to be on a safer side. Driving conditions here with all the dust and traffic doesn't help.
My only worry is the oil filter cos i don't know how original it is. maybe i should just change only the oil filter and get another 1000miles on the oil. What do you think?

Get to 6000 miles before draining your oil. I want to belive the oil you bought is synthetic? I use synthetic for 1year in my vehicle if it has not reached the 6000mile mark
i think it is semi synthetic. it is castrol 5w30 oil.

Is 5w30 a synthethic or semi synthectic oil? What actually is the difference in the two types of oil? Please what of milemaster 5w30?

the clause it that u change ur oil whichever of the condition that u first exceed ,either the 3 month or the 6000 km mileage .
so your oil is due for change since u have exceeded the 3 month mileage.
U can always place online order 5 litres 5w30 Coastal synthetic blend and 7 litre 5w30 Lubex synthetic oil @ autologic from konga.com website @ 5,500 and 7,500 naira respectively
Delivery @ any location even to ur doorsteps @ location in nigeria.
call autologic @ 08061166316 for more info
Thanks, is the oil imported or manufactured in Nigeria?

Car gurus,

I have a car that the manual says change oil after 6000km or 3 months. I have used this car for 4 months but i have still not gotten to even 3000km. its still at 2500km. The oil i'm using is the recommended 5w30 oil i got from the US.

Should i keep using the car till i get to at least 3500km since the oil is original? Because i dont drive it everyday, it make even take till december to reach 3500km. Please i need advice.

Where can i get 5w30 grade oil in portharcourt and its environs?

It is so much easier to sit and criticize, before Jonathan became president he must have criticized previous government. APC is currently doing same, lets wait and see what they will do differently.

What did Jonathan do to corrupt oil marketers? Capital oil was shut down in 2012, a group of people are so fierce that they can bring this country to her kneels, people even the president needs to appease.

The Government is currently spending an estimated N1.4 Billion daily to subsidize petroleum product, where is that money going to come from?
I dont give a damn about APC cos naija politicians are crap. You say we should applaud this administration cos they problem is not solvable. On a second thought, i blame we nigerians cos greed is in our DNA, that is why nothing works here.

kenny987:
Actually, it is not a curse, it is our mentality towards it that makes it appear like that. If our leaders and all stakeholders had done the proper thing from day one rather than see it as free lunch, we would not be where we are today. Oil should have been an easy way of making Nigeria great but if we see it as a curse, it is like saying cars are also curses because people have accidents in or with them all the time. Do u then stop the production and use of cars or apply measures to ensure proper usage/maintenance, good roads, that drivers don't operate them under the influence of intoxicating substances, speed limits are followed and so on?

The right attitude is to employ the resources in the right way. Why achieve something the hard way when there is an easy way to achieve same and even greater? It is only unfortunate and in fact criminal, that our leaders from the time of discovery till date saw it as a license for laziness, when for instance, one said there is so much money that there don't know what to so with it... You see that the oil and money from it is not bad, it is the attitude of the handlers and greed that has brought us to this point. It is a blessing only misused!

Exploring other sources of resource generation is absolutely necessary and must be pursued vigorously but that does not make oil discovery a curse. Will the revenue earned from other sources be different in effect from that earned from oil if used judiciously? 100 Naira is 100 Naira no matter the source, the important thing is the use of such revenue. If other sources are developed and revenue is again mismanaged and diverted into private pockets, we remain where we are or even worse.
I think you are right. it is not a curse in the real sense but a "curse" because of who we are as a people.

Nigeria's problem is that we are not using our numerous mineral and material resources to fuel an industrial revolution...rather...we sell and sell...and share the money...and thus become dependent on another man's money....to the extent that when prices crash, we are broke.

Nigeria needs freedom from resource dependency. Nigeria needs industrial development. Oil is not a blessing.
Keep saying it. Oil is a curse to this country. But will our greedy government and her citizens allow for a genuine structural development? They answer is no. I hate to say this , in 2019 we will still be in this kind of situation , i just hope i will be wrong . The structure of this country is faulty, will they politicians and citizens allow for a re-structuring to usher in real development? greed will never allow them. The cycle continues.

My Brother don't say what u don't know.

Let me start by saying that I have no confidence in any Nigerian political office holder, and that is why I don't own a voters card and I have never voted.

That been said, I had a very rare opportunity of talking one on one with a major player in this country and it was an eye opener, Nigerians were told that oil marketers are holding the country to a ransom and nobody believed, weeks later we are on a long queue trying to buy fuel, Buhari has said he doesn't know what fuel subsidy is, he his about to find out.

The Jonathan administration has been labeled very corrupt and wastage in excess, has anyone ever wondered where is the money going? A huge junk is spent on oil subsidy to prevent long queues has we have it now, when he tried to remove subsidy because of the amount of money put into it, Nigerians cried foul. A lot of things are falling apart and the government had to keep pumping in money to hold things together.

Now that the man is leaving and is taking his hands off things, Nigerians can now see how everything has come crumbling, yes he his still the president till 29th, but by that time how much more Billion dollars would have been used to maintain marketers? Then he would have been accused of last minute looting.

Nigeria is a very complex society, I am patiently waiting for what the next administration has to offer.
My friend quit this stupid defence. if Nigeria was a private establishment and GEJ is the CEO answering to the shareholders, would he have run this country like this? Wouldnt he be ruthless on this guys to keep his job? how many of those subsidy thieves are in jail? The problem is not just subsidy, it is corruption and ubtil the govt stands up and forcefully deal decisively with the corruption in the oil sector, we wont make any head way.But unfortunately, the govt is part of the scam. Even if you remove subsidy, what makes you think that this guys can not form a cartel, import fuel and still fix ridiculous prices on nigerians. Is diesel not deregulated? is govt paying subsidy for diesel? why is it still scare and expensive to the extent of shutting down the nations economy? You guys should know the head will always take the blame when things go wrong. that is leadership and not blaming someone else. If any member of your team is messing you up, sacrifice him else you will be sacrificed.

Yorubas and ibos are the same. That is why it pains me seeing hypocrisy on both sides. Somebody will say they do not speak for the yorubas, i now ask, those stupid ibos who defend criminality , do they speak for the ibos? You see, the earlier we know that no tribe is superior to the other and shun tribalism , they better for all of us else we will all keep fooling ourselves.

The truth they say is bitter. I love that post about black man having a genetic problem of running a civilised world. look at Africa as a whole and you will agree with that anonymous comment
Exactly, this is what i have been saying. There is a fundamental problem with the black man. Show me that black dominated nation that can stand shoulder to shoulder with the so called third world countries in europe and asia. Each time i travel and walk in the streets of Europe, i get bitter not because i dont appreciate good things but because i keep wondering how my country Nigeria cannot even give her citizens common basic amenities that are taken for granted even in third world European country like Romania.

Blacks are just too greedy for my liking, tufiakwaa. Now our politicians are all millionaires and billionaires with houses and investments all over the world but their homeland is poo, no shame yet the gallivant around with their ill gotten wealth. They travel abroad like it is VI to lekki yet they cannot replicate half of what they see over there.

most times i wonder how these our so called leaders feel when they are with their counterparts abroad. Now they have announced to us how they will go on vacation abroad after may 29. i ask, how many other government official abroad come to nigeria to buy houses and have vacation? Low self esteem at its peak.

To tell that there is something wrong with the black race, instead of the citizens to fight the government and hold them accountable, they will still be the ones doing the defence of the government by fighting each other instead of they common enemy. I dont know how a battered nigerian youth will be fighting for a politican, is this not a height of stupidity? We deserve all the insult we get as a nation and i wish the Europeans and Americans will bar all Nigerian politicians from stepping into their country. They are very useless to us as citizens.

PDP and APC supporters on this forum are the most foollish people i have ever seen in this world. What are you guys fighting for?

You people should be ashamed that you are parading useless candidates on the ballot box. I have never seen an election anywhere else in the world with this kind of poor quality of contestants.

if Nigeria were to be a normal country, those two unfit baggas you guys are fighting for should be lanquishing in jail instead of assulting our sensibilities with thier stupid posters calling themselves presidential candidates. nonsense

Good thinking.
Agriculture is the easiest. Skill is easy to acquire. Returns are ok, ceteris paribus.
Since you are an engineer. A workshop may be good in an industrial environment. I know some people who are making it in that field. Initial outlay on lathe/ drilling/ facing/ machines and tools as well as a capable generator may be a little high though.
I would advise that you make sure that you are set up and making profit before you resign from work.
Thanks for your advice. The problem is setting up something while working will be difficult cos of time.

Hi guys. i have an issue and i need some advice. plz read. i am an engineer with a multinational manufacturing company. i have worked for 5 years in 2 different multinational manufacturing companies. My problem is that i am not enjoying my job. I work mondays to sundays , so stresful and pressure here n there. It is so bad that i dont have a social life anymore cos i dont have the time. After all the effort one puts on this job, they still call for ya head when there is a mistake. Pleasing these boses becomes a pain in the ass

All this while , i have been envying people who do business no matter how small and i always wish i could be like them. Guys, i earn over 300k yet i dont have peace of mind, rest and hapiness cos of this job. it is so bad that i feel bad when my morning alarm rings. i changed job thinking it would be better ,unfortunately it is even worse. Its done on me that there is no job satisfaction in this environment.

Now,having lived this kind of working life for 5 years without satisfaction, i want to quit to start my own business. i have always wanted to bt leaving a guaranteed 300k plus every month is pulling me back. Now i have decided to go solo. i want to go and learn a skill and build my business around it. i am still thinking of which biz to go into. one thing is sure. I'll prefer to put in this energy i'm currently putting in another man's work into my own biz even if it means making less that what i get now. At least i be my own boss and not trying to please inconsiderate bosses.

Guys, i need your advice on this issue.

Most people dont realize that Fashola is as corrupt as GEJ and other politicians. Most people are blinded by the APC,PDP allegiance. ThankGod i am a neutral Nigerian. To hell with PDP and APC, they are united in coruption and lack of vision. If you pro Fashola like, keep defending Fashola because he is a saint instead of holding him accountable, you are the ones that will suffer the consequence without you knowing. Gullible Nigerians.
