Can any thing good come out of Islam?

There are no moderate muslims, whoever invented that word "Moderate muslims" should be in Jail.
The so called moderates are the ones who come to defend the atrocious nature of the religion. Imagine someone bringing in what Hiltler did in 1930's as a basis of defense to what his terrorist brothers are doing in 2016. The world would have clearly been a better place without this mistake of a religion.

What some people don't understand is that if this allegations are true about Aisha Buhari, the US Justice department would have demanded that she be extradicted to the US to face justice.
By the way this has been going on since 2009, why can't the various past governments of OBJ, Yar'adua and GEJ do something about this case?
Also if this is true, the PDP party would have used this case during the 2015 election against PMB and the APC party.

The US has held their own person accountable and it is left for Nigeria to emulate the US and punish the culprits on our side. This involves some top guys and the past administrations were not interested in the case cos of corruption and this is why i'm disappointed in PMB. Except he is directly or indirectly involved in the racket, i don't understand why he shouldn't be interested in this case especially since it has refused to die down and his wife is always mentioned. This is where i expect him to show his anti corruption credentials because of the high profile nature of this case, prosecuting it will show how serious he is in not tolerating corruption.
One thing about these guys is that they would not want to investigate something when they know their own hands are not clean in the matter for fear of implicating themselves.

William Jefferson Appeal: Supreme Court Rejects Hearing Challenge From Former Congressman
Nov 26, 2012 | Updated Jan 26, 2013

(Adds background)

WASHINGTON, Nov 26 (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday refused to hear the appeal of former Louisiana congressman William Jefferson, who had challenged his 2009 conviction on multiple charges of bribery and money laundering.

In March, the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Virginia, had upheld 10 of 11 guilty counts against the former Democratic lawmaker.

A federal jury had found Jefferson guilty of soliciting bribes, money laundering and participation in a racketeering scheme. He was sentenced to 13 years in prison but remained free while pursuing an appeal.

Prosecutors accused him of soliciting millions of dollars in bribes from companies while using his office to broker ventures such as telecommunications transactions in Ghana and Nigeria, oil concessions in Equatorial Guinea, investments in a Nigerian sugar plant and satellite transmission contracts in Botswana, Equatorial Guinea the Republic of Congo. (Reporting by Jonathan Stempel; Editing by Howard Goller and Bill Trott).

No No No, it seems i didn't get your point. I was talking about the Nigerian side and not the American side. What i was asking when you said case have been concluded is that has a Nigerian been held accountable?, if so, who is he/she? what punishment and when did it happen? I know about the American side.

Waoo!!! That means i am not current. Who was indicted? what was the punishment to the person/people? and when did this happen?

Ok,two things for this quack that parades himself as an Attorney:

1. William Jefferson's case had nothing to do with Halliburton but everything to do with BRIBERY involving Mr.Aboubakr Atiku.

2.Rep. Jefferson did appeal his sentence--ALL THE WAY TO THE SUPREME COURT-- but failed to have his case reversed/overturned; something this mo*ron of a lawyer could've easily confirmed if he wasn't so ineffective.

Boy o' boy, I can't wait to see the end of Gov.Fayose's antics if these are the kind of dolts he's hoping to defend him when law enforcement comes calling at the end of his tenure.

You guys are taking this personal and i don't understand why. PMB can end this brouhaha is he wants to and it is simple. Launch a whole scale investigation into this issue and fish out the culprits. You mentioned Atiku, if Jefferson is in Jail, what is Atiku doing in the corridors of power here in Nigeria? or is he above the fight against corruption? This is not just about Aisha, but our sincerity in fighting corruption as a whole. But except there is something to hide, PMB can keep turning a blind eye to this issue.

Really? Methinks she's as guilty as sin....or has a huge disdain for Nigerians

I would want to give her the benefit of the doubt that she is innocent. Whether she is involved or not is not really my problem But the issue is why is PMB not interested in probing this case being the only anti corruption leader we have? Even if Aisha is innocent, there are others involved and needs to be punished too, why is he keeping mute? This case has been begging for attention since some months now and i expect PMB if he truly is sincere to unleash probe immediately but unfortunately it seems there is more to this case and that is why he is silent.

The problem with this administration is that they do not know how to kill issues once and for all. They keep messing up their non existent reputation over little issues. While i believe that Aisha Buhari is innocent, the best way to exonerate her is to launch an independent probe on the Halliburton scandal after all there are other indicted names who are moving in and out of Aso rock. What is difficult in probing this particular scandal?
The probe will set the record straight and punish others involved. If not for any other thing,we would have been seen in the eyes of the world that we are serious about fighting corruption, remember the Americans have punished their own. What else is Buhari waiting for? Is he comfortable that his wife and some of his associates are being mentioned because of this scandal or is he trying to protect something?

Abeg make Political correctness no kill people like Joe. First of all, why are people interested in who hates the president or who doesn't? How does it add food to anyone's table. How has the ibo hatred and bigotry stopped the president from performing? Must everybody love the president, where does that happen?

If the ibos have not moved on,i expected to be seeing anti Buhari protests in the east or igbo formed militias causing problems here and there. Even the iPOB are not even carrying arms so how are they stopping PMB from changing Nigeria? Before iPOB,there was MASSOB and they suffered several losses and their leader was in and out of prison, was it not in the last administration? So what is the brouhaha about IPOB?

Hatred for a leader CANNOT stop any leader from doing his job, in fact, it is even to the advantage of the leader. If we enter the filling station and fuel is now sold for N50, kerosine N30 and we enter the market, bag of rice is now N5,000, who takes the glory? This idiots should help PMB to succeed by advising him on how to get things done and not looking for who love or hate him, the rant is unnecessary.

Does it mean that there are no other ibos apart from Joe that supports the president? If so, is it Joe and his family alone that attended the Buhari rally in the east during election or was Buhari booed or stoned then? Okay, maybe, every single yourba love Buhari

That you saw comments with ibo names, you now genralize abi? Does Joe know that anybody can adopt any identity online. In Nairaland for example, so many people disguise with some ethnic names to cause tribal wars.
This issue of looking for people who love or hate PMB should be stopped, it is not our business. Instead they should channel thier political correctness to help PMB succeed so that haters would eat thier words.
Since Joe is the only ibo man who loves the President and no other person from other tribe hates the president, i hereby sentence him to live in Daura. But Joe watch it, for the fact that you are always trying to romance with other tribes will not stop Tinubu and his APC men from kicking your ass if you ever make a wrong step.

Our laws are just bullshit. Sometimes one wonders if people who draft this laws are learned. The laws lack common sense.
How can you declare someone who has not tested his popularity among the people as governor? Do they think that everybody belongs to a political party? Some people vote based on individual and not party. Rochas despite being in APC won because as at that time he was still trusted and loved but APC would have failed if they fielded any other person than Rochas.

The best judgement in this situation would have been to declare Alex Otti as governor since he was voted for or rerun the election with Uche Ogar as flag bearer of the PDP and let him test his popularity. If democracy is the will of the people and by the people, then nobody should get to office through the backdoor. All elected people must pass through the popularity and acceptance test else it is no longer democracy. The role of the court should not be to impose someone in the guise of "rule of law" but to ensure that they will of the people prevail and there is no way to know that except through the ballot box.

The choice of the people is important because it could be the difference peace and violence. for example, PMB still has the support of many because he is the choice of many and many are willing to endure and give him a chance. Imagine if PMB became president from the backdoor and things are getting this bad, don't you think there would have been anarchy in the land?

We just need to amend this laws so that the reflect common sense, it would do us a whole lot of good.

Been following this discuss and I am only replying you because you sound reasonable and you mentioned strengthening our institutions something I am really passionate about. Now, to the issue at hand. You are saying PMB should 'come out straight' and do what? Say he has his certificate with him? Because he doesn't. Buhari does not HAVE his WASC Certificate, he 'lost' it, long away and he swore an affidavit to this end. I am sorry I can't explain how he said he lost it now as it is a long story. However, the case against him in the court of law that he HAD to employ an itinerary of legal counsel is about his QUALIFICATION to contest the presidency vis a vis his academic qualification (WASC Certificate). A constitutional matter, but if you see the Nigerian Constitution, it does not say WASSCE or BsC or PhD is actually required, in fact a primary school certificate will suffice, WASC Certificate will also suffice or its equivalent. You will agree with me that Buhari more than fulfils all these requirement and the case against him makes no sense in actual fact. The case is not Show Me Your Certificate but you are not qualified to run for presidency.

PS: The Statement of result was produced by his sec school. And a result sheet showing his result and others that took the exams with him. Buhari owes no one any other explanation or evidences as he has satisfied INEC Requirements even before that SOR was released in fact since 2003.

I got talking with a guy from Tanzania on the sidelines of a program i attended in Amsterdam recently and he said that he heard that our president does not have a school certificate. At first,i was shocked but i now remembered that the world is now a global village. I did my best to counter him that it was not true bla bla bla..... but it was a shame that we were even talking about it in the first place.
Why i'm critical on PMB is because of the supposed "integrity" he carries. Believe me, if it were any other politician whether PDP or APC, i wouldn't waste my saliva talking about it because i have given upon them in advance.
This is a serious and simple matter. If his certificate is lost as you claim, then write to the body in charge and get another one issued or let the exam body attest to Nigerians that he sat for the exam and clarify the issue. It goes beyond swearing affidavit.
The office of the president should not be seen debating this issue, it is shameful. Obama had to show everyone his birth certificate when the accusation was made, he didn't wave it aside.
Trust is important in governance and it is earned and not just given on a platter of gold. After all people whose house were burnt and their certificate burnt get a new one once their record is with the exam body. Though nothing will happen even if he lied to have sat for the exam but for the sake of his integrity which is now in doubt, he has the duty to clear this issue to Nigerians else he is just like any other politician who are fraudulent and believe me it is not good for our image outside.

Omonigeriarere:

This is because of your 'super ignorance' in that no constitution stipulates SSCE Certificate as the major requirement. In other words, PMB has nothing to defend, and the IPOB Lawyer knows this.

For your information, PMB has nothing to defend because “Under section 318 of the 1999 Constitution, the word “school certificate” or its equivalent means:

(a) Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent or Grade II Teachers Certificate, the City and Guilds Certificate; or

(b) Education up to Secondary school level; or

(c) Primary Six Leaving Certificate or its equivalent plus

(i) Service in the public or private sector at the federal level in any capacity acceptable to the Independent National Electoral Commission for a minimum of 10 years and

(ii) Attendance at course and training in such institutions as may be acceptable to the Independent National Electoral Commission for periods totaling up to a minimum of one year; and

(iii) The ability to read, write and understand and communicate in the English language to the satisfaction of the commission.

From here, some facts become apparent: -

1.Buhari is a General with many international trainings (ask your friends what it means to be a General in military)

2. He has served as Past President of FRN

3. He has worked as a civil servant for nothing less than ten years before his retirement as stipulated above

4. He has primary school Certificate.

5. He can read, write and communicate( though not fluent)

Bros! Where was it stipulated in the constitution that he must necessarily present his WAEC Certificate?

It is not about whether he can read or write, international trainings etc. It is about whether he lied under oath that he has a WASSCE certificate or not. Since he claims he has the certificate, the onus is on him to present it or tell the truth that he does not possess it. simple.

Whether he withdrew the case or not is not the issue after all no judge will have the courage to rule against PMB. But one thing is sure, PMB is never a man of integrity as some of us thought. He is as criminally minded as other politicians. He still has the opportunity to clear all doubts on this and come out straight.
At the end of the day, Nigeria loses because our institutions are weak and easily manipulated by the powerful. Maybe the next president after PMB will take a clue and do even worse and nothing will happen.

So people should just allow the 74yrs man to be abeg. Even the so called graduate went there was busy sharing money up and down. They would bring money meant for project in an open hilux during an election and be sharing just to buy a cultist/wrong candidates into power. That was even affecting our institutions as sorting became rampant. Imagine the current issue with post UTME which most of you people will benefit. School authority were using it to drain our parents with the little they have before you get admission but MB has risen to stop it which the so called graduate couldn't. Buhari who was a class prefect in his class at 60s and even went school abroad which most of you today even with 2.1 can not go till you die. Mine is that Nigerians like it or not corruption would stop no matter the antics. I rest my case

The way most of you take it personal to defend politicians with so much emotion, energy and passion makes me wonder if there is actually more to this. I doubt if the politicians biological children will even have this kind of time to defend their parents. In fact, they way things are going, some of you may even kill your own blood over a disagreement with your adored politician.
Anyway, it is your right joor. Since you are close to PMB, tell him that he is bigger than this controversy. The whole issue is too simple.Present his certificate and shame the enemies of progress. He doesn't need SANS to do that.

For the fact that the useless PDP did not probe the matter should not in any way render it invalid. The Americans have convicted the culprit on their side and we are pampering our own. People like you are why i don't blame Donald Trump when he talks shit about us.

This govt might be doing things wrong, but the way it's been blown out of proportion gives neutrals like me a cause for worries... When criticism isn't constructive then it's just a calculated attempt to smear the person of buhari n his govt.. Take for example d Issue of Aisha buhari, Fayose accused her nd said if she's innocent she should travel to d US. Sahara reporters did their investigation and concluded tht the Aisha Buhari is an imposter of the wife of president Buhari, those blowing Tht issue out of proportion still refused to let go, now she has decided to travel to d US...same pips have turned around ND said she is going to use a diplomatic passport!?..... What's that!??..... Didn't they know she could use a diplomatic passport all along!?...... Bfre accusing her n asking her to prove her innocence by going to d US..... It is occurrences Tht mkes me feel pips r blowing things out of proportion.............

The problem is that this govt is not showing sincerity at all. Trust, respect and integrity is earned and not by mouth. I believe Aisha is innocent but the best way to kill this off would have been to launch a serious probe. Atiku and others are mentioned and they are still walking free and having a voice in this country. What is PMB waiting for? The US has jailed its own citizen involved while ours are still working free.
I expected that things will get different in this regime but it still follows those pattern of "catch other thieves and turn a blind eye to our own thieves" PMB need to prove that he has integrity by killing off issues that indirectly question his integrity and that includes coming clean on his certificate. Otherwise he is just like other useless past and present politicians.

Shut up. it is not because you are not sentimental, it is beacause Fayose is like an outcast being an anti PMB and PDP. I just pity Nigerians without a 2nd passport especially those ones that lick politicians smelly asses.
