Dancebreaker:

Asaba even more so. Even though people like to see Asaba as probably the most Igbo leaning Anioma clan today, by mid-19th century, Asaba was documented as an Edo town with Igbo people increasingly coming from across the Niger. It was already predicted in one such writing by a well-known Yoruba historian that Igbo would soon dominate the population of Asaba. He was right as we can see today.

So you feel there were no boats to cross the River Niger before 19th century. Asaba has always been an Igbo town. Don’t say nonsense

LOL

I like how the names magically turned from Edo to Igbo. You guys play too much on this site. You guys think history started in the 16th century. You speak jargons in well scripted English and think you are speaking the truth. Isi-Ile- kill you there

It’s always the ordinary people that suffers during war. This dam would have provided much needed electricity for ordinary Nigeriens who need to to be productive. Even we sef wey Dey naija would have benefited because Niger no go Dey share the small one wey we Dey generate again.
Majority of the Northerners and Old Easterners want peace not war.

Politics / OPINION : Niger’s New Leadership’s Respect For Traditional Institutions by KenechukwuEdu: 12:11pm On Aug 10, 2023
I came across a photograph of the new Nigerien Leader with the former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido.
His posture and general aura shows he is a humble man who has respect for his tradition and culture. I hope that ECOWAS can allow their sister nation break free from the bondage of France.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?
