BusinessRe: Ijoyaa.com A New Form Of Scam Or What? by kenflipper(op): 6:57am On Aug 17, 2008
Dont mind them, they wanna twist fraud hoping we wont notice. Fraud is Fraud and can be recognise by the following:
1. If its too good to be true, it probably isnt true.
2. Promises of huge returns in a short while without detailed disclosure of how the profit will be made by the firm
3. Requesting or promising payment in Dollars when our local currency is Naira. I was wondering if Naira was stronger than dollar would they request or promise payment in dollars? so definitely there is a motive!
Even Nigerian banks who get direct allocation of dollars from CBN wont give out dollars. Even when required for investment they prefer to trade in Naira equivalent of dollars that way they earn interest from conversion.

Like i said earlier, i know of someone who just got paid her promised returns last week, she introduced my friend who start bugging me for funds. This guys are smart to the blind. They know that making first payment their blind clients will go GAGA, Yeah considering the kind of country Nigeria is! the foolish lady after receiving her returns instead of her to go for thanksgiving in the church, she reinvested it instantly for another mouth watering return, tho' i wasnt there i knew it via word of mouth from my friend. The logic is simple virtually everyone paid will reinvest cos at the point of payment they turn from doubtful belivers to full believers. Without knowing they were never paid, but only flashed. Its a pattern of design i call flash the money and take back the cake.

Dr Kitan@
After reading your junk i couldnt help but laugh uncontrollably, i knew you where gonna flip-flop . Your replies were wacked!, I wish people going to ijoyaa would have the opportunity of reading this blog before encountering you and your cronies.
You guys dont know anything about internet business!!! it was the internet business u claimed to be involved in, that raised the red flag when i first visited the site.
I hope you know that advertisizing online is by far cheaper than conventional tele. I was suprise by the cost of your adverts. And yet you havent attained a traffic of 1,000 visitors a day!!!, that means you and ur cronies dont know anything about online business. Nairaland with almost 300,000 members won't cost a quater of that. You and ur cronies opened the business to clientele even when u knew ur site wasnt completely developed with all activities and infos, thats poor reasoning.
Your telling me online business arent insured and have no physical assets? are u kidding me? how myopic!, All internet business started physically before going online. And depending on the kinding of business especially when it borders on money doubling financial, it should be insured, to attain credible standard. Only online scam business are invisible without physical assets or insurance. Using life as a risk on its own to get the better of unsuspecting public, how MEAN? do u know the amount in dollars you posted as return to ur clients?, that also raised the red flag.
You cant chicken anyone here, that ur business is duly registered doesnt give you the leverage to claim credibility we are all naijas. Registering a company in Nigeria is between N25k to 65K depending if its an enterprise or a limited liability company and without the services of a the lawyer , so does that make it ok for clients to invest with u?, If your intention is to build traffic on ur website talk to seun and let him tell you how he built a traffic of almost 300,000 members and leave innocent gullible nigerians alone.
Last i checked Tianshie is a chinese firm with headquaters in china (i could be wrong) if so how could you tell if they arent insured in china? plus they sell a certain product and not words and their telemarketing if i can remember its not based on cash deposit and circles with huge returns as promises. What physical product do u give to ur client when they deposit their money??, YEAH RIGHT! you tell them they are buying circles. I'll take it you are not doing anything illegal and that means ur honesty, but i got to do what i got to do. That is to inform the right authorities via mail of which i will copy the replies you posted here, its not a smear just a backgroucnd check. I intend to invest with you through my friend but! only after the authorities have given u a pass on the background check.

Me too i like to double my money but i no want make e disappear in d process. But!, if u pay me first time no mean say i go come back oh! i go run go give thanks giving and pray to GOD for forgiveness for taking such risk in the first place.
Have a nice one and thank for answering the questions.
BusinessRe: Ijoyaa.com A New Form Of Scam Or What? by kenflipper(op): 7:10am On Aug 12, 2008
@Dr kitaun in the mid nineties alot of investment firms poped up!, they were duly registered claimed to be subsidiaries of other bigger firms overseas and at the end of the day people lost huge amounts. Wonderbanks also poped up with enticing returns but yet they faded out as they came in. your explanation didnt resonate with me, i'm not doubting the fact that people are receiving profit. tho!, i m in the states i keep close ties with nigeria so, i m well informed. Infact i just learnt today that a client was paid 75k from a deposit of 17k after 3months and networking 2 or more clients, it doesnt sound right to me. Plus we all know how these wonder banks and investment firms work, they start by paying so much profit on little investment from client as soon as they lure a sizeable number of clients they go under-ground. Your terms & condition was sculptured to protect (Ijoyaa) and leave the clients at their own risk. My issue is that for now it looks too good to be true even tho' it sounds true, who knows what the future holds? say a 6months to 2years from now! cos those who get paid by ijoyaa will be tempted to reinvest their payments hoping to quadrapple their interest.
I'd like to know the following:,
1. How old is ijoyaa?
2. Is ijoyaa insured?, if so what insurance firm, is it open to verification?
3. Who regulates the financial activities of ijoyaa??
4. what physical assets does ijoyaa have, that can be liquidated in case of bankruptcy.
5. could you unambiguously state all business ijoyaa is into?,
6. What is the capital base of ijoyaa.
7. Are clients aware of the degree of risk they are taking when they venture into ijoyaa's office? or do the make blind investments with ijoyaa.
I m not here to smare names i just want facts so as to protect friends and families from financial traps and that ijoyaa isnt another form of a wonder bank in disguise but a credible business outfit. If i was in Nigeria i would walk into the office at ikeja with my loaded questions and if i dont get a satisfactory answer i would draw my conclusional boundary.
cos' my friend didnt even know u guys had terms & conditions yet she has being to ur office on several occasions, all she knew was that the funds tripples and quadrapples after networking other clients for ijoyaa.
These are information that should be on your website to enable people understand better and make a smart choice. Also your front page should warn applicants to read and understand the firm's terms and conditions before proceeding. And for those who work into ijoyaa's office a copy of ijoyaa's terms and conditions should be handed over to them to read before venturing blindly.

BusinessIjoyaa.com A New Form Of Scam Or What? by kenflipper(op): 10:39pm On Aug 11, 2008
Recently a friend of mine called me from Nigeria and requested to borrow some money, she was so confident of paying me back in a short while that i became suspictious after pressing her she informed me that she wanted to invest it in a firm called ijoyaa, located at ikeja i inquired from her if they had a website and she promptly gave it to me on the phone. Since i was near by a laptop i pressed the keyboard and presto!.http://www.ijoyaa.com , http://www.ijoyaa.com/opportunity.aspx
At first i couldnt picture out the kind of business these guys were into but i knew it was a scam, tho i couldnt verify it 100% i thought i share it here, have you had dealings with these people, what can we do to stop innocent people from loosing their hard earn money?. According to the websites they claim to be into adverts and selling of circle, heck i dont know wht they mean by that, but wht i know is that with the huge return they promise if they arent into drugs it would be virtually impossible to meet up with such return, could it be another form of a wonder bank??, pls help out.
Their terms and conditions on the website sounded cocky when i read it, and most people dont even go thro' the terms they are lured by the promised return which might never come in. Worst of all why would a business based in Nigeria dealing with a people whose currency is naira transact its business in dollars if its not to lure them in with hard currency.

It would cost N50,000 naira one time payment for installation, and you dont have to pay anything else, no yearly fees as most firms who are into tracking device would request. All you need is to ensure that your car battery is always intact. That way once your car is stolen, you can track it and hear whatever conversation the criminals might be making while driving it.

Sorry to hear ur experience its fustrating, however knowing the kind of police force in nigeria you should have showed restraint and followed him to the station without questions on gettin to the station since there was nothing incriminating on u, you should have held your ground and not given a dime out. The best way to deal with Nigerian police man is to have enough time for them. Among the lot in the station, one of their own would be fair to you and speakout in your favor.

BusinessRe: How Can We Combat Fraud In Nigeria? by kenflipper(m): 4:31am On Jul 28, 2008
If given the opportunity, i can draft out a plan for the govt and policing agencies to combact crime to a standstill here are some steps.

1. Create a citizenship data base which should include finger print and DNA profiling.
2. Create a well funded SWAT force with latest manuvering helicopters atleast five H-copters in each state. This will help the SWAT team of sharp shooters to deploy within seconds and back up ground force.
3. CBN should create a data base for banks where customer's information such as names finger print will be store made accessible to policing agencies during an investigation.
4. Create a crime data base, the president should make a nationwide broadcast to educate Nigerian on the crime data base and how it can affect their lives positively and negatively and warn them to desist from crime. All employment agencies, banks, industries should be mandated to do a background check before employing a citizen also political office holders and the presidential aspirant should under-go background checks, if anyone was found to have committed a crime that person becomes automatically disqualified even if the person is a first-class product. If we had such system people like Ibori who was once involved in creditcard fraud and thieft in the UK would have been disqualified before he became governor and that would have saved us billions of dollars he stole. No matter how small a crime is and how young the criminal might be that person's name should be entered into the crime data base if found guilty. That will send a strong signals to the Youths and every citizens.
5. Restore Electricity immediate with all tools available, meanwhile all electricity exported to neigbouring nations like Niger, Ghana, Benin etc should be stop and reverted back to power the nation. Because with electricity small scale business will strive. And temptation to perfect crime will reduce.
6. Create a telecom data base, where call data of both mobile, CDMA abd fixed lines will be recorded and policing agencies can access it to link criminals, i applaud recent requirement of mobile registration, but more needs to be done like pictures, that way the data base will have names, pics and even tumb print side by side.
7. Instead of yeye community policing which allow police men to extort money, i would recommend intelligent policing, where intelligent gathering police officers in disguise will be posted to work and live under cover for months, it should be strategically planed where they can be deployed to live in a room apart and make friends with the neighbours. Some should be posted as mechanic apprentices while other should seek jobs as bear palour attendant. This is the most important tool that the FBI is using here in America. Sexy female officers should also be recruited and posted on prostitution pretence with wire-tap and back-up monitoring personals. The intelligent policing should include police men posing as mafia drug dealers & mafia gun dealers, who will sell marked guns without arresting the criminals and even follow them to perform police programmed crimes. mostly bullionvan robberies where bullion vans set-up by the police with cash will be robbed. This is the way to squash high profile robberies gangs. After the robberies must have successfully taken place and during sharing of the proceed the gangs will be rounded up. That way the inner-gods of crimes can be brought to book. Cos' most of the time brains behind roberies never go for the roberies but surface during sharing of proceeds. I m suprised that the past and present IG himself couldnt come up with such ideas what training do they go for in the USA and Europe what conferences? if they can wire profession policing back home.
8. All policing personal should be insured to the tune of N5million naira minimum with a govt house incase of death of policeman during crime fighting or spray bullets by robbers such insurance should be paid to the family after exhaustive investigation, however insurance will not cover police officers linched by angry mob after shooting a conductor who refuses to pay N20 bribe or police officers who was shot by robbers because of exposure during collection of N20 bribe, that is why a solid investigation should be carried out to determine how the officer died and impact point of bullet. Yes, impact point of bullet tells a great deal of story with a sofisticated forensic institution to process it. In order to save govt frivolous insurance fees knowing the kind of country will live in most wives of police officers can poison their husband either because the love has gone sour or the man has ladies outside, once they know N5million is up for grabs, that is why the insurance wont cover such death, we should be responsible for our action. All policing officers serving, his/her children educational fees and healthy requirement should be immdiately covered by the government to boost moral.
9. A modern forensic institution should be built in each state with personal sent to the USA for 6months - 1year training. This will aid in the capture of hired killers and processing of bullet shells found on robery sites, mind you bullet shells have finger prints on them. Without a modern forensic institution, DNA and finger print data-base is useless.
10. A mandatory requirement should be made in secret to all embassies both African, Asian and Europe embassies in Nigeria to forward names of applicants applying for visa to travel abroad for background check and clearance such names and passport details should be forwarded to the policing agencies directly by the embassies . Once a crime is commit the next thing a criminal thinks about is jetting out of the country, most youths perform crimes to raise money for visa and travel expenses especially to America and Europe, and can be pin down during visa application, this is another way to capture criminals on the run.
11. Nigerian embassies abroad should partner with with policing agencies abroad so that any Nigerian caught commiting crime abroad should be deported back home, international passport seized and a 5yrs travel abroad band implemented and sent to all embassies, while the person's name is entered into the nation's crime data base.
12. States govts should implement "Operation no criminal accomodation" If anyone found to have committed a crime should not be accomodated in any state but his/her state of origin/state of birth. That way a criminal who is from edo state and committed a crime in lagos will not be allowed to live in any other state in the country than edo state. This can be done if a citizen identity card with a compact swipe identification facility which will be available to all motorized police officers.
13. Death sentence should be made mandatory for criminals apprehended and convicted for robberies and political office holders who steal from govt purse or get kick backs from over inflated contracts because political office holder are crime boosters they boost crime by fustrating the citizens they swore to protect by defrauding the nation and stealing funds required for projects that will make life meaningful for the masses.
#12 is no doubt a tough rule but we are also in a tough state of crime in our nation where hard working citizens cant have rest of mind, as well only a toughly implemented rule will drastically change Nigeria, majority of Nigerians are law abiding and advantage taking citizens, so with a lapsed law/system you can be sure that most Nigerians will seize every opportunity to game the system. Tho!, #12 can be open for debate, but if i was the president it will be implemented immediately, after all who wants to harbor a convict.

BusinessRe: How Can We Combat Fraud In Nigeria? by kenflipper(m): 4:53pm On Jul 22, 2008
Sorry to say but our govt isnt ready to fight fraud/crime. The first and most important step to fight fraud/crime is knowing your citizens. thats the biggest tool the civilized world use in fighting fraud. Our politicians are dirty and if we implement operation know your citizens in Nigeria (Citizens identification/DNA data base)they will all be exposed. Right now everyone in Nigeria is invincible to one another so its a safe place for crime to strive.
Nigerians are very smart breeds they think deep and wide on how to twist and bend and game the system so in creating a citizens data base there must be DNA identification to prevent finger print fraud. If i was the president, I would propose chip implants identification, but thats for another topic for another day.
Everyone going into the cafe for internet useage should register their identification card number veirfiable by the attendant and also finger print and sign time in/out he/she entered the cafe! what pc he/she uses thats all we need, in turn the policing bodies (EFCC or ICPC) should have a computer forensic department. It is a known fact that know matter how u delect information from the pc it can still be extracted via computer forensic. the computer forensic dept will come at specific times to scan all pc in cafes, tho' the process can be pain-taking it should be done to arrest these criminals. fraud information found on pc will be corrolated wit time used and compared to the signed register to figure out who was on the pc at that time, when concluded the the EFCC will process the finger print and go for the kill to swoop on the scammers, easy as ABC. Robbers who rob banks/homes or buses can be caught wit a citizens DNA data base if those crimes scenes are properly preserved after the crime. Apart from processing finger prints saliva can be processed for specific DNA that can be scaned on the DNA data base for specific individuals. humans tend to loose body hairs while under duress, fear or shock. Criminals do loose alot of body hair during crime, if crime scenes are properly preserved it can be processed wit neonlights at night for specific evidence as hair/saliva/prints and other specific items that might drop from the robbers during raid, wit the combined help of CCTV all robbers would be caught even after they have perfected their crime. Footage from CCTV should be place on TV for the public to assist the police wit information. There should be a single data base for bank clients controlled by CBN and the policing authorities should be given access to it when requested. That is how it is done here in the USA, i mean even tho' USA doesnt make use of implant identification its the highest form of security and it is now been contemplated for convicted criminal for dispeakable crimes like sex offenders and first degree murders so that they can be easily identified by the public after serving their jail term. Some are even calling for tatoo of crime committed on the criminals forehead.

Also we should have a solid offender data base where a back-ground check can always be done weather u are 10yrs old or 100yrs old once u commit a crime u will be registered under the offenders data base. Nigeria embassies abroad should inform the police department in their respective countries to inform them when ever a Nigerian is arrest that way they can also be registered so that when they get their degree and go back home cos they criminal record wont allow them a job abroad, their criminal records will prevent them from gaming the system, that way if u seek employ into govt agencies/banks/oil firm or private companies/or even participating in Guilder ultimate search, such will have to do a background check on the employee to make sure that he/she dont have a criminal record before employment, having a criminal background automatically disqualifies you. that way only honest hard working people will always get the best of the society. If such is implemented we certainly wont have cultism in school and prostitution in school by young girls will automatically stop that way, what u do today determines ur future tomorrow, and there will be enough open jobs for good people. Your inability to secure a job will largely means u personally disqualified yourself wit wht u did few yrs back. Banks would not lend money to those wit history of crime and that way there will be sanity good and geniue people who need money for business or emergencies can walk into the bank and get such at a low interest rate, bingo!, the system will be up and runing again better than what it was in the 60s/70s after the britis left us after our leader said they were man and old enough to handle the affairs of the country meanwhile what they meant was they were man and old enough to STEAL. while those of us who miss eba and amala will come home.
And there will be enough open jobs for good people. Your inability to secure a job will largely means u personally disqualified yourself wit wht u did few yrs back.

You can get it at ladipo mushin in lagos, last i got it was in 2005 was N4,500 for d carburetor wit inflation u should least hold N6,500 - N8,000. My best tip would be that you dont buy from the shops in ladipo since you are in warri. go straight to the ware-houses and buy directly from the importers while they re downloading there goods, so they loose it directly from the engine. That way u can sure that when u get back to warri u wont have a problem, cos' those boys sometimes sell bad carburetors. Alternatively you can try onitsha auto market if its closer to you, make sure u demand atleast 1week written guarrante with full refund applicable, just incase u re disappointed. I m not in nigeria right now, giving tips to help you out i know how fustrating it was to me back then.

Is yours a sensor package?, if so, then its better to get a another one cos certainly not repairable! i had same problem wit my premera, the truth is that these cars all have life span and life span of the parts are almost exhausted before been shiped into nigeria as tokunbo. The carburetor is the basic problem wit primeras. Replace the sensor but the price for sensor is almost equal to that of the total caburetor. I had same problem 3yrs ago and ended up changing mine 3times before selling the car. I am not a mechanic talking from experience.

Its sad that the CAD/CAM aspect of CNC programming wasnt taught during your final year, no engineer irrespective of the discipline would be complete for tomorrow's task without CNC programming.
ProgrammingRe: Cnc Cad/cam Programmer by kenflipper(op): 4:01am On Jun 18, 2008
True, i agree with you, but we can change that, and we have to start thinking the other way, that is why India is ahead of us. Those manual machines can be converted into CNC programming machines by the application of a computer that can turn the machines into robots, that is the initiative i m working work on. It will help turn us into an industrial nation and we can dominate Africa with it. But if the technology comes into Nigeria we still need the manpower. Let take for example oil firms, all oil firms presently in Nigeria use CNC driven machines to drill for oil, because Nigerians are far from the programming abilities of CNC, a foreigner is imported to do the job and paid thousands of dollars. There are firms all over the world looking for experienced CNC programmers Nigeria youths who have studied engineering in poly or uni can take advantage of the new job order. Indians students are rushing into CNC sectors, in order for them to be marketable worldwide. Its the easiest way to travel comfortably for those seeking a better life overseas. The unfortunate thing is i doubt if there is any school in Nigeria that presently offers CNC programming the number one location for CNC study is in Denmark, that is where most firms send their staff for training. My idea is that with CNC programming abilities our engineers can be marketable worldwide which will inturn boost our economy just like what the indians are doing exporting their engineers to the gulf.

Things you should know to be a CNC programmer :
1. Engineering field ( either computer, mechanical, petroleum, mining, electrical or chemical)
2. An expert in Computer
3. You need to understand CAD
4. You should know CAM
5. Ability to read a technical drawing because the drawings is all u have to work with by converting it into CAD.
6. You need to understand measurements in ' and '' (ft and inches)
7. Ability to convert technical drawing into G-code(which is the computerized language machines understands).
8. Understand the concept of physics e.g RPM(revolution per min), velocity, speed, projection etc
9. You have to be good in calculating algebra, fractions and decimal points (cos' CNC programming makes use of fractions and decimal point in order to get a precision result.

ProgrammingRe: Cnc Cad/cam Programmer by kenflipper(op): 11:30am On Jun 16, 2008
I was hoping the engineers in the house would find this topic very interesting CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control programmers, it is the essential programming of robots to perform a specific task to precision. It is used in the industralized nations in production of autos, computers and all other industries that deals with production. etc. The demand for CNC programmers is very high all over the world and the money is highly rewarding ranging from $35 an hour as an entry level with working experience in robotics. Think about any machine it can be programmed to perform a task on its own, using a computer. Lets take for example ATM machines, they require CNC to allow the ATM perform tasks even when no one is at the bank. it is programmed and loaded during working hrs. I have the concept of CNC and i m planing on building one to test runing in Nigeria industries. Even a sewing machine can be programmed to sew with out supervision using the concept of CNC. A car can be programmed to run wit out supervision using the concept of CNC.
