President has ordered that all the Political appointees should resign, this is just in connotation to the law as it is, not just Political appointees, Civil and Public Servants who wish to run a partisan politics have to resign too.

The order does not mean that the President is hell-bent to get him sacked if not, if he does not resign and unvails full interest in politics and the number of days in which he has to do the needful approaches, the law will catch up with him, there are procedures for that.

However, for many of you guys who are shouting the President can not get him sacked, the President can still do that, as it enshrined to him by the law in the clause of "veto power" he enjoys in a presidential government structure.

In such a structure, after God, it is the President, a similar thing happened during Jonathan's administration, he sacked Sanusi Lamidu Sanusi, the then CBN governor when his tenure was yet to expire.
