Romance / Re: Who Is The Father Of The Child? EX OR HUBBY. by Kenn55: 6:37pm On Jan 15 |
cocolacec: Let me assume this is a true story. The quick answer to your question is the the child is for your ex. Let me explain. If we assume that you have a 28 day cycle which is normal for majority of women then your first day of your menstrual period which begins your cycle will be 13th and your ovulation which is mid cycle will be 26th plus or minus 1 day. The chances of pregnancy for a Male child for sex that happens on the 25th,26th, 27th or even 28th for a healthy couple without any reproductive issue is over 80%. Since you had sex on 27th with your ex which is around your most fertile date and you had a boy, the probability of it being your ex is over 80%. For it to be a girl, the sex needed to have happened around 21st to 23rd plus or minus 1 day so that only the X chromosome will be guaranteed to be alive at the time of your ovulation to fertilize the egg. It is then safe to say all things being equal, your ex owns the child. You can do a DNA to confirm. 1 Like |

adekzy: You are naive. After China development peaked and they were no longer building as before, smart Chinese started looking for a way to keep their construction conglomerate working. They found 3rd world countries where they show up as messiah to help them grow. China gives you loan, use their own companies and manpower to execute the work then use the opportunity to extract your natural resources. At the end of the day, the money doesn't trickle down to the local economy cos 70% of the money they loaned you goes back into China for their own benefit yet you are still owing massively. You gain only shiny projects that can't even generate enough money to pay back the loan. Current examples of the Chinese debt trap mess can be felt in Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Zambia etc. Some of these countries are now turning to the same IMF for help after China refused to restructure their debt or cancel it. If China was there to help Africa, why can't China help Nigeria fix her power problem knowing fully well that is the major thing that would accelerate Nigeria industrialization? They won't near there because an industrialized Nigeria will be a threat to China manufacturing as companies would be incentivized to use Nigeria as their manufacturing hub. Like the west, China is looking out for their own interest not yours. I expect you to relocate to the likes of Russia, China,Yemen etc to enjoy their values after all they have better values. By the way, don't bother responding cos I won't reply. I'm out 9 Likes |

adekzy: Talking about protecting innocent lives that's good. Show me where you have protested the killings and displacement of people in the middle belt of Nigeria by fulani herdsmen. Where is your outrage for the ones happening in your own backyard? Or their lives don't matter to you? Unlike Hamas, the people of middle belt did not attack anyone yet they are being massacred and displaced in their ancestral home and you are here spewing nonsense. 3 Likes |

adekzy: I hope you are writing this trash from Moscow. If IPOB leaves the SE and cross over to the SW or North and kill over 1200 innocent people of the SW and take over 300 people of them and camp them in the SE as hostages and the people of the SE did not demonstrate immediately and pour into the street to denounce and condemn that act and demand the immediate release of those hostages, then any action taken by the FG on them will receive less sympathy from the public. Will Nigeria do nothing if a neighboring country enters the country, massacre up to a 1200 people and abduct over 300 Nigerians? There is no justification for using terrorism to achieve a political aim or settle problems. Isreal Palestinian problems cannot be solved through terrorism. If you justify the event of Oct 7th then don't cry over the repercussions You justified Russia bombardment of Ukraine as legitimate even though Ukraine never attacked Russia despite Russia annexing Crimea since 2014. The same way Gaza is being bombarded, is the same way Ukrainian cities are being bombarded by Russia. There is no justification for Russia to destroy Ukraine yet you support it but cry over Isreal that was attacked by terrorists, what a hypocrisy. If you like keep supporting terrorists because you hate the west, that one na your business. If houti terrorist like, they should not think about their civilians and initiate a war they can't win after all they have people like you who will defend them as victims. After all, they have been at war with Saudi led Arab coalition since 2015 that has killed over 300,000 Yemenis so it looks like they don't care anymore. By the way, the US has been in Russia doorsteps since 2004. Norway,Estonia and Latvia are bordering Russia and are members of NATO since 2004 yet they US or NATO hasn't attacked Russia since then. Finland bothers Russia and has now joined NATO. Russia does not fear NATO militarily cos NATO will never attack Russia unprovoked and they know it. The only thing Russia fears about NATO is that it is loosing her ability to bully her neighbors. The only countries Russia can bully now is Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Maldova. If Ukraine joins NATO, the list reduces. For a country that sees itself as equal to the US, it is a big blow to them. Unfortunately, Russia doesn't have anything to offer to any reasonable person, this is why her neighbors are looking west. There is nothing to gain from a country that uses poison or mysterious death to settle scores. While people in the west can hold their government accountable and can remove them from power when neccessary, Russians unfortunately don't have that priviledge and you are here talking nonsense. 10 Likes |

adekzy: You guys should be fair in your criticisms. So Houtis are now the victim? Where were u and houti supporters since November when they started attacking international shipping in international waters? Are they ships doing their legitimate business part of the war? Why can't they attack Isreal and leave innocent ships alone? If your brother is a sailor who plies that route and they kill him for something that is not his business, would you be here talking nonsense? Or the lives of sailors in international waters don't matter to you? The houtis are very stupid. They will draw the fire by themselves but when the fire starts consuming them, they will start crying genocide. They won't care about their civilians now ooo. On Oct 7, Hamas in their own wisdom decided that the best way to resolve their grievances with Isreal is to go into isreal and massacre civilians and take more than 300 hostage from Isreal, Imagine! What were they thinking? Isreal of all countries that is built on war. They know their civilians will pay the price cos Isreal will surely come for them but that is their goal, to draw the fury of Isreal and come back to claim victim and accuse Isreal of genocide. I expected demonstrations from Palestinians, arabs, south Africans etc to condemn hamas actions during that time Hamas carried out that terror act on isreal but they didn't. If they had done that, it would be fair to hang Isreal for the situation in Gaza. By the way, this whole middle east crisis is formented by Iran to get regional hegemony over the arabs. Why is Shia Iran carrying Sunni Palestinians matter on their head while Sunni arabs like Saudi,Egypt,Jordan etc aren't? Are you telling me that Shia Iran love the Palestinians more than the Palestinians Sunni brothers? Iran would not join the fight but will engage its proxies to fire the weapons and draw the fight to their own land and the mumu idiots will do it and cry genocide tomorrow. As for South Africa, let them solve their xenophobic problems before putting their mouth in other people's issues. Before the end of the year, their citizens will go and kill foreigners in their country and destroy their businesses but they are here forming holier than thou. By the way, Ukraine did not attack Russia to start the war. Russia brought the war to them. If Ukraine did what Hamas did, nobody would have given a damn about their suffering. You can't initiate a war and claim victim, I won't buy that. 6 Likes |

Pecoleee345: Why should you let the president off the hook here? The degradation of Nigeria is primarily the fault of the president. To be fair to Tinubu, he wasn't the one that destroyed it as it started before him but he has contributed to bury it. The major items that controls the health and viability of the country rests on the FG. The president presides over the monetary and fiscal policies which sets the tone for the economy which affects the states. CBN though independent reports to the president. When naira depreciates due to stupid policies that gives rise to inflation, it is not on the governors. The president controls the police, army, dss and the entire security architecture etc. Not the governors. When farmers can't farm because of the massacre by terrorists in the middle belt which now leads to higher food prices, the fault is more on the president than governors cos governors don't control the armed forces. I can go on and on. Unfortunately, our structure is the cause of this deep problems. We copied democracy from the west but applied it the wrong way due to greed. If we practiced true federalism then the governors would have more of the blame. Now they are hiding under the FG cos the FG is too powerful. In the west like Canada and US, each state or province function like an independent country and in charge of its economy. No sharing of money from FG, it is the state that contributes money to the FG. The resources in each state is used for the state so every state is forced to develop it's own unique economy. In Nigeria, the states are useless cos there is oil money to be shared every month. I'm not saying the governors are doing well, in fact, they are useless but as per your argument, the president shares the biggest blame in the current situation. 111 Likes 18 Shares |

ednut1: He is messing up. I can forgive him for the mismanagement of the pandemic after all almost every western country made the same mistake. Nobody up till that point has managed a global pandemic of that magnitude. Even China economy hasn't recovered from the effect of that pandemic. I'm voting against him mainly cos of the carbon tax he has so far refused to rescind across board. We can't fight climate change with tax and spend policy, it should rather be technology driven. He is becoming too ideologically stiff without applying common sense. |

lastkingsman: It is not Putin. Putin's influence resonates more in Europe than North America. Canada has a lot of things Russia has that Europe doesn't have. It is the mismanagement of the pandemic. During the pandemic, they threw a lot of money into the system when people were on lockdown. After the pandemic, there was too much money and less goods and services. If you remember basic economics, it states that when too much money are chasing few goods and services, inflation occurs. This is what happened after the pandemic and central bank had to use monetary policy of hiking interest rate to kill demand and slow the economy. In summary, it is using monetary policy to fix the fiscal mess created by the government and unfortunately people are paying for it I know they won't throw money again if the pandemic happens again. I hope they have learnt their lessons. |

CPP that is driving this additional payroll deduction is called the Canada Pension Plan where you and your employer contribute towards your pension. If you work in corporate office in Nigeria, this shouldn't be new to you. What the government is trying to do now is to make people contribute more money to their pension so as to have more money at retirement, this is why they are increasing the threshold so that people who earn more money contribute more to their pension. Is this a good policy? Well, while there seem to be some sense in protecting and increasing pension, personally, I don't fancy that idea as I need the money now The only tax that doesn't make sense entirely is the carbon tax. The idea that you can deliberately make fuels more expensive so that people pivot to electric is stupid in my opinion especially as the electric transition is still at an infant stage. Climate change is real, we know but to fight it you need to be realistic but then that is the problem with liberal governments all over the world, they are not realistic as they are fighting climate change in a stupid way that end up increasing the cost of living. Carbon tax is NOT a good way to fight climate change as it increases the cost of living not just fuel The good thing is that the opposition is hammering on that carbon tax now and it is gaining traction in the country. Canadians are beginning to see that it doesn't make sense. This is why the opposition is leading by double digits in polling currently and are favored to win the next election. The government is already caving in as they have made some exemptions in Atlantic Canada and some provinces will stop collecting the tax from January 1st. So at the end of the day, he will either scrap it entirely or loose the next election. Even if he scraps it now, I think it is too late for the incumbent to win the next election. The sweet thing is that we have the power as citizens to change our government when they mess up which we will do in the next 18 months unlike in Nigeria where citizens are powerless to change a non performing government even if they wanted to and this is what makes the difference. As Canadians, we are confident that the challenges we face today will be sorted out in few years time. This is not the first time we have faced some serious problems but it gets addressed either by the incumbent or a change in government and that is the beauty of a working democracy 2 Likes |

Please guys, the person I'm trying to help got admission to conestoga college on her first choice course while her 2nd and 3rd are on waitlist. Now, after examining the issue, her chances of getting a visa is stronger on her 2nd and 3rd choices compared to the first cos it is more aligned career wise and she can build a convincing story around the 2 courses My question now is if she declines the first choice admission she already have now, will it prompt them to give her the second or third choice admission which she now wants? Has anyone gotten admission on all 3 courses selected at Conestoga before? Thanks |

OgbeniOptional: Bros, I didn't say 800k won't be enough for somebody afterall people who earn 50k are still alive. I was jus responding to your statement that someone earning 800k can build a house in 4 years and I'm telling you that is not realistic in today's Nigeria where you buy materials today for say 20 naira and by the time you come back next month to buy the same material it has now become 25 naira Your 800k can't even get you 2 trips of chippings. A trip (20 tons) now is not less than 450k now. I have a building project going on right now and I know what my eye is seeing. For someone earning 800k to own a house in Lagos or any other top city in Nigeria where he has to buy a land, he will either take a mortgage or build it over 7 years at least and that is if all his monthly earnings is going into his building project and that is not realistic |

OgbeniOptional:What am I reading? Are you talking about 800k 10 years ago or 800k in today's Nigeria? Are you talking about building a house in Lagos or other viable cities or building a bungalow in your village? Even if you don't remove 1 penny from your 800k salary in 4 years, it may not even be enough to buy you a land in Lagos in some locations not to talk of building a house. Do you know the present cost of building materials? Have you done a building project recently? So how then can you pay your rent, fuel your car and home etc. on your 800k salary and still build a house in a city from the money in 4 years? You be magician? It's obvious you are a low income earner, that is why 800k looks big to you, it is not your fault, I understand. |

The Nigerian situation has made people develop thick skin and assume they can survive in any situation forgetting that being a temporary resident on a student visa is a whole lot different from being a permanent resident in a new country. If you talk to them about the reality of being a temporary resident without money, they tell you there must be a way somehow somehow make we reach there first. Fellow Nigerians, we know you have suffered and are resilient in tough times but ensure you have money for school fees and living expenses before you embark on that student journey. If you get a favorable job when you arrive that becomes a bonus for you but you can't rely on paying your school fees and living expenses by just working when you came to study, that is very risky. 3 Likes |

What should be the correct order after roofing especially if I want to suspend the project and do the remaining works gradually after some time? I want to do one more stuff after roofing and divert my funds to another thing but I'm thinking of just putting the doors and windows but don't know if it makes sense. Thanks |
