Lexusgs430:I have the feeling that you are a very likeable person in real life. Your online personality is very cool, I like your vibes. ![]() |
frony1:Sorry, I don't do emails. What do you want to know? I can share it here. It is not illegal so nothing to worry. |
Hi guys, I remember asking about judicial review here. I want to give an update for the benefit of people who might be in that situation. My cousin going for 1 year MSc, school fees 45k CAD fully paid, living expenses in 6 months account statement submitted both in USD and naira total of 25k USD, no lump sum, newly married but wife not going with him for stronger home ties, yet after all these, he was denied twice with their insufficient finance and other grammar. From all indications, the main reason why they denied him is that all his siblings are in Canada. He is the only one remaining in Nigeria. They didn't say that is the reason but in GCMS note, the officer noted that point indirectly. So my cousins here contacted a lawyer and filed for judicial review at the Federal court. Before even getting to the stage where the Judge will grant the Application for Leave, the IRCC lawyer reached out for settlement. Dem no wan face judge defend their decision ![]() So the litigation was withdrawn and after 2 weeks, the gave him PPR. However this cost almost 8k CAD for Lawyer fees to go through that process. Canadian lawyers no get joy for money oooo but it was worth it at the end.Like I suspected, IRCC sometimes intentionally deny people with other biased reasons different from what they state on paper. This is because they know pursuing judicial reviews is expensive so students would likely keep applying and give up at the end. Fortunately in saner climes, people who do bad avoid going to court cos they know the consequences unlike in Nigeria, people will commit crime and tell you to go to court ![]() If you are denied and you are sure you have a solid case, don't be scared to go to court if you have the money. If IRCC see you have gone to court, they will offer you settlement before it gets to a Judge and you will get a PPR afterwards. IRCC does not want to waste time and money to fight for a case they know they will likely loose so they will rather settle it and move on. I followed this case because my sibling (last born) is also the only one remaining in Nigeria and coming through school next year. Now my cousin own has worked, I'm now confident my sibling own will work next year if not by normal process then by judicial review. Goodluck to everyone applying for a visa. |
Enculer2:I still like Ontario despite the higher cost of living |
I don't understand. This is just like throwing red meat to the base. Who are they targeting? The last time I checked, majority of the countries in the world including US,Canada,UK and Europe all require visa to enter Nigeria so what is this all about? Are they targeting the few African countries that get visa on arrival? I think this guy just want to make it look like he is working otherwise I don't see how it changes anything. Anyone who understands the substance of this move not just the headline should explain to me, maybe I'm wrong |
Afromentalist:Renounce UK citizenship ![]() Are you a learner? ![]() |
Voltron007:Anytime I look at Alberta real estate, I just wish to run away from Ontario. If I had not established in Ontario, I wouldn't have thought twice about relocating to Alberta. They are really enjoying Ontario real estate problem escalated after the pandemic. In 2019 and early 2020, you could still get a sharp 2 bed apartment for $1,100 in the Region of Waterloo but now ...... ![]() |
Flamemignon1:You seem not to be interested to quit the lifestyle. I just have another question for you before I leave the thread. This is just for educational purposes not for argument. How does gay relationship work? Is it that only 1 person get penetrated all the time while the other person's ass is untouched or the 2 people involved get penetrated equally? I ask because I heard that in a gay relationship one person still has to act as a woman in the relationship Secondly, what happens to the anus in its ability to hold shit after penetrations? Since it is not designed for sex, is it not going to affect how the person poo? Thirdly, I see men doing like women these days, some have attributed people like that to gays. Is this true? Like I said, this is just for educational purpose not to condemn or argue with you. Thanks |
elated177:Don't get me wrong, those things are wrong. I intentionally didn't want to go full religious route in my assertion, after all not everyone is a Christian. I was trying to show why homosexuality is not just wrong but abominable. Something can be a sin but not an abomination ex fornication. At the same time, something can be more than a sin hence abominable. I was trying to narrow my assertion to focus on homosexuality alone and not just sexual sins in general. |
Flamemignon1:I understand you clearly. I used to have a total hatred for gays before but have understood that the issue is bigger than we thought. Come to think of it, there is nothing a man can offer another man sexually that a woman can't offer. Even if it's about sticking it in the ass, women have better ass too and I'm sure some women won't even mind even though it's disgusting. In case of lesbians, if it's about licking, sucking, fingering their Vagina etc, then men have tongue and hands too that can do it perfectly. In fact some men will not only lick the vagina but can cook rice and beans on top of it and eat everything. So it means there is more to homosexuality than we think. Let me explain. The brain controls everything in our body and system. The sense organs, sex organs, feeling we have etc. It is designed to function in a certain way under every situation but sometimes in some cases, it functions opposite on in reverse of what is expected. This is not always the fault of the person, sometimes it is what it is. Let me give examples Example 1: There are straight men who don't like BBW but love slim girls while some hate and don't have feelings for slim girls but can kill for BBW. The question is why don't the like one or the other? Are both people not still women? Their brain see these categories of women differently, it isn't their fault. Example 2: A man having a sexual feeling for his daughter or sister or mother (incest) . The brain is designed to get disgusted at this idea that is why a normal man who sees his sister naked instead of having erection, he feels disgust instead, but the same man will have erection if he sees a beautiful neighbor or colleague naked. The difference between the 2 examples is that while in example 1 the brain in that regard is working in reverse, the problem and desire are still within the realm of natural order cos both are still women he is entitled to have feelings for which is natural for men hence,it isn't viewed as a problem. But in Example 2, the problem and desire falls out of the natural order cos you are not supposed to have feelings for your blood and that is why it is a problem. Homosexuality falls under example 2 because the problem and desire falls out of the natural order. In all these examples, the people involved didn't intentionally choose to feel that way but unfortunately their brain malfunctions in an area that is abominable as in example 2 hence they need help. This is why I no longer go hard on gays cos I know they are battling an issue that is bigger than them. Homosexuality is wrong. Come to think of it, this is one of the only few things all religion of the world agree on. From christianity to Islam to Hinduism etc. Even officially atheist nations like China and North Korea rejects it. Even olden days traditional people rejects it. This is to show you that this is an abomination and not just a sin. You mentioned being happy but think about it, is this a sustainable happiness? It is a dead end if you look at the future. Even if gays can get married legally, aren't they gonna have children? Are they going to be happy when they are 65, getting old and weak with no child not to talk of grand child? Or are they going to adopt a child formed and born by the same woman they are running away from? Since we accept that homosexuality is in born, that means the adopted child can be straight. If that is the case, what will become of the adopted child who is straight and grow up to find out that he/she does not have a mother and the "mother" is a man? His/her parents are 2 men kissing each other as husband and wife, is the life of the child not damaged for life? Is that not selfish of the gays who were born and grew up in a home made of a man and woman but want an innocent child to grow up under 2 men or 2 women as parents? While I acknowledge that how you feel is not your making but who you are, I believed it can be reversed if the right therapy is followed. I have watched videos of gays who left it and became straight. However, the first road to redemption is to acknowledge that it is not right and it is a problem. The bible says, "You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free" Once you accept this truth and genuinely want to reverse course, I believe you can find help. But if you don't genuinely accept there is a problem, then you can't come out of it no matter the therapy. Your case is better I believe. Since you have slept with girls, then it means you can have and sustain erection with a woman at least to have sex which is good. It would have been a different case if no woman can make you erect. So coming out of this will not be that difficult if you genuinely want to do that. It is not your fault you are gay and I don't condemn you but I hope and pray you reverse course and come back to the natural order of things. |
Flamemignon1:Bros, I'm not here to judge or condemn you, I just want to be educated as you said. My question to you is: 1. How do you feel when you see a fine beautiful naked woman? Don't you have erection? 2. Have you had sex with a woman before? If yes, what's your feeling about it? No vex, I just want to understand from your perspective. Thanks |
buchito1:I have no idea what work visa or work permit looks like. I don't know if it is same as normal entry visa. But my guess if it is stamped on your passport showing you can go into Canada multiple times then you are okay. I guess the person I was talking about had just paper. I didn't follow that route so not sure how things work in that regard |
Mille:Guy, first of all, you are not rich so relax. There is no where in my post that shows envy for the rich except you mean envy for lawlessness which is a privilege for Nigerians rich class. You twist my statement to suit your stupid points. Where did I say "abroad is a leveler of wealth" as you highlighted? I said " abroad is a leveler of men" meaning the man who lives in luxury estate in London zone 1 cannot oppress the bushy hair man who lives in shared flat in zone 5 because of his wealth. In case you don't still get my point. If Elon Musk injures an American in the US and Dangote injures a Nigerian in Nigeria as a result of reckless driving for example, who is likely going to face accountability between the 2 people based on how their society works? |
Gerrard59:I understand your point but I don't think you understand what he @OP is asking. I don't think the OP meant the ultra wealthy like billionaires. I don't think anyone expects the likes of Dangote to migrate and officially reside abroad, it doesn't make sense. I think the OP is asking about the rich in general not necessarily the level of Dangotes. Wealth get levels naa |
buchito1:Make sure you have a valid visa on your passport ooo. Work permit does not grant you entry to Canada, only your visa does. A friend nearly got deported back to Nigeria after he went for a wedding in the US. He wasn't allowed back into Canada initially but there is a law that allows you back only if your going and coming back is within 24hrs and your travel is only to the US, that's what saved him. His visa was expired but he thought work permit replaced the visa. |
ednut1:Lol. Ebi like say na you I go vote for in the next election to replace Traudeau . You are now in charge of Canada ![]() |
The answer is simple. They can't get the level of respect and worship they get in Nigeria when they reside abroad. Secondly, their source of wealth will be questioned. Abroad is a leveler of men, nobody send anybody. No special interest or recognition, no police or army following you around carrying your bag and umbrella for you cos you are a big man, everybody has 24/7 light, everybody has water rushing in their homes, everybody enjoys good roads, everybody can afford to travel to other countries because of their passport if they can afford a flight ticket not because they have billions in the bank to show the embassy etc. So at the end, the gap between the rich and poor is narrow so nobody is going to become a slave to another person because they are rich in abroad. So if you are a Nigerian big man, you don't want to live in a place where you become an ordinary person, you will rather want to live in a place where your wealth can make you a "god" in the eyes of the people and you can use them and the system to your advantage. In Nigeria, if you are rich, the police, judiciary, pastors etc will do your bidding, in abroad, nobody cares. But then, don't forget that despite that, most still have properties abroad and their children also have one leg abroad through citizenship or residency incase of incasity Don't let them fool you, they are WISE |
Snakedoctor1:Chai . Naija treating her citizens like trash since 1960. Take heart brother |
nnamdi346:Thanks. So your spouse already got their visa before you applied for sowp? Not that you applied together Is there anything specific to note when applying in this situation? How long did it take? |
koonbey:I don't care what he does with illegal immigrants, I don't support illegal immigration. But children of illegal immigrants born on US soil shouldn't be denied citizenship, they didn't ask to be born there. As a child of an immigrant himself, I expect him to show a little bit more compassion at least to the children and not trying to be more mean than even white supremacists. No other conservative has publicly targeted children of illegal immigrants, why should the only one floating this idea be one whose parents just migrated from India just 40 years ago? You get my point now. |
jedisco:Too bad. This is similar to what Vivek Ramaswamy is trying to do in the US elections. Trying to be more notorious to immigrants than Trump himself just so that he is accepted by the hard far right. He wants to end birthright citizenship for children of illegal immigrants born in the US, even Trump hasn't gone that far. Imagine someone whose parents migrated to the US just 40 years ago has the guts to be spewing that nonsense. I don't blame them, they are oportuned to be born in a free society where they can aspire to rise to any position and they now feel they have arrived. |
DereI:Abeg no vex. Where do you pay this kind of outrageous amount on utilities? Which kind of property is that? |
kokoA:Why is it compulsory for foreign media to show it? Are my sensing low self esteem or what? For your information, whether foreign media shows it or not doesn't change anything |
Talk is cheap |
Please guys, Someone I know has gotten his PPR but it's late to start coming as school has resumed. He has deferred to sep 2024 and will be coming to Canada around July 2024. The initial plan was to arrive first before applying for the spouse SOWP, since he can't arrive till July, can the spouse apply for SOWP now while he is still in Nigeria? Or must the spouse wait for him to land first before she applies for SOWP? Thanks |
ednut1:Exactly my brother, I can't wait to vote him out. His time is up. Thank God Canadians are now seeing through his bullshit. |
Quintessence44:You guys like exaggerating things to suit your narrative. The problem with these stupid arguments that never cease to end in this forum is that the pro and anti japa sides have failed to be specific in their assertions. Are we talking of japa through green card/ permanent residence or japa through visit visa, asylum, refugee etc? Because these 2 modes of japa are not the same but for some ulterior motives, they are lumped together to confuse people. To your point, nobody who is "doing well " in Nigeria will leave his job or business to japa through an illegal means. My brother, people aren't stupid naa. People doing well japa through PR like I did years back. I remember when I was relocating and wanted to convert my 10m naira to USD, my cousin could not understand my decision and felt I was stupid. In a last ditch effort to stop me a day before we flew out, he showed me lands to buy trying to convince me that I'll triple my money in few years as the lands are fast appreciating but I still declined. I had my reasons to relocate and besides I was japaing as a PR, I wouldn't have japaed if it wasn't as a PR. With PR, you can rebuild your life faster and better. You can go back to school easily and acquire better skills that would catapult your career. I went back to school as I landed cos I wanted to switch from my career in Nigeria to IT in Canada. I didn't spend any shishi of my money to go back to school, I got grant from both the Federal and provincial government that covered all my school fees and 60% of my family living expenses. I was offered loan if I wanted but I declined to take the loan cos I came with money of my own. Fast forward years after, I have established in the IT world and now running away from recruiters in LinkedIn cos I can't be switching jobs every year. Most intelligent Nigerians who came legally end up becoming better off years after landing cos they make good use of the system. My brother, the only set of people who are doing well in Nigeria but trade it to japa by any means are people who have been personally touched by Nigeria and are so angry that they don't want to spend the next night in Nigeria. For example, someone who has been a victim of kidnapping, lost lots of money and nearly lost their life. There is someone I know who left Nigeria though I don't know which Visa he used sha but he left after he nearly lost his life in the hands of the army because he was making a call as his car driven by his wife was passing through an army checkpoint. He was brutalized and he spent nearly 2 months in hospital. After his recovery and release, they started planning japa and they eventually left for good. The truth is that I don't even blame them for that People japa for many personal reasons that is beyond money. But to say people who are comfortable in Nigeria are leaving it to become illegal immigrants in the west is an outright exaggeration, people are not stupid and I have not yet seen anyone in that category |
After you make the first 100m what next? Make another 100m? @Raydos, this is what I was trying to talk about in your thread. Every talk or argument about Nigerians is about money, more money, more more money and it ends with money. Nobody seems to give a damn about any other thing apart from the money they make. This thread will degenerate into an argument on who makes more money, the stage is set. This is all we care about as a people. |
