Zombie I did not criticize his action(s), he inherited the powers, I criticized the legislation that gave him the powers to do that, the main reason I stated supposedly independent commission.
a contestant can just wake one morning & sack the umpire is what you said but you're not criticising his actions but the legislation that allowed him the chairman act one kind. Failure to accept one's wrong is one of the reason this country is backward and you've perfectly that you're part of what is wrong with this country.
PoliticsRe: Breaking: Governor Adeleke Suspends OSIEC Chairman And Members by kentrowiz(m): 2:13pm On Nov 28, 2022
People like you are the reason this country is already backward. If a supposedly unbiased umpire can waste the resources he's trusted with and act in clear disregard of the law and he should be left alone. With people like you supporting the chairman this country cannot move forward.

buckeyemedia:
That is why Nigeria will forever remain backwards, a contestant can just wake one morning & sack the umpire in a so called independent commission?

garfield1:
Not true.the supreme court also stated that even if pdp had joined him,it is never a ground to nullify any election.
The same supreme court declared all the actions taken by Buni led Committee illegal and void in law. Which means candidates submitted by him are not duly submitted and deemed not to have contested their elections.

A foolish judgment.the supreme court settled this matter in jegede vs aketi supra
No bro. The only reason Aketi escaped was that PDP did not join Buni as a party to the Suit when challenging Aketi's election. That judgement gave them guidelines to challenge all actions taken by Buni. Ekiti should jeer up for SDP too.
PoliticsRe: Permutation For Upcoming Osun Governorship Election by kentrowiz(m): 8:02am On Jul 04, 2022
There are so many things that will decide the election that you did not add to your permutations actually. Lemme help.

1. The alliance with Omisore will do APC more harm than good because majority of the vote he got in 2018 will go to pdp.

The reason is simple, Omisore's political relevance is built on his imprisonment by the AD caucus and the believe that he will treat the workers well. He has lost this two by aligning with APC and he simply demystified himself by that miscalculation. Many people still feel betrayed by him. Lemme give you an instance, majority of the vote in Owode went to SDP in 2018 because they thought he might win. Now that he is not on the ballot I can assure you that that vote is not going to Oyetola.

Also, there's no third force in Osun election and the people are effectively between APC and PDP, this will also work in Adelekes favour because whether we like it or not the majority want APC gone and there's no third force to distract them like 2018.

Also, don't be deceived that the workers that are receiving regulated salary are happy because they're not. Do you even know that teachers the state government employed are not part of the Civil service, the government pays them 30k monthly and even newly retired workers are not been sorted. If I'm the governor, I won't be banking on the civil servant.

The Tinubu factor is limited also because majority of Osun people don't want a governor that his been remote controlled. The image of silent genius being peddled has not reasonably resonated with the people. And thinking that maybe Tinubu presidency will help him win, no, it will only make the election hard. Tinubu is not on the ballot, there's only one ballot and Oyetola is on it. The conscience of Osun people is not affected by any Yoruba agenda, people that will cash in on that are actually the law makers that will be on the ballot with Tinubu considering the fact that majority of voters are illiterates and will only vote in one direction.

My own bit sha.

... They are not same bro. Mind you that the Nigerian constitution is the highest law in the country and if any other law comes in variance with it,that law will be null and void and I stand now to tell you that there's nowhere in our Constitution where it says that a sitting president, his deputy, sitting govonor or his deputy can be sacked for defection. If there is,then they wouldn't be defections .
Our constitution is silent on the issue, it did not expressly prohibit or legalize it. That's why the court has the utmost discretion on the matter. That's why I referred you to Faleke's case. It would help if you read through it bro.

Consult the combine effect of section 188 and 189 and tell us where the judge manufactured his judgement from.
Note that the judge is morally right but constitutionally wrong.
We will see after the appeal.
Read the Supreme Court decision on Faleke v INEC & anor, 2016. It's a unanimous decision of the seven man Supreme Court panel. That should guide you.

Where in the constitution says that a governor or president will lose his seat if he defects??

Tell me.
The constitution does not contain all laws governing the country and all the laws governing Nigeria are not only in the constitution.

Also, the court also gives judgements according to the arguments framed before them and not ouside if that. In this instance, PDP lawyers did not argue the legality of his defection but the fact that the votes cast in the election belongs to the party and not the individual, which is an argument that is legally correct.

Check the Supreme Court judgment on Kogi Apc when Yaya Bello was substituted as the governorship candidate. You know the gist that time now.

The judge's precedence here is the judgements of the Supreme court which the appeal court do not have discretion over even if they feel it's wrong. The case will get to the Supreme court and until the judges of the Supreme Court over rule themselve, is when we can all say that the judge is wrong. Until then, he has made a beautiful legal submission.

Nobody is taking the guy serious. The fuse is all about his ambition to go to HOR in 2023. Which he has already been told it's impossible. The people of Ede can't support two of their family members when we have other sons of the land too.

He thinks he can divide the votes in Ede like Adejare Bello and receive political appointment but the people are wiser now and won't make the mistake twice.

If the throne had been politically desecrated the way Sen Abiola Ajimobi and his henchmen were going about it with the connivance of some power drunk High Chiefs like Uncle Lekan, would there be any stool to dream of again?
I'll give the King stool to High Chief Sen Rasheed Ladoja if I were the Governor, there's something called forthrightness in leadership, a king must be seen to have such as a primary trait.

Eh, we know your type - ordinary butterfly calling itself bird. If you permit yourself the presence of mind you would see that what I said was the absolute truth. Read between the lines to know that there are other classes of people in Oyo state aside from workers. How does the Governor make the main taxpayers benefit from governance? Think it out. Here's a man who took beggars from the streets of Ibadan and resettled them in Moniya using public funds without interrogating the consequences. They're now back, clogging the highways and posing as a nuisance to other citizens. What governor does that who has his head properly set on his neck? Makinde did not know that if you give the son of a palm wine rapper a ride in a spacecraft to Space he would ask for his climbing ropes. Makinde ain't gat what it takes to be a successful Governor, failing to borrow a leaf from the Governors of nearby Lagos and Ogun states as he appears to be doing. Do not think I'm of APC, for I say here and now that, May God continue to confound all Nigerian politicians. Clueless fools.
Do you stay in Ibadan?

Before you continue your negative criticism, you should move from Challenge to Iwo road. We can have a mutually benefitting discussion after you take that trip.
CelebritiesRe: Portable: 'Poco Lee Stole My Song & The Dollars Wizkid Gave Me' by kentrowiz(m): 2:20pm On Dec 21, 2021
Sanchez01:
Comments on this thread best capture why the political class will always ride on the masses. Portable is not out of line in any way. His approach may be crude as he is perceived to be uneducated and rough but there is no denying that Poco Lee has been milking him.

Poco Lee's name comes first while Portable and Olamide are regarded as featured acts in the song. This is not a common mistake but a well calculated attempt at profiting off someone considered to be unenlightened, ignorant and uneducated. The song was done with by Portable and Olamide but Poco Lee's name found its way to the track name. He is neither a DJ, nor an executive producer.

Royalties, awards, recognitions, and other accolades the song will get in the nearest future will all go to Poco Lee because the track name suggests he owns the song but Portable is the one getting the recognition.

The Nigerian music industry might be a 'dog eat dog' affair but this is unprecedented. The Dollar issue is of no concern to me but Poco Lee is definitely not helping this Sango act. Unfortunately, he will be kicked back to where he crawled out from but this whole charade gives an idea into how label owners and industry helpers lift artists to their doom—they make the money while they leave the fame to the artists and even control how much the artists take home.
God will not shame you.

I acknowledge your points, but why do we leave those at the lower tier of government (Governor, house of reps, local government chair men et al) and always face the FG for virtually everything?

Does this sound logical to you?

I read everything from A-Z ,my grudge is still with those who can't hold government at the lower rung to do the right thing.

Let's be logical when we talk.
The only logical thing to do in this aspect is to blame the FG because it's only the FG that have the power to do anything in this instance.

The FG controls all the security agencies and gives order to them. The state government does not have this power. To be realistic in the Nigerian sense any leader of an armed group is more powerful than a state government. Don't forget that a state Governor cannot even give order to any security agency in his state.

So how do we blame them for not using the power they don't have when we know the person that have all the power.

Personally, I'll point fingers to them when i know they have appropriate powers to take action.

Until then, I won't be part of Nigerians that blame legislators for the bad roads and leave the executive while hailing the ones that built a block of classroom with no single bill.

If you deceive people, it is Buhari.

Some of you are just irredeemably dumb.

You should stop shifting blames when you are the very problem of your predicament.

Yes,I acknowledged the president has a lot to do,but why should even the silliest of evil acts be ascribed to him.

We need to work on ourselves.

Nigerians never take blames for their own self inflicted problems they always look for someone to heap the blame on.
So this lady is the architect of her own problems. What exactly is Buhari elected to do if he can be absorbed of blame in this instance?

"Ironically, these same repentant insurgents are those being treated with kid gloves. Government pays them allowances, trains them in vocations and skills. Government bought them phones which they use to communicate with their people in the forest while we, the victims of their madness are treated as dogs without any courtesy or regards."

Someone that has tried to enroll herself into higher institution from IDP camp has not taken her destiny into her hands enough.

You should be truthful to your conscience for once at least.

Stop replying them boss. These individuals you're quoting are the reason these good for nothing politicians will always remain in power and make Nigerians suffer.

The woman simply asked us where the bishop was when the country was almost destroyed under GEJ or have we forgotten the Inyanyan bombing, chibok girls, among other gruesome incidents and why the Bishop was quiet then.

The same way all these killings, hunger and insecurities did not matter to Muric because someone of their religion is the president.

Most people attacking her in their comments can only result to that because the woman has touched the core of their hypocritical existence and there is no logical reply from them but to abuse her.
