So God's grace comes without ur effort? Did the Bible not say that "he who confesses and depart from his sins, God wld forgive"? What does dat tel u? That u must mak an effort! Did Apostle Paul not say "shld we continue in sin dat grace may abound much more? God forbid"!? Wat does dat tel u? It's ur effort, which starts with a heart willing to let go, that necessitates grace intervention. While there is grace, there is also the will or desire or efforts to abandon ur old ways.

What do u think your 'Effort' can help u achieve partaining to God's kingdom?? Jesus did it all on the cross. Our all for once death to sin is emphasised in Rom 6: 10-11. So our job is to RECOGNISE our one time death to sin being real. That way, it can have tangible effect in our thinking right here and now.If we fail to see this miraculous exchange as having already taken place, we’ll live under the delusion that we’re no different from a lost person. We’ll end up thinking of ourselves as “sinners” rather than grasping the radical truth that we’re now saints by nature and in this nature, sin Disgusts u(Grace).

My dear forget about motivational talks. Determination this and that. Many have done it, and sin still caught up with them. David sinned after years of knowing God. Job accused God when his travail seem unending. Apart from major sins sef, there are so many little sin people don't know they commit cus to them its normal. Thinking that an offended who came to beg the offender is a weakling (when actually it shd be d other way round)..that alone is a sin on its own. To say there are some people you won't greet cus of what they are or did to you is already sin. This self-esteem issue of a thing is actually pride if you look well into it. Cus if you depend on God in all, you wont even feel hurt for esteem reasons. Helpless addictions to drugs cant be stopped easily just because theyre sins. Sin run through our veins, only the Almighty God thru d holy spirit can help overcome it.

Jesus does not only save from sin he also gives the power to overcome it. Sanctification removes d nature of sin from man. The only role man has to play is absolute submission and admitting sin has power over you, so God can empower you above sin.

U took it from my mouth. Just believe in Christ and be saved. Thats all u need to do as man. God gives u grace to overcome sin.

Jesus died so that we will not abide by the law of the old testament and it wont count as sin to us. Yet this same grace teaches us to say no to ungodliness (Titus 2:11). The gospel is very simple!
I laugh when i see people set standards for God's judgement. God's standard for judgement is Receiving or Not Receiving Christ and NOT based on the law!.

No you cannot say that because you don't know if the story is true or the reason for their quarrel. What if the husband told you that she squandered their life savings without his knowledge and she wasn't remorseful. If this story is true, what I see is a man who mistakenly hits his wife, went to the gym to pick the wife up so they can resolve their differences and some nosy guys decided to take laws into their hands and finally, destroy the marriage.

And is that enough reason to beat her up?? U see the problem we have in Nigeria is that our men think that hitting their wife is the sole solution to her misdoings. Majority of men even hit their wives for no just cause. And hey, there is nothing like 'mistakenly hit his wife'. My stand here is ON NO ACCOUNT SHOULD A MAN RAISE HIS HANDS ON HIS WIFE!!!.

And if we should play your little game of 'what if', what if the guys beat him up because of the way he talked to them?? What if , the man threatened to beat them up or prolly get them arrested that made them pounce on him?

Well, i never thought of that and that doesnt mean i'm not rationally minded. People here tends to bring in negativity into such stories. The #girlchild is always wrong esp in Nigeria. Real friends can do much more than that for their friends. She mustn't cheat before she will have people that will fight for her.
