1. It is either they have achieved what they wanted and saw no need for continuous strike. They had to take out the Boys led by Abubakar Shekau II before he misbehave and spill the bean

2. The Sponsors of BH are afraid of the continuous exposure, they decide to silence the foot-soldiers and end the madness before they get fully exposed. They know that killing Shekau II and other top commanders will mean silencing prospective bean spillers.

3. Shekau and His Boys are Growing Wings and going out of plan. The Ogas decided to waste them before they implicate them.

Whichever way, there MUST be investigation. Sheriff, Ihejirika, Ali Ndume and others must be investigated
