sapha: TRANSCRIPT Good morning everyone
So I did my interview today
Got to the embassy around 6:10am and I met few people at the gate. Before I continue, *if you don't have ur B.sc certificate yet, please go and get it from ur university* to avoid shout from the VO and also be very fast when arranging ur documents to avoid Paulinus wrath. So after checking our appointment letter, Paulinus told us to arrange our documents according to the way he is saying. Original one side, photocopies on two different sides. I will advice u separate ur photocopies from each so DAT u can be fast when arrangement. Some persons where sent to the back of the line cos they weren't fast. I was fast and so I was the first to go in and be interviewed. I went in and sat for a while for the signal to go in. After the signal I went to the cubicle. The VO was a fair sweet lady.
Me: Good morning VO: Good morning VO: What are you going for? Me: Bachelor VO: How old are u Me: I answered VO: And you want to do B.sc at that age, or is it second degree? Me: Yes VO: Pass me your documents Me: I did VO: And 3 passport photographs Me: Gave her 2 (4got I had extra in my envelope) but I told her its 2 dats on the check list and she collected them VO: Are you married? Me: No VO: Put your hands for biometrics Then she went through my documents and noticed my B.sc certificate is not included but instead it was my B.sc statement of result VO: Now she raised her voice "Where is your Certificate, why didn't you bring it. You don't have any excuse cos you graduated 2014" Me: My statement is what I have with me (then she kept quiet)...oh boy..I started blasting in tongues in my mind oo while she was confirming my fingers on her system All of a sudden her mood changed to lively and friendly through out the remaining part of the interview. VO: What is your language of instruction (now in good state, no more anger face) Me: English VO: What are you doing now (her mood getting more friendly) Me: Teaching VO: Private or Government school Me: Government Then I remembered I have extra passport photo, but she said no need for it again VO: Which course are you going for Me: Environmental and Resource Management (She is now fully lively and friendly) VO: What is the name of the school Me: Brandenburg University of Technology VO: Where is it located Me: Cottbus VO: Are you going straight for the B.sc program (now looking into my eyes) Me: Yes VO: Are you sure Me: Very sure ma VO: Hand me your visa fee Me: I did....N30,500 VO: Why do you want to study this course Me: Told her because of my work experience as a Safety officer at RCC, I was involved in waste management and safety of workers and.....then she cuts in VO: What do you know about Germany Me: I gave her 15 facts about Germany (she was very impressed, at least from her behavior, she showed satisfied with the things I said).....go and practice those 44 facts about Germany "google it" VO: Why do you want to study in Germany Me: Germany have a high quality education with tuition free universities both for EU citizens and non-EU citizens VO: Why not USA or any other English speaking countries Me: Their cost of education is very high even with someone having a scholarship VO: Why not continue your education in Nigeria Me: The quality of education in Nigeria is very low compared to Germany VO: Who gave you this SL Me: My brother VO: Do you have relatives in Germany Me: Yes VO: Who Me: My brother and my sister VO: What preparation have you made for your study Me: I applied for an accommodation, they said they will reply me 3weeks to my arrival VO: What are your plans after graduation Me: To come back to Nigeria and establish a recycling company( while I was talking she was smiling and laffing saying "oh Nigerians" cos she tot I was lying. Her next question confirmed my tot VO: So you want to leave your brother in Germany and come to Nigeria( she said this while smiling and laffing) Me: Yes......(Wetin I wan talk b4...make I say No?...Lolzz) VO: That's all She gave me my receipt and passport and she said I should be checking my e-mail regularly.
PRAY VERY WELL AND TALK WITH CONFIDENCE AND BE FAST WHEN ARRANGING UR DOCUMENTS IN FRONT OF PAULINUS.....MORE GRACE!! Congrats!! Quick one, I am going for another bachelor degree, and my certificate is not ready but I’ve To whom it may concern and also statement of result, these plus transcripts, these are the documents I used in getting admission. I intend using To whom it may concern and the statement of result during my interview am I good to go? Since I’m not going for Master’s degree. |

Goztino: GOZTINO'S TRANSCRIPT
Before sharing this transcript, I would like to appeal to all of you. 1. Make sure you are close to German embassy a day before the interview date, Lagos always have traffic which might delay you and when you arrive late, you will not be allowed to enter for your interview. 2. If you are a JJC in Lagos like me, make sure you ask for directions very well or go with the person you are staying with so that you won't waste time unnecessarily on the road. 3. Ask questions when you are confused on the bus to take, lagosians are always willing to direct you. 4. A day before your interview date, check your documents properly and make sure its complete... Each document should have two copies each and also hold #30,500, otherwise you will be bounced. 5. When Paulinus will be checking your documents, mind your business and don't try to assist other people that will be confused behind you, I nearly got bounced because of that.
I left by 4:30am and arrived by 7:10am few minutes before Paulinus stopped admitting those for 7am.
Back to the interview section. I arrived around 7:10am after almost crying on the road due to traffic and even paying for drop from Obalande. On getting to the embassy, I saw the man Paulinus shouting here and there and sending some people back at the back for being unorganized as he used to say. VO: What's your name? VO: Why are you going to Germany? VO: Why this course? VO: Why Germany? VO: Why not English speaking countries? VO: Why not Nigeria? VO: Tell me about the city your school is located and everything you know about Germany. As I was still on it, he was typing some stuffs and at a point asked me to stop VO: What do you intend to do after your studies? Goztino: I want to come back to Nigeria and use the practical experience I will acquire in Germany to establish my own Geoscience firm here and become a Geoscience consultant. VO: Don't you want to work in Oil and gas companies? Goztino: I would start my own firm and employ other graduates in other to help towards the industrialization and creation of employment in my country, Nigeria. VO: Why not start the firm now and employ the graduates now? Goztino: I would have loved to but I don't have enough practical skills and experience yet VO: Alright, that will be all. Do you have any question for me? Goztino: No sir. Congrats! Please quick one, at the gate does Mr Paulinus check for admission letter or just appointment letter and does he differentiate Masters student / Bachelor student? Please kindly reply from your experience. I booked under Cat B since 14th of May yet no dates so I’m thinking of porting to Cat A. (I have 2:2 bachelor degree). Going for another Bachelor degree, Thank you. |

Randy91: To add to this,I was at Abuja German Embassy to certify my documents yesterday...
When I asked the fair lady that attended to me,she said if the address in your AL is Abuja or any of the northern states, then you should write to Lagos consulate office with attachment of your AL and also stating you want your interview at the Abuja German Embassy, then a date will be given to you for Abuja venue...
Las las we will ALL make it!!! This journey no easy at ALL but with GOD,it will surely end in praise!!!! This is good, but for the letter, some of us here have booked but no date yet, can we still write to the Lagos consulate and ask them to make our date and venue to be in Abuja? since we have not been given date, Abeg how una see em . God morning house. |

Deustchemann: Good morning Fam. I had a Skype interview this morning for Global Change Ecology at University of Bayreuth. My interviewer was a Prof, can't remember his name.
He asked questions from basic knowledge of ecology, Global warming, To environmental policies, Social and economic impacts of global change, What is biodiversity, Policies made by Nigerian government on global change. He also asked about atmospheric chemistry and its relation to ecosystem.
I observed that he uses statements /facts/words that I say from a previous question to frame the next question. So be prepared to further defend whatever you say.
Meanwhile, village people almost got me. I didn't notice that part of the mail that said 11:00 CEST, My mind was on 11am Nigerian time.. Only for him to message me by 10am when I was still digesting facts. Had to quickly clear table and get set.
He said result of the interview will be communicated in a few days. But didn't state when admission letter will be issued. Although their website says July. Congrats !! that’s actually the school I’ll be going to come October. I got admitted last week.( Faculty of literature and media Arts) |

Sedatylo: Yes your account has been opened but you still need to get your account details by performing some necessary things. Ie uploading your passport data page and taking the passport selfie If you have done that, they will verify ur passport and confirm you. After which they will send you the " Make the Transfer" pdf file which contains your account details Then you are good to go. If no, you will still need to go back and log in to your fintiba App and upload those things and wait for verification. Big thanks, I’ve uploaded the passport data page and the selfie one and is waiting for verification. |
