There is no consent letter whatsoever. Otherwise I don't know if the rule has change in the recent time. I will advise you to let him or her send you the list but all you need is photo of you and her as an evidence you have meet before, your passport data page, your address, you parent name and address of where you have stayed since last five years, including your work history.

ME: I came across a work by professor… which I found interesting me and sent her an email. She subsequently scheduled a zoom session with me. I was asked to apply after the interview, and I applied by submitting the required items.

VO: how did you come across her work? Did search about it or through other means. And I asked yes I searched for it.

VO: what question were you asked in the interview.

ME: she asked me questions concerning my research interests.

ME: I told her.

My advise is try another africa country like uganda, zimbabwe instead of rwanda. You can only be allowed to stays in rwanda if you set up a business, or schooling. You will need to have a standard office or shop which you will need to pay nothing less than 400,000rwf fr per month, sometime at start you may pay 2month or 3month upfront plus you must pay your tax for your business every month. You will need to equip your business as a proof you are serious and you are in rwanda for the purpose of business. You need to do those things before you apply for your residence permit. Immigration will come to check your office or shop to see and interview you then evaluate your business. If is not upto the standard of an investor ($2500 - $3000) and you must employ rwandes as your staff, at least as a secretary. With this, they may first give you 6month to watch your business. if your business will yield or improve and you are paying your tax every month before they can extend it for either for another 6month or 1year. Sometime it is hard for you to meet up because most business you can do someone is doing it already or you maybe competing with local which they dont encourage sometime. They like innovations. You will need reasonable amount of money to get stay in rwanda. Face your business, dont carry nija group join body they may koba o or destroy you. Your intention is different from others

Study route maybe the best option but you must also meet with there requirement. You will need to apply for standard university course either degree or postgraduate or master etc. They will not allowed vocational, training or diploma as a student.
That is the truth about rwanda, I will advise you not to partner with local except someone you know very well if not sorry maybe your case as your business can be taking over.
Rwanda is a good place but you need to meet up with their standard. I didnt blame them because of their standard as their leader choose to set up standard to developed their country. They wil not disturb you if you keep to their rules and you didn't corrupt their people expecially their woman. You can friend them they can be calm and beautiful but dont abuse they, they give woman more power than men. They love money, amafaranga, pesa pesa, money money. They know each African countries nature and characters.
Be more calm, dont show yourself, some nija who are there already may plan your downfall, rwandes are jealous. Keep it calm on low key

If you know, you cannot cope with those thing dont waste your hard earn resource better you used that money to buy land in a secure place in Nigeria or buy corolla and do uber than to waste your time and resource. If there is need for you to travel then try uganda, burundi, zimbabwe or do your own research. Those are the bitter truth some Nigerians who have pass through this route may not tell you. Rwanda no be nija way you go dey do gara gara, if you misbehave they will put you to where you will not like and their punishment no be small.

Only good for tourist visit. Dont go there for business, they may not approve your business plan and you must set up before approval and immigration will visit and rate your business. They are all looking for white to invest. Try uganda, you will not regret it.

Although, rwandans are friendly, their weather is nice very mountainous, if you like coffee you will enjoy the place, very clean and organised other side is, you must be careful most Rwandans are spy which l dont blame them because they dont want another war, every junction you go you will find police, is a police state, water is expensive, rain is scarce, house rent are very expensive.

If you, still like the place go for school route not business, this will help you alot to study the place while schooling, if you can cope yiu settle after your course. Dont go for short course or training, go for regular program. Like degress, master, phd that is cool, east african university, uni Rwanda etc. I just want to let people know what you about rwanda to avoid waste of time and resource. Many are on this thread that know the fact but difficult to say or tell the truth. Then be careful for fellow Nigerian, so cannot help they will spoil your plan, stay clear, look for other National like ugandan, zambian as your friend. Not all are bad but be vigilant.

In polytechnic you can study Marketing, Business Admin, Estate Management, Public Admin, Sec Study, Library and information,
Polytechnic need only 4credit including math and english

In University you can study Theology, Marketing, Business Admin, Business Education, Yoruba, because you have minimum 5credit including math and english

But if you want to study law or mass communication you need to rewrite and have at least credit in your literature, if you want to study political science you need at least credit in government, if you want to study Accounting you need to have at least credit in economics to combine with this result.

NCE : most social science course, humanity course will accept you.

The fact remains, the state runs the school now and we are all entitled to enjoy infrastructure from the state, it can be a baptist sch or a missionary sch. But so far it's now run by the state and not church, it's a government facility. Revenue from the state's citizens tax are used to maintain and run the school, so why don't you want the Muslim counterpart to share from their tax

Can you allow this to happen in ansarudeen islamic school, islamiya school and the rest.. to allow christian student to pray in the muslim school general assembly alone is a problem.. to allow Christian student to have a fellowship is an issues in all islamic schools across Nigeria. In most of Christian Missionary schools, you will see mosque that is not enough ? Untill you control the school you Christian school claiming state own all the school, Are they bearing government secondary school? Baptist school indicate missionary school and stop causing more harm to innocent students..

To all Christians in Kwara State, if you like vote for this type of governor again.. I have freedom of speech and l am entitle to my own opinion. In Saraki era you can never hear this kind of things. Everything was peaceful.. can you mention any meaningful thing this man has done in kwara since his inception ? He did nothing, as they say Saraki is bad and all of his lieutenant but they achieve so much during their tenor, they built so many industries infrastructures you see in kwara state today and encourage industries to spring-up : medical centre, primary health centers, Dangote flour, Tuyil pharmaceutical company, new stadium, built new central mosque in ilorin, built palace for first class obas and emirs, not to talk of roads.

what are the things present governor has done in kwara state than to cause unrest in a state of harmony. I am not a politician but a lover of peace and coexistence. Let your religion preach peace as they claim by character not by mouth/speech but by act. This is my submission.
