If u don't understand what a joke is, or ur sense of humor has flown out through the window or something, just get ur lousy ass off the thread and stop being such an idiot.

U were not forced to read or comment. The best u can do if u don't like the thread is to shut up and keep off. No need to be so bitchy.

Romance / Re: Funny Marriage Proposal by Keziah(f): 6:47pm On Mar 07, 2008
Sisikill:

"Look beyond HIS words and try to understand that proposing marriage is a scary thing", this is what some people are saying. Okay then, I guess it's safe to say, the poor girl, so overwhelmed by the idea of accepting his marriage proposal (Yeah, contrary to what some people think, the decision does not come easy for women either) blurted the first thing that came into her head (just like the guy when he said I've finally decided to marry you) so he should also look beyond her words and understand that what she really meant to say was  "Thank you, oh thank you for finally deciding to marry me, if you hadn't, come tomorrow morning, they would be dragging my dead body from bar beach"

Aisha2, in my haste to post my thoughts, I forgot to ask you to tell your friend, BRAVO. It's nice to see women who know her self-worth and won't fi ori gbe anything just for the sake of being married. If you don't mind, also tell her man that he is very LUCKY.

I also want to point out that men aren't the enemy here, women ARE there own worst enemies. It is truly the saddest thing.

Jeez girlfriend, i didn't know there are still ladies out there like you. After reading lot of replies from other ladies here, i have decided most ladies deserved being taken for a ride (use and dump). They are so worthless that men see them as toys. If u were a man, would u want a worthless woman for a wife, longtime? NAH if u ask me.

@sisikill
U are my girl anytime any day. Thumbs up. Your type helps us keep our heads up.

@aisha2
Keep the spirit up and ur head up higher. And say a big congrats 2 ur friend for me. She is one in a million. Knows her worth despite the odds.
Culture / Re: Are Expensive Funerals Necessary? by Keziah(f): 6:37pm On Mar 07, 2008
It's not just waste of money, but resources, time and energy!. Just imagine the money, time and space consumed in the name of burial ceremony in most cases.

Recently, my dad's mum died and i was told all family members, including extended family has to contribute for the grand burial ceremony. Imagine asking me to pay N20k and my younger siblings 15k. I was actually laughing my ass off when i was told, i just told them to add up everything and include it to my mum or dad's bill.

N20k my ass, for a burial ceremony, when the old woman didn't even know wether i am contributing a penny on her behalf.

Ajisafe please do not tempt me. I assume this forum is meant for intelligent people and not touts and bums.  I paid attention to all your comments, which were not more than insults to people u do not and i guess will never amount to.

And please u don't  have to be telling the world your mother's trade or the accidental discharge that produced u. I guess till now your mum is still regretting it, but please do not make her sorrier.

DO NOT TEMPT ME, B/COS I HAVE 0% TOLERANT FOR IDIOTS LIKE You.

You don't argue for the sake of arguing. In a forum we give way to Logical reasoning and common sense not who wins the argument.

Give up you are not making sense this time. grin

For people like you, I suggest you go back and do your homework. Read up on the law,the information you were actually provided with and then know the difference between your assumptions of the facts and then go to the front page of the thread and read the comments and then come back and repost and see things start making sense to you by then.
Thanks for the advice. But i don't reply to a post without reading from the beginning. I read all your comments and that of others from page 1- 7 b/4 i started replying.

I don't think i need a law before i use my common sense or logic to know that, stampeding on naira notes that are being sprayed to dancers will suffer wear and tear quicker than the ones that are being handled with care. I guess u have never heard the advert that says "handle the naira with care na our/your identity?"

It pisses me off when i go to my bank and i am being given dirty stinking naira notes to spend when one mischevious money-miss-road has hijacked the new ones just to spray at a owambe so that all the market women and co can dance on top to show they are enjoying life.

In my village, when the Big Boys in Town wants to show' they come out with the bank notes untouched and land the bunch on your head, that way u know Ego Has Landed. Not some old skool spraying naira notes on ur head. ; chei! angryD

Well,  for the umpteenth time, here is it is again,  When you Produce more durable notes, these notes will withstand more wear and tear and hence reduce frequency of reprinting.

Next time pack all your dollars and keep steping on them (stampeding) and please do it really roughly the way they do it when they are dancing. And when u are through just come back and tell us what it looks like undecided.

Then we will decide what is wrong or right. shocked sighs wear and tear ko, tear and wear ni.

Someone once said there is no higher form of education or technology than logic, or something close. The likes of Nuzo, 4-play, emiemi, and others have repeatedly stressed that fact that spraying the naira, and other forms of naira abuse are the ones Soludo is baning. But to my dismay i keep reading posts from Kobojunkie, and some  , , it beats my imagination as to why some claimed literates, keep on displaying their stupidity and ignorance or arrogance by beating around the bush when the truth is glaring.

Kobojunkie, i have always enjoyed your post and respected ur opinions but this one? Mba, u messed up big time, i guess u just want to win an argument by defiling all logic and common sense. And please stop comparing a Strip Club to a Nigerian Owambe, because there is really no comparism between the two.

As for the He-goat Ajisafe, i guess  your co touts are missing u at oshodi, or mushin right now. Desert the cybercafe you are using right now, because ur ignorance and ill manners stinks and i am afraid the stench is oozing to all Conner's of the earth. Whoops! i have to run b/4 i am contaminated.

Peace out!

@Lizzy4real

Have you gone to the Study Centre at Akoka, Yaba to collect your Bursary Pin Code? If yes, then you have to use that and the confirmation order you got from the bank or the bank teller issued to you when you purchase the form. With that you will be able to create a password that is only known to you.

But on the other hand if you have not got Bursary Pin Code from Akoka Study Centre, then you have to do that as soon as possible.

Cheers!

Thanks a bunch for the lecture. I have been hearing about Ogbanjes (abikus) for a long time without substantial proof to back up their weird belief.

I think you are right in your analysis. Where are all the Ogbanjes in the 21st Century? If you ask me, i think modernization has swept them all away. Just like all those weird old folklore our grannies used to tell us in those days. grin undecided

Former Federal Drug Agents Sue Over Their Depiction in Film "American Gangster"

NEW YORK (AP) -- A group of retired federal drug enforcement agents sued NBC Universal on Wednesday, saying the movie "American Gangster" falsely portrayed them as villains in the story of a Harlem heroin trafficker.

The suit, filed in federal court in Manhattan, claims that the movie defamed hundreds of DEA agents and New York City police officers by claiming at the end that Frank Lucas' collaboration with prosecutors "led to the convictions of three-quarters of New York City's Drug Enforcement Agency."

Denzel Washington acted Lucas in the film. You can find out more on:   http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/080116/american_gangster_lawsuit.html

Lol. The lesson she wants me to learn is obedience and submission to the male folks especially when i am married. She thinks i am just too free and independent in my decisions and behaviour. She want's me to be a BORN-AGAIN in all ways. Not the religious way but the traditional/local type, that way i'll be her dream come true.
