Business / Re: 9 Annoying Sets Of Nigerians You'd Meet At An ATM Queue by khalidqudus: 11:54am On Jun 18, 2016
How about those that come late and go straight to the second on the queue and say something like "can you pls help me withdraw" and before you answer they already tell you the amount and their ATM pin.

Or those who come to toast babe. They will approach any lady and start toasting but on the bright side you could learn how to woo a lady.

Events / Re: How To Get Food At A Nigerian Wedding by khalidqudus: 5:37pm On May 19, 2016
I attended a wedding once for my Pastor. So I was told to make sure the hall was fully clean and evacuated. while we were wrapping up I and my crew found a black bag under one of the tables full of take away food, drinks, cutleries and two hand blender and flask each, which I think was left behind by someone who was busy collecting; after all some of us got nothing. As the team leader they brought it to me and I did justice to it.

Politics / Re: NANS To Protest N145 Petrol Price Next Week by khalidqudus: 7:44pm On May 12, 2016
Let's start tomorrow... I support the protest. Nigerians voted them into power so why should they torment us with the power. APC be shouting fight corruption meanwhile its a decoy as the main plan is set rolling. You've been trying the so called past looters of government fund which is in no way benefitting Nigerians. Let's protest people, we have the power to influence their decisions.

Politics / Re: Proof Buhari's/APC Fuel Subsidy Is A Scam Planned Months Ago To Decieve Us by khalidqudus: 7:35pm On May 12, 2016
MrAboki:

Thats why he is the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.. Thanks for the Compliment.

Really!!

So a Government that is still less than a year in office would deliberately sabotage themselves just so they can remove a scheme (subsidy) that we all as Nigerians unanimously agree is corruption riddled, a drain on our economy and unsustainable.. Just to remove the subsidy.. OK! Continu..

technically speaking, I dont remember Jonathan or the PDP building a single refinery in the last 16 years.

Seriously!! President Muhammadu Buhari made Forex scarce.. grin grin grin Just to remove Subsidy.. grin grin grin

Na wah o!!

This Buhari that has no Certificate sure knows how to scheme and plot really well.. grin

Wait!! So are you saying Nigeria isnt Corrupt? or what exactly?

But lets Continu...

When people say provide Palliatives, I wonder what exactly they mean..

The same Palliatives allegedly provided by President Jonathan through the SURE.P Scheme? O!! By the way, where are the SURE.P Buses ad Palliatives? Cos I never saw them..

But its alright, lets Continu!

But it was actually not just about reversing the price, it was about properly investigating the fraud, fishing out the fraudsters, imprisoning the fraudsters, recovering as much loot as can be recovered, close up the loopholes in the system and then provide "palliatives" to cushion the initial shocking of jumping fuel price from 65 naira to 145 Naira..

But thats by the way.. Kontinu..

Is subsidy removal a bad thing or am I missing your point?

But Kontinu.

Wee You Keep Kwayeeet!! angry

Do you think Nigerians need reminding that they rely on Generator for Power? angry

But Continu.

If you live on the Mainland and work on the Island and spend 20 liters everyday to get to and fro Work.. DOES common sense not tell you to move closer to your place of work?

If your car uses 20 liters everyday to get you to and from work, you need to either change your engines or buy a more fuel efficient vehicle.

If you spend 87,000 Naira every Month on Fuel for your car 1,044,000.00 (One Million and Forty-four Thousand naira) per year.. The real question should be how did you get that job because you sound too stupid to even have passed Common Entrance let alone pass a job interview..

BUT please dont stop, CONTINU..

This your maths really get K-leg o.. But so also does all you have written.

10 liters per day = 1450 Naira per day.

1450 * 30days = 43,500/month

43,500 * 12 = 522,000/annum.

Yeah.. Okay?! So..................................

Okay.. Soooo?

O really!

Fuel price increased because they removed Subsidy.

NEPA bill increased because it was not profitable for Power to be supplied at the cost we were getting it initially.

Dollar rate increased because the price of oil fell to an all time low and Nigerias number one source of Forex was in Jeopardy.

Whatelese?

Yeah!! The freebies are over hommie.

No more subsidy on anything..

Since May 2016, the world has been struggling under the collapse of oil Prices. Russia,, Saudi, e.t.c all are struggling. Countries with Agriculture and other solid minerals as their export goods are doing fine.

Things are getting worse not because this government has destroyed anything, but because things have always been bad for sooooo longand this government is not interested in covering shiit up any more..

But CONTINU..

I am in Nigeria, I have been buying fuel for over 86 Naira for a very very very long time (even when there was no scarcity).

I have never had 24hours light and have bought over 6 Generators in my young adult life.

I have always had to drive on bad roads and spend a lot servicing my vehicles.

Dollar has been dropping for a long time even when Oil sales prices were at 120/barrel.

Nigerian Universities and even lower schools have been decaying for soooooooooooooooooooooo long that now its Normal.

Infrastructures have been going south for a very long long time.

The last refinery built in Nigeria is over 30 years old.

I have lived in a one track economy all my life, thats why as a kid growing up, all I wanted to be was a Petroleum Engineer.

We have always imported everything we used and ate.. From Chicken to Tomatoes to Cement to name it.

We have never been a producing or exporting nation. Thats why ships coming into our Sea ports are fuller than when they leave.

Corruption is nothing new to Nigerians. Thats why the pseudo-name for internet scam is 'The Nigerian Email Scam". The Nigerian Police whose 'Code of Conduct" rules makes it ILLEGAL to recieve any GIFT (I did not say bribe) from any individual (except its a very close relative), openly 'DEMAND" bribes from Nigerians in public.

The only thing that seems to be working in Nigeria is the telecoms sector and even that one sef na problem.

Abegi make I hear word.

And If indeed by some insane stroke of luck you happen to be right that President Buhari did all you alleged in your Post just to remove this cankerworm called subsidy from our system, then he is a very Intelligently cunning man and has my vote for a second term.

Alhaji Mallam Abokee

I think this guy is one of those that were planted on social media to support APC. You're defending them as though you benefit from doing so. Have you walked the street of Nigeria and see what's going on? I bet you don't. coming here and talking as though you know how a typical Nigerian is coping.

Dating And Meet-up Zone / 11 Ways To Treat A Woman Right by khalidqudus: 5:01pm On May 09, 2016
Treating a woman well requires a combination of common courtesy and uncommon acts of love and kindness. Follow the steps below, and soon your woman will see you for what you are: one of the good guys.

1. Communicate your feelings.
Some men underestimate the importance of telling a woman how they feel. In many cases, men prefer to use actions rather than words to communicate their feelings. If that sounds like you, you should know that women need to hear "I love you" from time to time, so make it a point to express that sentiment.

2. Be a good listener.
Everyone--not only women--wants to be heard. If you know how to listen, your woman will greatly appreciate it, and the bond between you two will grow.

3. Ask her how she's feeling.
In many cases, you'll know exactly how the woman in your life is feeling, but sometimes, especially when a relationship is new, you'll have to ask.

4. Be polite.
Women like to hear "please" and "thank you." Even if you've been dating a while or married a long time, don't throw manners out the window. Show her the same thoughtfulness you'd show anyone else.

5. Treat her family well.
Even if she says that she's not close with her family, always be respectful toward them and avoid criticizing them. Family bonds can be strong, and parents and siblings can influence a woman's decision to date or dump a guy.

6. Avoid Jealousy
Being jealous of male friends, co-workers and exes without good reason tells a woman that you consider her to be deceitful and of low moral character. Not a message you want to send to someone you care for. A lady needs to know that you trust her.

7. Help around the house.
If you are married it means you two live together, so pitch in on chores. Both of you are responsible for the housework. Don't expect her to constantly pick up after you. One of the surest ways to a woman's heart is with a vacuum cleaner in one hand and a box of laundry detergent in the other.

8. Acknowledge special occasions.
Be sure you're ready with a card and a gift when her birthday rolls around, or it's time to celebrate Christmas, Valentine's Day or a Wedding Anniversary. Marking these and other occasions with tokens of love and appreciation are a great way to make a woman feel special. Remember, too, that right or wrong, her family and friends will likely ask her what you got her or how the two of you celebrated. Don't put your woman on the spot by forcing her to lie or to admit that you let the occasion pass without recognition.

9. Understand that little things mean a lot.
While big romantic gestures may have their place, it's the little things that show a woman how much she means to you. Scratch out a quick note, send her a text or a Whatsapp message to let her know you're thinking of her. If she has a big day coming up. Send her a message of encouragement and support. Show her in some way each day that you're thinking of her and trying to make her life a bit easier and happier.

10. Give compliments.
Learn to always compliment your woman on her appearance. Dispel any insecurities by saying nice things about parts of her body she might feel less than great about or her outfit, and don't forget to compliment the things you find most attractive about her. Don't underestimate the impact of a simple "You look beautiful".

11. Pop the question.
If you love her, you're ready to settle down and you know she's the one, then make the commitment. If you plan to propose marriage, be sure you mean it. Buy a ring if you can, get on one knee and tell her that you can't imagine your life without her and ask if she'll do you the honor of becoming your wife.

Nairaland / General / One Of The Things You Often Hear Thats Not True by khalidqudus: 3:09am On Nov 14, 2013
A few days ago, while I was going out to get something, I heard two women discussing and one of them said ''even the bible says seeing is believing'' and the other one nodded in approval and immediately my hands were on my head in shock. She said it with conviction. And while I continued my journey, all I was thinking of was what the woman said. Many of God's children are misinformed or ignorant and this is why many are the way they are. SEEING IS NOT BELIEVING...SEEING IS KNOWING...and when you know you dont need to believe. The only man that said so in the bible is today referred to as ''doubting thomas'' and Jesus replied him saying ''because you see you belived, but blessed are those who do not see yet believe''. Choose to be informed: have the right information because your life is built on information.

Religion / Is Jesus Relevant In Our Day? by khalidqudus: 1:26am On Sep 25, 2013
Good morning Nairalanders, my topic was born of a deep thought on our world today and the role of Jesus in it. Do we need Jesus? What does it mean if I dont receive this Jesus?

Who is Jesus?
Jesus according to the bible; the only book through which we all got to know about God: He is the Son of God
Is it true?
Yes it is true
1. why is it that when you face any trouble and you shout Jesus or pray concerning any matter in the name of Jesus, there seem to be a spiritual intervention...so He is truly the Son of God.
2. When at night you sleep and something's trying or pressing you and you're trying to shout Jesus it seems to be difficult(I'll explain this in my other articles), if the name is not poowerful the devil wont try to keep you shut.

What relevance is He to us today?
In our world today where it seems like those who do spiritual stuffs are in charge and truly they are, what's His role? Those who are acquainted with Jesus seem to run to Church for protection when there is some spiritual forces after them but thats not why Jesus came; He came so we can be in charge. How?
Simple, first you have to be born again, secondly you need to have a bible to know who a christian really is and what have been given to him as benefits of being a christian, thirdly learn to use the name of Jesus ( devils and the realm of the spiritual conform to the will of those that use this name)
Thank you so much.
