tayoccu: it seem we still have a chance to sign melo:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/gossip_and_transfers/8141642.stm BREAKING NEWS: Juventus Complete Signing Of Felipe Melo - Report Juventus have completed the signing of Felipe Melo from Fiorentina, according to Tuttomercatoweb.com.
A deal was reported on Tuesday by Sky Sport Italia and it now seems that the Brazilian will be plying his trade in Turin next season, after signing a five-year deal worth €2.6 million per season.
Official confirmation is expected to arrive from both clubs this evening.
Juventus have paid €20 million plus the full ownership of winger Marco Marchionni, a deal worth €25m in total, the amount set as the player's release clause in a contract he just signed on June 30 with the Viola.
The 26-year-old had an impressive debut season for Fiorentina and was a pivotal figure in Brazil's triumph at the Confederations Cup this June. He was also linked with Arsenal, but the Serie A giants have beaten the Gunners to his signature.
The player has also featured for Almeria, Racing Santander, Mallorca, Gremio, Cruzeiro, and Flamengo during his career. |

EXCLUSIVE: Barcelona To Sign David Villa From Valencia https://i.media.goal.com/g/50379_news.jpgBarcelona and Valencia have reached a deal that will see David Villa move to Camp Nou and are expected to make an announcement soon, Goal.com has learned.
A source close to Camp Nou has revealed exclusively to this website that the Spanish international striker has had his wish granted and he will join the European champions this summer.
Negotiations have been ongoing between Barça and Valencia and the Catalan club's president Joan Laporta even revealed that a bid had been made during a television interview on Wednesday evening.
Now Goal.com has been told that a deal has been struck and that Villa will be a Barcelona player, although no details of the fee or any of the Blaugrana's squad going in the other direction was divulged.
Laporta suggested that a offer of over €40million had been made and that, allied with los Che's new chief Vicente Soriano's promise to let the player go this year, has meant the treble winners have their man.
The arrival of Villa could speed up the departure of Samuel Eto'o, with both Manchester United and Manchester City linked with the Cameroonian striker, who was Barca's top league scorer last term.
Real Madrid opted not to pursue Villa after being told that he was not for sale and instead forked out a fee of up to €41million to sign Karim Benzema from Olympique Lyonnais. FUTURE TV no dey lie |

Gabriel Obertan Joins Manchester United Manchester United have secured the services of promising Girondins de Bordeaux winger Gabriel Obertan on a four year deal after the French 20-year-old agreed personal terms and passed his medical.
Obertan becomes Sir Alex Ferguson's third summer signing, and the iron-willed Scot has claimed that the burgeoning forward is a player who he has been scouting for a number of years.
The player, who has received international caps at Under-16, U-17, U-18, U-19, and U-21 level, also expressed his delight at sealing a move to the Premier League champions.
Regarding the coup, Ferguson told the club's official website, "Gabriel is a player we have tracked for a few years now, but because of his educational programme our efforts to get him here have always been delayed.
"We are delighted to get him now as he is an exciting prospect. We like to get young players and develop them, and we will see that in Gabriel over the next two years," he said.
Obertan added, "I am very happy to join Manchester United. This is a big opportunity for me to play at such a great club. I am very excited to be here and I look forward to proving what I can do."
Obertan, however, has joined the Old Trafford outfit with a slight injury, and will therefore be omitted from the club's immediate pre-season preparations. His transfer fee is yet to be disclosed. |

Barcelona Confident Of Signing Filipe Luis From Deportivo For €9m - Report https://i.media.goal.com/g/24362_news.jpgBarcelona have reportedly made an improved bid to Deportivo La Coruna to secure the services of left-back Filipe Luis.
‘El Tricampeon’ had supposedly lodged an €8 million bid early yesterday which was turned down by the Galicians, but according to Sport, the Catalan giants have just made an improved proposal of €9m and are hoping to tempt Depor president Cesar Lendoiro by offering him a lump-sum cash payment.
The Barcelona-based journal believes that this latest bid will be sufficient and a deal could be closed later today (Wednesday). If it doesn’t, however, negotiations could come to an end completely as Filipe’s agent, Juan Figer, has already warned that an agreement must be reached today or the player will resume pre-season training with SuperDepor.
The Blanquiazules had already agreed to lower their asking price from the original buy-out clause of €20m to €14m, but Barca had been reluctant to go over €8m. |

Gabriel Obertan Has Medical At Manchester United - ReportManchester United are apparetnyl closing in on a £3 million deal for Girondins de Bordeaux winger Gabriel Obertan.
Sky Sports report that the 20-year-old is believed to have undertaken a medical in Manchester and could secure a move to the Premier League champions shortly.
Sir Alex Ferguson has acted quickly and has nullified reported interest from Arsenal, Inter and AC Milan, as the France Under-21 International has reportedly agreed terms on a four-year-deal to join up with United.
Bordeaux manager, former Manchester United defender Laurent Blanc, recently admitted he was surprised by United's approach after poor performances led to him sending Obertan on loan to FC Lorient for the second half of last season.
"I was surprised too, but it is an unexpected chance for him to play with one of the best clubs in the world," he told Europe1
"He has the potential, but he must overcome psychological and mental challenges so he can express his true value."
Obertan has just be named Most Valuable Player at the Toulon international youth tournament, in which his French side finished second to Chilie. |
