Islam for Muslims / Re: Belief In The Hereafter (A must read for all Muslims) by Khed: 3:19pm On Feb 14, 2020
Everytime I read about the grave and the hereafter, my heart trembling and also crying for Allah's forgiveness. May Allah (SWT) forgives us all because HE's oft-forgiver and Most merciful Allah.

Truly, reminder benefits the believers.

Jazakumllahu Khairan brother for the reminder.

Religion / "Maraji Is Right, Yeshua And Not Jesus" Is The Only Way To God - Reno Omokri by Khed: 4:54pm On Aug 13, 2019
Reno Omokri has weighed in on the controversy generated from the statement Instagram influencer, Maraji, made yesterday August 12th.

Maraji in a post shared on her IG page, stated that Jesus is the only way to heaven. She received a lot of backlash from many Nigerians who believed she was attempting to dismiss other religions, particularly the Muslims who are currently celebrating Eid Kabir.

Reacting via his IG page, Reno said that Maraji is partly right. He pointed out that the only way to God is Yeshua and not Jesus that is popularly known in the Christian faith. Reno says his research has shown that the original name for the son of God who came down to die for Christians was named Yeshua but was changed to Jesus by Europeans that had occult agenda.

you better shut up because you are the bigot here. Islam is the only reason BUHARI is Nigeria's president.

COMMOM SENSE is not a gift, its a PUNISHMENT. Because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

Abeg, carry your tribalistic fvcked up religion far away from Nairaland where reasonable people meet to discuss better issues.

And I can see that common sense is far way from you. You can have one by taking this drug (SENSELLIN)

Here's your prescription, Take two tablets in the morning and two in the night.

You go dey alright las las, doo ehnn.

90% of people who voted for Bubu are Moslems and the only reason they voted for him is because of Islam! From Northern Moslems to Yoruba Moslems! Remove SS/SE from Nigeria and you get a fully islamized country! Infact if SS/SE leaves today, by tomorrow Sharia will be declared throughout the country and Sunday will be a working day!

See Mumuish talk now.

And is Atiku a Southerner Christian?

This ipob people self won't cease to amaze person sef.

Grow up man. Don't always be religious bigot and tribalistic simultaneously.

The different is almost 4m votes, Atiku why did you allow yourself to be supported with a failure ipob. Infact GEJ gave PMB some run, 2.5m votes in 2015 general election.

if there was no military meddling in our elections, we won’t be here talking about fake soldiers.

All those advising the dullard to take power by force, won’t be there when the international hammer starts descending on the frail bigot.

Buhari must handover a peaceful Nigeria to Atiku, and maybe his atrocities might just be forgiven but never forgotten.

Why are you talking like this? Who introduced Military to Electioneering process? Was is it not your pdp's god (OBJ). Think before you talk now?

Politics / CORRUPTION TRAVEL BAN: Dasuki, Amosu, Yuguda, 45 Others Top Travel Ban List by Khed: 9:09am On Oct 14, 2018
A former National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd), 13 former governors and seven ex- ministers have been barred from travelling out of the country under Executive Order 6 (EO6) issued yesterday by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The restriction followed the judicial affirmation of the constitutionality and legality of the Executive Order 6 (EO6).
The watch-list and restriction were put in place pending the conclusion of the cases against those affected.
Also on the watch list seen last night by The Nation are: ex-governors Saminu Turaki (Jigawa), Murtala Nyako (Adamawa), Adebayo Alao-Akala (Oyo), Gabriel Suswam (Benue), Rasheed Ladoja (Oyo), Orji Uzor Kalu (Abia), Danjuma Goje (Gombe), Attahiru Bafarawa (Sokoto), Muazu Babangida Aliyu (Niger); Chimaroke Nnamani (Enugu); Sule Lamido (Jigawa); Gbenga Daniel (Ogun); and Ibrahim Shehu Shema (Katsina).
The ex-ministers are Nenadi Usman, Bashir Yuguda, Jumoke Akinjide; Bala Mohammed; Abba Moro; Femi Fani-Kayode; and Ahmadu Fintiri.
Others include a former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshal Alex Badeh; ex- Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral A. D. Jibrin; a former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Mohammed Dikko Umar; a former Inspector-General of Police, Sunday Ehindero; and a former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Adesola Amosu; Chairman Emeritus of AIT/ Raypower, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi; Waripamowei Dudafa (a former Special Assistant (Domestic) to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan); a former Chief Judge of Enugu State, Justice Innocent Umezulike; a former judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia;
Also on the list are a former National Publicity Secretary of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh; Chief Jide Omokore; Ricky Tarfa; and Dele Belgore (SAN).
Most of the affected persons are currently facing trial for alleged corrupt practices in different courts.
The list was generated from cases and proceedings filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), the Nigeria Police, and 17 other agencies.
The document indicated that many of those affected had earlier been placed on similar legal restrictions by the courts and security agencies including restriction of movement, seizure of passport, temporary forfeiture of assets, freezing of accounts and others.
Explaining the government’s action in a statement yesterday, Senior Special Assistant to the President (Media & Publicity), Mallam Garba Shehu said: “Following the instant judicial affirmation of the constitutionality and legality of the Executive Order 6 (EO6), President Muhammadu Buhari has mandated the Attorney-General of the Federation and the Minister of Justice to implement the Order in full force.
“To this end, a number of enforcement procedures are currently in place by which the Nigeria Immigration Service and other security agencies have placed no fewer than 50 high profile persons directly affected by EO6 on watch-list and restricted them from leaving the country pending the determination of their cases.
“Also, the financial transactions of these persons of interest are being monitored by the relevant agencies to ensure that the assets are not dissipated and such persons do not interfere with, nor howsoever corrupt the investigation and litigation processes.
“It is instructive to note that EO6 was specifically directed to relevant law enforcement agencies to ensure that all assets within a minimum value of N50 million or equivalent, subject to investigation or litigation are protected from dissipation by employing all available lawful means, pending the final determination of any corruption-related matter.
“The Buhari administration reassures all well-meaning and patriotic Nigerians of its commitment to the fight against corruption, in accordance with the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and the general principles of the Rule of Law.
“Accordingly, this administration will uphold the rule of law in all its actions and the right of citizens would be protected as guaranteed by the Constitution.
“We, therefore, enjoin all Nigerians to cooperate with the law enforcement authorities towards ensuring a successful implementation of the Executive Order 6 which is a paradigm-changing policy of the Federal Government in the fight against corruption.”
A top government official, who spoke in confidence, said there is no cause for alarm on E06.
The source said: “The ban is not different from the conditions given by the court in granting these accused persons bail. The E06 is like a codification of steps to prevent those on trial for alleged corrupt practices from tampering with assets.
“Some of these accused persons used to go to court for permission before they can travel out of the country. The E06 is not a new thing but instead of all agencies working at cross-purposes, a list was generated and backed with the Executive Order.
“Some of those on trial, especially the Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) had been selling their assets. What will they return after being convicted?”

Politics / Fayose Takes Fayemi's Wife Round Government House (photo). by Khed: 6:57pm On Oct 13, 2018
Governor Ayo Fayose is rounding off affairs in Ekiti state, where he had reigned for four years.

As the hours ticked for a handover to Governor-elect Kayode Fayemi on 16 October, Fayose has stepped up the handing over rites.

He will not be attending Fayemi’s second inauguration as governor as he has an appointment with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, but he has handed over the instrument of office to the Head of Service, Dr. Gbenga Faseluka.

Today, however, he took wife of the incoming governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, on a tour of the Government House in Ado Ekiti, which he does not plan, as he tweeted to hand over to Fayemi, but again to the Head of Service.
Politics / Kwankwaso Threatens To Leave PDP by Khed: 6:09am On Oct 11, 2018
Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso has threatened to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) if the leadership of the party in Abuja removed any member of the Kwankwasiyya movement from the list of its aspirants.

Recall that Kwankwaso had held primaries for various elective offices in Kano which were allegedly won by his chosen aspirants, leaving aside other PDP members.

A source within the party confided to Daily Trust yesterday that the former governor sounded the warning of leaving the party during a meeting held at Legacy House, Abuja.

The meeting, which commenced at 3pm and ended around 5pm, was attended by many PDP stakeholders including Bello Hayatu Gwarzo and Ambassador Aminu Wali among others.

According to the source, the meeting was organised to review the list of aspirants from Kano State.
The Senator Mas’ud El-Jibril Doguwa-led faction of the PDP had also conducted its primaries where candidates emerged for various offices.

It was gathered that in order to have a unified house, the Prince Uche Secondus-led National Working Committee (NWC) brought together all the contending factions with a view to having a win-win situation.

The source said, “Kwankwaso told the gathering that any move to remove any member of Kwankwasiyya from the aspirants list will lead to his defection from PDP.

“However, the Doguwa-led faction also threatened to dump the party if the leadership failed to review the list of aspirants.

The meeting ended in a deadlock…Neither Kwankwaso nor Doguwa faction agreed to accept the terms offered by the leadership of the party,” the source said.

According to him, the leadership of the party in its effort to reconcile the aggrieved members, resolved that the national and state assemblies slots be shared 50-50 between the Kwankwaso and Doguwa factions of the party.

He added that when the meeting reached its peak with no sign of success, the party’s presidential flag bearer and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, sent a former minister of Aviation, Mr Osita Benjamin Chidoka, to intervene on his behalf.

He, however, said the former minister also failed to reconcile the contending factions and the meeting ended without yielding any positive result.

Asked to comment on development, the Public Relations Officer of Doguwa faction of the PDP, Alhaji Musa Danbirni, said he was not aware of the said meeting. “I am not among the people that went to Abuja because I fell sick and I am still at home. So I don’t know what exactly transpired in Abuja.”

The spokesman of Kwankwaso faction of the party, Jamilu Dambatta could not be reached for comment at the time of filing this report. On her part, Kwankwaso’s spokesperson, Hajiya Binta Spikin said she was not in Abuja. “It will be wrong for me to talk about party matters; the people that should talk on this are party officials,” she said.

Contacted, a strong pillar of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Aminu Abdulsalam, said he was not aware of the meeting.

Abdulsalam said, “The party’s chairmen, secretaries and other stakeholders were taken to Abuja by a different group with the sole aim of conducting a fresh primary election but to be honest with, the National Vice Chairman (North) told them that he has no mandate to do so.

“He told them it is beyond his powers to hold a meeting with them and he asked them to go back to Kano and await further instruction from the party’s national leadership. That is all I know about this issue,” he said.

Religion / Fake Prophecy? That The Name Of Next President Of Nigeria Starts From ‘s’ by Khed: 12:06pm On Oct 09, 2018
FAKE PROPHECY? See A Throwback Video Of A Popular PROPHET Who Prophesied That The Name Of Next PRESIDENT Of Nigeria Starts From ‘S’

In a live service at his South Africa Church, the Freedom for all Nation Outreach General Overseer, South African Based Nigerian Prophet, Samuel Akinbodunse dropped the prophecy about Nigeria and 2019 election and said that next President of Nigeria is a youth and his name starts from ‘S’.

And now that most of the party in Nigeria have conducted their Primaries and candidates have emerged to contest for the office of Nigeria’s president come 2019, only 47 year old Sowore Omoyele remains the only ‘youth’ whose name starts from ‘S’. Social media however believes that it may also be ‘Sai Buhari’ or ‘Sai Atiku’.

Politics / No Escape: APC Insists No Hiding Place For Fayose Even If He Joins Party by Khed: 7:07am On Oct 09, 2018
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday said Governor Ayo Fayose will not escape prosecution even if he joins the party at the expiration of his tenure.

Reacting to Fayose’s statement that he may soon quit the PDP, Yekini Nabena, APC’s National Publicity Secretary, said the outgoing governor of Ekiti State will be making a grave mistake if he thinks defecting to the ruling party will shield him from prosecution if found guilty.

“Nigerians know that this is a progressive party. No matter what, if found guilty, he will be dealt with according to the dictates of the law.

“It is wishful thinking for anyone to believe that joining APC will shield him from prosecution if found guilty. Whether he likes he can join APC, SDP or any other political party, the law will take its course. It is only under APC government that high ranking people have gone to jail.

“So, if Fayose likes let him come, the law will still catch up with him if found guilty. Tell Nigerians and the world, that even if Fayose comes to APC, the law will catch up with him if found guilty,” he said.

Fayose who some are putting forward as a possible vice president has threatened to leave the Peoples Democratic Party.

The threat by Fayose is coming on the heels the National Convention held on Saturday in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State.

The governor hinted the Punch correspondent on Monday that he would renounce his “membership of the PDP anytime from now.”

He added, “After consultations, I will speak clearly to Nigerians.”

A former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, was declared the winner of the party’s presidential primary, defeating the Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, Senate President Bukola Saraki, and eight others.

It is believed that Fayose is in the camp of River State governor, Nyesom Wike, who was also in opposition to the emergence of the former Vice President as the party’s candidate.

Already, reports are linking Fayose with a move to the APC in the coming weeks; a move that will come as a rude shock to political observers in the country.

Before now, Fayose, has said he cannot join the All Progressives Congress (APC), even if he has to leave his current party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Fayose
Fayose said the practice of use and dump adopted by the leadership of the APC would not allow him to contemplate defecting to the party.

Fayose cited the case of a national leader of the APC, Senator Bola Tinubu, who worked tooth and nail for the victory of the party in the 2015 general elections in the country and who was subsequently abandoned by those he helped to put in power.

Romance / Re: Oxford Student Lulu Jemimah Gets Married To Herself by Khed: 6:48am On Oct 09, 2018

Romance / Oxford Student Lulu Jemimah Gets Married To Herself by Khed: 6:30am On Oct 09, 2018
32-year-old Lulu Jemimah, an Oxfordstudent who was tired of being asked when she was getting married, married herself in front of 30 guests as witnesses.

The Oxford student who got fed-up of her family pressuring her on settling down with the right man, decided to stage a mock wedding and sent formal invites out to her nearest and dearest. Lulu Jemimah who said marriage is the last thing on her mind, spent just £2 for her taxi to the venue, and she got other things for free or as gifts from friends.

The lady who walked through the venue to the traditional wedding march and even gave a speech to her guests explaining the lack of a groom, admitted that her Ugandan parents are baffled by her decision – but said she feels it was the perfect commitment to herself and her studies.

The Oxford student who is having her masters in creative writing at the prestigious university, said;

‘I have a strong passion in life and I am committed to achieving my goals at becoming an academic.

‘But all my family wanted to ask me was when I planned to get married – which is very important back in Uganda – followed by when I would be having children and starting a family.

‘My father wrote my wedding speech when I turned 16. Every birthday my mother prayed for me and in recent years this has included a plea for a good husband.

‘But I just didn’t want to think about walking up the aisle. It’s not the thing which keeps me up at night.’

Lulu who previously worked as a freelance journalist and a communications consultant for the International Organisation for Migration, received a BA Media (film) scholarship from Macquarie University in Australia in 2013. However after her first degree, she turned her attention to the UK and applied to Oxford University to do a masters, which she started in August 2017. However in spite of her success, all her parents could think about when she was going to get a boyfriend and tie the knot, she claims.

According to the lady, in spite of her achievement all her family could think of was a husband or a boyfriend. She further disclosed that she returned home to Uganda for her birthday in August and was planning a ‘low key’ celebration, until friends convinced her otherwise.

‘One of my closest friends Karin reminded me that I had a lot to celebrate this year like getting into Oxford and I joked that I would show up in a wedding dress,’ she said.

‘We had been talking about this marriage pressure and she loved the idea so much that she offered to get me the wedding gown.

‘Then I decided, you know what weddings seem so important here – I will marry myself.’

A friend who works as a web designer made and printed her invites, and her friend paid to hire her dress, while her brother baked her cake. A friend did Lulu’s makeup in the loos at the venue, and the bar owner – also a friend – played the wedding march as she exited the toilets and walked into the venue.

[As soon as] I sent these out I immediately received phone calls asking who the groom was. I told people it was a surprise.

‘It’s shocking the price of wedding gowns in Uganda but when I told them I was marrying myself they offered to find me their cheapest dress.

‘I did feel a bit crazy trying on the dress and explaining that I was marrying myself. There was a kind of dismissive tolerance from the girls in the bridal shop.

‘I had to leave an ID card behind and when they saw my Oxford university card they screamed and were so impressed. I tried a few on and I almost cried.

‘It really is a special moment and I understood more than I had the excitement around weddings.’

‘I then spent a few minutes talking to friends and awkwardly explaining that there was no groom – most of them knew by this point,’ she said.

‘I was extremely happy,’ she said. ‘So many friends showed up, as well as international and local journalists, film directors and feminist entrepreneurs.

‘Marriage is an expression of love and commitment, however for many people back home, it is still considered the only way to guarantee a woman’s financial security.’

‘I had worried about coming off as stupid but to have such a strong intellectual group of friends behind the idea, that was all the validation I needed for the choices I have made.’

Her parents didn’t attend the big day but the Oxford student did go and see her mother to explain her choice.

‘When we talked the next day she was a bit confused and slightly hurt, but explained that by even wearing a wedding dress it proved I was ready for marriage,’ she said.

‘My father still maintains that he doesn’t know what to say.’

Crime / CAN Pampering Christian Terrorists – Muslim Group Explodes by Khed: 9:02pm On Oct 03, 2018
The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has accused the President, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Samson Ayokunle, of defending Berom Christians over the Dura-Du pond incident.

The body spoke in reaction to Ayokunle’s comment after the car of a missing retired general, Idris Alkali, was found at the bottom of the pond by the army.

In a press statement signed by its director, Professor Ishaq Akintola, MURIC on Wednesday, said CAN president failed to condemn “Berom Christian terrorists”, who it alleged knew about how the car submerged.

It reads: “Why can’t CAN condemn Berom terrorists the same way that Muslims condemned Boko Haram? Nigerian Muslims washed their hands off Boko Haram terrorists even when they attacked Christians. We did not wait until they attacked Muslims before condemning them.

“But CAN president wants to pamper Berom Christian terrorists even when it is evident that they have been responsible for the killing of hundreds of their Muslim neighbours and other Muslims and Fulanis who were mere travelers passing through the axis.

“Nigerian security agencies were able to encircle Boko Haram terrorists and they were able to restrict their activities to a small area within Borno because Nigerian Muslims wasted no time in denouncing and disowning them. For failing to condemn Berom terrorists, CAN president may be nurturing a killing machine. Berom terrorists are capable of growing into a more vicious terrorist group whose deadly tentacles will spread to all nooks and cranies of Nigeria.

“CAN president is joining forces with Berom women who protested that soldiers should not come near the pond. The women lied that it was their only source of drinking water when there are more than thirty similar ponds around the vicinity. When that failed to stop the soldiers, they tried the superstition angle claiming that strange deaths would start to occur in the community if the pond was drained but this is a community of Christians, not one filled with idol worshippers.

“What has CAN president said about the missing general? What has he to say about the general’s car that was found right at the bottom of the same pond where the wives of terrorists protested deceptively? What of the other four cars that were found inside the same pond? What do the findings mean to him?

“Furthermore, Ayodele was quick to condemn the action of security agents but found it difficult to condemn the Berom Christian terrorists who perpetrated the atrocity. It is double standard of the highest order. We are stupefied.

“To add salt to injury, CAN president referred to the missing general as “a missing ex-soldier”. That is an unforgivable understatement. Ayokunle should know that General Alkali (rtd) is more than an ordinary ex-soldier. This is a whole army general for crying out loud and he dismisses him as “a missing ex-soldier”. General Alkali was the Chief of Administration in the Nigerian Army up till the time of his retirement. We take exception to this attempt to trivialize the issue.

“Afterall, we know how CAN regularly mobilizes retired Christian army officers to intimidate the entire nation. While we find no need to do the same thing with retired Muslim officers, we are worried that the CAN president attempted to equate the general with an ordinary recruit.

“Berom community has taken on Nigerian Muslims. They stop vehicles on the highways, pull out Fulanis and Muslims in such vehicles and kill them. Their vehicles are dumped in the ponds. Another 18-seater bus was found at the bottom of the Dura-Du pond yesterday. Anybody can guess the whereabouts of the occupants. There is no gainsaying at this point that Nigerian Muslims need protection from Berom Christian cannibals.”

Politics / Why I Dumped Ambode – Tinubu by Khed: 12:25pm On Oct 03, 2018
Ex-Lagos State governor and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, yesterday, further explained why he dumped Governor Akinwunmi Ambode for the party’s preferred choice, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Speaking shortly after voting at Ward C, Ikeja council, when he had participated in the Lagos APC governorship primary, Tinubu who acknowledge that Ambode has done well in office, was however quick to add that the party preferred his challenger because the governor lacks “character.”

Tinubu, who insisted his withdrawal of support for Ambode was not personal, further said “this is an elixir for the general election. Ambode Akin, he’s doing well, yes; he hasn’t been a good party man; not only the glamour, not only about brick and mortar. A talent is determined by character. For you to become an influential person, you have to respond to the yearnings of the people. This is politics; democracy, one man, one vote.”

The ex-Lagos governor also noted that, by his (Tinubu) action, he was only responding to the yearnings of the party supporters as a leader by acceding to their request not to anoint Ambode ahead of next year’s governorship election in the state.

He added that without followers, there can never be a leader, saying that should he decide to go against the wishes of the party members, he would have failed in his role as a leader.

“Who did I support in 2014? Ambode. Life is dynamic. It’s those who made me the leader of the structure in Lagos who said it was what they want. It’s only if you have followers that you’re a leader in democracy.

“If I look back and I don’t find them again; if I don’t respond to them, if I fail to accede to their request, I would have failed the leadership test.

“This is not personal; it is beyond me as a person. Every democratic constitution is preceded by ‘We, the people’. So, I had to submit myself to the wishes and the yearnings of our party,” Tinubu declared.

Politics / Read What Buhari Said After Meeting Pastor Kumuyi (photos) by Khed: 8:22am On Oct 02, 2018
President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday in Abuja said Nigerians must appreciate God for bringing everyone together.

The President stated this when he received the General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi, at the Presidential Villa.

He said: ”God did not make a mistake when he created over 250 different ethnic groups, and decided to put them in a place called Nigeria.

“We must appreciate God for bringing us together. He knows what he was doing. He didn’t make a mistake.”

While describing Nigeria as “a great country’’ endowed with human and natural resources, President said:

“We have challenges in trying to get people to understand us.

“With my experience as a governor, Minister of Petroleum, Head of State, Chairman of Petroleum Trust Fund, I thought I had seen it all, but Nigeria has a way of going at its own speed.

“My morale is raised by your visit. I very much appreciate it.’’

President Buhari recalled what he described as Pastor Kumuyi’s “intellectual achievements’’ as a scholar and university lecturer before going into full time ministry.

He added that he was “excited a great deal’’ for the General Superintendent’s acceptance of government’s invitation to preach the sermon at the country’s 58th independence anniversary.

“Thank you very much,’’ the President said.

In his remarks, Pastor Kumuyi, who leads one of the country’s largest Pentecostal churches, said it was an honour to be received by the President on a busy day as Oct. 1.

He expressed appreciation to the President for his tireless efforts toward transforming the country.

He said: ”Please remain focused and courageous and do what is right.

”Not everyone will support you publicly, but we are praying for you so that your tenure will be one of progress and prosperity for the country.’’

The General Superintendent was accompanied by his wife, Esther, and Pastor Samuel Afuwape.

Others on his entourage included Pastor Chike Onwuasoanya and Pastor Seyin Malomo, the Chaplain of Aso Villa Chapel.

Crime / Nigeria@58: IPOB Members Attack Christ Embassy Members Hoisting Flag In Asaba by Khed: 8:26pm On Oct 01, 2018
Suspected members of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, members in the early hours of Monday attacked Christ Embassy members hoisting Nigeria’s flag around Nnebisi road in Asaba, Delta State and set the flags ablaze.

The pro-Biafra elements, clad in red attires around Umuagu Quarters, sang war songs, and drummed in Igbo language after they had allegedly attacked the Nigerian flag hoisters.

Though no life was lost in the attack, the victims who claimed to be members of the Christ Embassy Church in Asaba sustained various degrees of injuries.

It was gathered that suspected IPOB members had on Sunday threatened that there will be no celebration of Independence Day in Asaba, adding that 58 years of Nigeria’s Independence was a waste and disaster, especially with the alleged high-handedness of President Muhammadu Buhari.

One of the attackers, James Udoh, who spoke to journalists, said: “I will not tell if we are Biafra or not, but what are we celebrating? Nigeria is a disaster, failed country, Buhari should resign now, and let us have a new president, we set the flags ablaze because Nigeria is not a country”.

Speaking on the development, the Police Commissioner in the state, Mustafa Muhammad confirmed to journalists that four of the suspected IPOB members were arrested, adding that they would be charged to court for taken laws into their hands.

He said: “upon interrogation, the suspects admitted they attacked the flag hoisters, it is strictly an offence, and they will be charged to court on completion of investigation.”

One of the victims, Dennis Nwani who spoke to journalists said: “every year at the Christ Embassy, we distribute bibles, hoist Nigeria’s flag of Green White Green, so we came to the area to share bibles and hoist the green white green flags of Nigeria when the suspects descended on us”.

Romance / 17 Reasons Some Kenyan Women Think Cucumbers Are Better Than Men by Khed: 4:31pm On Oct 01, 2018
Dear ladies can we please discuss why most women are buying into the unconventional yet popular cucumber trend.

So, as I was busy minding my business in a crowded matatu, my ears caught wind of a conversation between two ladies who kept giggling.

According to the two, men are so overrated. If you need some company, walk to the nearest grocery shop and buy yourself a big, fat and juicy cucumber. Yikes!

So my spidey senses also realised the ladies thought cucumbers could be whipped out anywhere and anytime.

Dear ladies can we please discuss why most women are buying into the unconventional yet popular cucumber trend.

According to them, the fruits were less dramatic and yielded to their every demand.

According to jokeindex, these are some of the reasons why some women prefer cucumbers to men:

1. The average cucumber is at least six inches long.

2. Cucumbers stay hard for a week.

3. A cucumber will not tell you size does not matter.

4. Cucumbers do not get too excited.

5. A cucumber never suffers from performance anxiety.

6. Cucumbers are easy to pick up.

7. You can handle cucumbers in a supermarket or anywhere else you damn well please.

8. Cucumbers will not write your name and number on men's room wall.

9. With a cucumber you can get a single room in a hotel.

10. A cucumber will always respect you in the morning.

11. If you can go to the movie with a cucumber and see the movie at a drive in you can stay in the front seat.

12. A cucumber can always wait until you get home.

13. A cucumber will not eat all the popcorn while watching a movie.

14. A cucumber is not as demanding as a man.

15. A cucumber will not ask you to get on top.

16. Cucumbers do not care whether you are a virgin.

17. Cucumbers will not sell you out or make fun of you for being a virgin.

Religion / Security Operatives Sack Worshippers From Church Service by Khed: 8:53am On Oct 01, 2018
The Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, Camp at Bishop Ajayi Crowther Primary school, Onitsha, Anambra State, is boiling as all manners of security operatives had in the early morning of Sunday, stormed the place, sacked the Anglican worshippers who came for the Sunday church service and locked the gate.

The Anglican faithful consequently, converged in front of the Vicarage close to the primary school, where they conducted the mass while being monitored by the security operatives that included, police, military, vigilante group and others. As the conduct of the mass lasted, the worshippers turned into prayer warriors praying God to intervene that their property was being taken away from them.

Addressing newsmen shortly after the church service, the Priest in charge (vicar, of the Bishop Ajayi Anglican Church who conducted the mass, Leonard Onwuzuruigbo, said, “we are here to have our normal church service today (Sunday) when the Chairman of Onitsha North Local Government Area, Hon. Patrick Agha Mba and security operatives blocked the gate to the school premises that we will not enter and brought us out saying that Governor Willie Obiano said we will not go into the place to worship. That is why we are outside conducting the mass.”

“Chairman of Onitsha North had earlier displaced us and put IDPs and said we should build a temporary structure for church service and we obeyed and were putting up the structure since he said that the IDPs will be in the classrooms but he later came and ordered that we should stop work and we stopped” he stated. He said: “Commissioner for Education, Prof. Kate Omenugha and the chairman of Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board, ASUBEB, Nze Emeka Olisa came and told us to stay in our normal place and worship that IDPs will be removed and put in another place (hall) we obeyed.

“Then the following day the Chairman of Onitsha North with others, demolished the structure and constructed fence. When we asked the Council chairman what was amiss he said that it was an order from the governor.“What I know is that this place is Bishop Crowther Memorial primary school. Bishop Ajayi Crowther was the founder of Anglican mission on East of the Niger and beyond and for 12 years we have been here worshipping.

“It is because IDPs are asked to be here and we agreed to stay with them that this problem rose. It is like there is an agenda, a script being operated or run from a religious body, catholic mission. They have written it before that they don’t want variant church beside the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity” the Vicar further said.

Also speaking, President of Gideon on the Niger,
Hon. Chuba Oranusi, told newsmen that, “we were invited to fellowship with the church but when we got here we found out that the place was under lock and key and that the priests and laity were not allowed to go into where they worship to worship. Faced with this situation we had to stay in the street not only it was under lock and key but as you can see there were trucks load of policemen, Ocha Brigade and they brought in some vigilante and military to booster security presence here.

“As far as I am concerned it is clear intimidation. We have handed over the situation to God; the God we worship is a living God. Even if the state Government is acquiring land, it is acquiring it for the overall interest of the general public but not parochial interest. There is freedom of worship as enshrined in the constitution of Nigeria. No matter how highly placed no man will stop one from his way of worship.
“Going to court may be one of the options we may consider. Remove rule of law we find tyranny and anarchy, God forbids “, he stated.
As at the time of filing this story the security operatives were seen surrounding the entire place and imposing sign post installed in strategic positions read, “This property belongs to the state Government”.

Politics / NYSC Saga: Shittu ‘exposes’ Ajimobi, Says He Also Skipped The Scheme by Khed: 9:45pm On Sep 30, 2018
Following his disqualification from the Oyo gubernatorial race by the All Progressives Congress (APC) for skipping NYSC, Communications Minister, Adebayo Shittu, has claimed Governor Abiola Ajimobi equally skipped the mandatory national youth service scheme.

The ruling APC had on Friday disqualified Shittu from the Oyo governorship race after the minister admitted that he deliberately skipped NYSC because he felt his membership of the Oyo House of Assembly after he graduated from the university had served as national youth service.

But in a revelation he made on Channels Television flagship programme “Politics Today” on Sunday, Shittu said Ajimobi, who recently indicated that he would be running for senate after his tenure as governor, allegedly does not have NYSC certificate.

The minister said the NYSC saga over which he was disqualified was allegedly ochestrated by Governor Ajimobi to get him out of the race because the governor knows that he will jail him if he becomes governor of Oyo State.

He equally claimed to have petitioned the National Working Committee of the APC over his disqualification. He dedcribed the indirect governirship primary as an exercise in futility.

Shittu further stated on the programme that he has gone to court and that he believed he would get justice. The minister described his NYSC saga as a constitutional crisis that would be resolve by the court.

The fact that you know Oyetola came from the Yaba left of the state doesn't mean all people from there are like that. You can start by treating him first
Even ur godfather Tinubu is from there
Let them receive that treatment

I intentionally said so because I know you will come with this, though I didn't mean that. I was just been sarcastic about that statement.

When you know that new elected Governor is from your town why are you not happy for his victory and his party. but instead you are taken him down on social media. as Yoruba Adage "Ara ile eni lonseni"

Election has came and gone be Happy for your fellow man's success so that yours too will come to pass. don't be playing hide and seek game, though type of you might not vote for him but at last he won.

I tot you're from potopoto IPOB the PIG (Enemy of Nation) before now I know you're omo oduduwa

Peace be on to you bro.
