Touched ground at OR Tambo International Airport at about 3.30am on thursday. Thanks to RwandAir for the wonderful trip.

Point of entry:A woman immigration officer attended to me.She asked few questions as per where am I going and what brought me to SA.She also asked for my hotel reservation,Flight ticket and my Kpally.

I answered all questions she asked me and show her all documents she requested for. She told me to enjoy my vacation and I was cleared to enter to enter the country.

Observation/Experience: So far the country is nice with good structures and road network most especially the Sandton and Pretoria.

Security: SA government still need to beef up security in some part of the country as the crime rate is still rampant.

My appreciation goes to everyone in the house.

well said @udemzyudex. As a laptop technician, I prefer new motherboard for any interested client as long as I'm buying from few trusted sellers here in computer village. I hardly go for used one except if it's from a trusted technician because we all know the value of having such item for keep. what stops the person (technician)who wants to sell used motherboard from making a complete laptop out of it? that's the reservations I have for used motherboard. just be wise and do your mathematics very well. have a nice day.

My Hp EliteBook 2530p battery drains abruptly. The system hasn't been with me for up to two months. It started yesterday after I downloaded avast anti-virus software and PDF Reader into the system.

For the few times I've used the laptop, on full charge without browsing, it normally sustained me for more than 3 hr. More an hour when browsing. But since yesterday, when it's fully charged and charger unplugged, I could still use it normally and battery will still drain at the normal rate but can decide to go off at anytime whether it's still remaining 70%, 80%, etc.

If I power it on again the orange light will be blinking showing no battery and won't ON until the charger is connected. Then the following message will appear "HP BATTERY ALERT, The system has detected the storage capacity of the battery stated below to be very low. For optimal performance this battery may need to be replaced. Primary (internal) battery Error code 601"

Now, if it doesn't charge up to 100% before I remove the charger it will shut down. I tried to remove the battery and discharge the static from the system by pressing down the power switch then charge till the battery get to 100% but doesn't seem to work. What do I do?

@op... sometimes our gadgets shows different symptoms...
my advise is for to uninstall whatever you've installed earlier on it and try charging it may be it can miraculously pick up and if that didn't solve the problem, then consider changing the battery to original one... check my digits if you need further assistance. cheers.

One or two precautions must be adhere to when replacing a laptop's screen... 1. an Engineer must take out the battery ... 2. discharge the laptop static current... 3. make sure he doesn't wear any metal on the finger during the process... 4. avoid any screw falling on the Motherboard... 3. taping the clip of the Wi-Fi cable if it's not connected on the Wi-Fi card... etc. @op if the laptop powers and the screen is also ok then 5v needs to get to the screen (don't ask me how coz it's not your job)... if the laptop doesn't power then the MB is shortten... all these highlighted precautions are based on my years of experience so just take it to a competent Engineer. Peace.

I ran into this unprecedented problem last week. My laptop screen flickers seriously and sometimes you can't even see anything other than vertical lines of various colors. Sometimes the screen is divided into bands of different colours also with a greater part of it being black. The screen is as variously depicted in the images below. Please what is the cause and how can I get it solved?

@OP the issue here is much more than flex base on the display on the screen. Anytime you have vertical or horizontal line(s) across the screen definitely it is screen you consider first before moving on to flex. Take it a competent Engineer who will troubleshoot it properly.
