Hello guys, so my laptop turns off around 50%.. it's a new battery and I've barely used it for up to 2 weeks.. This issue started when i used my laptop battery to critical state: 1%, allowing it to turn off... I can't recalibrate battery because as soon as it reaches 50% it turns off... what are your thoughts on this? how do i solve this problem?

@Op... it's more of a settings issue which can be solve by going to the power options from your battery icon... then go to advance settings option and locate the battery icon. you should get it solved from there.

In addition to checking the RAM, remove the battery and try to power the laptop with NEPA or GEN since you mention in your post that it goes off after few seconds

try find your way to the device manager on your Laptop and do online update of the audio driver or Google search for the driver. download and install...

Good evening geeks, I have a little problem with my laptop, I was using an Omatek laptop (4gb Ram, 320hdd,1.70ghz processor but issues with the motherboard arose and I couldnt find a replacement or fix the motherboard, so I took it to a technician here in Awka and he advised me to buy a HP laptop from him at a cheap price and exchange d hardware, this was d same advice given to me at neighborhood in Abuja, I took the advice and got the HP, he changed the Ram to my 4gb Ram and the hard disk to my old 320gb and formatted it, and updated the drivers but he didn't remove my old files, my problem is that the new HP now slows down, it starts working well then slows down to the extent that I can't play movies or songs, I dont know whether it's a hardware or software fault, pls I need help asap, I'm thinking of changing the os to windows10.

@op... it could be hardware or software fault. you never mentioned what application programs you later installed after the engineer sold the Laptop to you. also the compatibility of the processor speed, hard drive and memory do not match. 1.7ghz... common it's too small to hold windows 10. Take it back to the engineer to check for you.

I have recently been having trouble with my laptop in which I can't have the computer not charging, or else it dies instantly, so I decided to look into a new battery. The first one I bought does not last so where can I get one that last . Even if it is an expensive one that works, I am willing, as I would hate to buy something that kills my laptop.
Could anyone please tell me a good brand for laptop batteries, especially for HP laptops?

@op... really, we have original batteries that goes for about 10k to 13k in the market and the common ones that do sell for 7k which is also okay for me. I do buy the 7k for my client and none of them has ever complained. meanwhile check you brightness settings and check if your cooling fan is always on.....call or WhatsApp my digits 08035844996 for tip's.

the best way to go about this is to tell people around you should they come across someone who wants to dispose any. Buying Laptop from end User like you could really help you to out but if you're looking elsewhere for solution, this could spell doom for the token you've budgeted for the Laptop. Hope you won't eventually buy "fufu". My little cent.

Discharge the static current by removing your battery and disconnect from source of power.Now place your finger on the power button for at least one minute to discharge the static current. After this,insert the battery with your power adapter connected to the Laptop and switch it on.
Note that some laptops of nowadays do behave funny such that when your battery is bad the Laptop goes blank. so try to troubleshoot this... for any other information call or WhatsApp my digit 08035844996.
