Oh my God I am so happy right now. After suffering epileptic power supply for weeks in my shop and petrol prices killing my business and daily take home.

I run a game shop in the Mosan area of Lagos and due to the hike in pms price I suffered no be small, customers will be playing game and suddenly generator will go off 2k fuel gone in 3 hrs. I cried in my mind, it became obvious in the way I acted towards customers, sometimes I would just be harsh, they won't understand but by the time I calculated the money at hand with money to buy fuel fir the next day, I see I have nothing to take home. I did research on alternative options for power aside petrol generator and even the inverter /solar option was just me paying money in advance and I no too get money like that.

What will I do, who will I run to, then i came across a post on YouTube I saw about gen running on gas, I was skeptical about it but when petrol showed me shege Pro max I had no choice but to switch.

Just this morning I finally installed the gas carburetor on my gen and it worked seamlessly, I swear i just can't wait to see how long it can work and how much I can save.

The adage that says what does not kill you makes you stronger does not have a right to play in this case simply because, Nigeria as in your fatherland is the weapon fashioned against you.

He chose to of all times on his inauguration day say that fuel subsidy is gone and the next day fuel scarcity enveloped the land the following week, the price for petrol went from 194 to 498. He has finished me, This alone has killed the projection I had for this business when I was starting up. Nigeria has not given me an opportunity that is did not strive to create for myself. Yet with policies they have killed us all. Who do we run to, I run a business that requires electricity constantly, when power fails as usual, I am obliged to put on the generator for my customers, but with the recent hike, I am unable to put on my Gen up into the night as I used to even during the day, when there is no light i pack up till the next day. Nigeria is worse that it had ever been, and at thus point I think its a curse maybe the land we possess is cursed hence this everyday bad news in the news. I hate this country with passion and I hope to have nothing to do with it soon enough. Every election period shows that we are not even one Nigeria we are so divided. So what is the fake smiling about, every tribe wants their own to be t the top level so it can favour them first. Nigeria can never never move forward it is stuck all thanks to the power thirsty military juntas that held us some years back.

Thank God i have other businesses running I'm able to charge without looking back whether customers play or not. Before the increments I wasn't able to charge a sensible amount but after it, i moved PS3 to 100 and 4 to 200. Last month alone I spent about 1.7 million on 7.5 inverter and lithium battery by the time I spend another 1 million on solar panels I would have nothing to do with nepa completely, same thing i will do at home.

Thank you for your response, the issue is gaming is like a leisure thing to do. One guy did that increment in my area and now his shop is as empty as a graveyard. Although I just moved to a new shop now, I think I will chill small and see how things are especially my type of customers, then I 2 months I will know what to do

Hi Nairalanders when I read this senator Ekweremadu and the whole kidney harvesting saga, I could not but see a vaccum waiting to be filled in the world, a space that has been void of an answer for so long, I mean a medical breakthrough that could create a generational wealth for who ever is able to invent it.
Just like the pace maker device for those with heart problems how about a device is invented that could do the functions of a failed kidney and once inserted the individual would get back on his feet in days, no need for spending so much on dialysis and so on.
A lightweight device that would be connected to the veins and arteries that are linked to the kidney and they are doing the work of the kidney without issues.
I am telling you if someone of such genius mind and means can come up with it and can back up his prototype, patent it and get licensed to produce on a commercial scale. He is bound to generational riches, the demand would be global and calls would come in everyday.

I intend moving from my old shop to a bigger shop, after starting this business just last year, I have grown significantly in this business and the old shop cannot contain my projection for the coming years so I have decided to move to a bigger place, I got a room and parlour kind of space with toilet and kitchen but I will use it for my game center due to it being positioned on the main road and the building itself was already rented for commercial activities, there Is bet9ja on the premises.
Now I want to know how to deal with power especially the area of power failure, I don't trust ups as it failed me in my old shop and I don't want to spend another money getting another set. So kindly suggest something that can work or maybe someone yiu know can help me work out a good reliable backup power so I don't lose my customers to power failure in this new place I am headed to.
