Chelsea will pay £5m penalty clause and Jadon returns to Manchester United, as @TheAthleticFC reports.
Story over between Sancho and #CFC, now ready for new move in the summer window Good riddance as well. |

[ @JacobSteinberg ] Even for 20million he should get lost. 12 straight game with zero goal and assist. Good riddance |

NinjaMetahuman: Nope.
I'm blaming Inter's attack for not winning 3-2 because goals actually win you games, not 0-0. That's the whole point of outscoring your opponent.
I'm particularly not interested in the defense vs. attack debate because both are equally important for having a balanced team.
But if I'm forced to pick, I will be leaning towards attack because it is more important in winning the league than defense. Napoli's success is just something out of luck; it's not like they are extraordinary. In a good season, Napoli wouldn't have won if Inter Milan had scored at least 90 goals. But then, Inter's attack is equally poor.
Lastly, I would prefer my team to win 2 games 5-4 rather than them drawing 5 games 0-0.
A 5-4 game is also more exciting than a 0-0 game. So inter was winning 2:1 till the 88th min then they conceded a late goal. Dropped 2 points. Conceded late to Napoli as well. Did the same to Genoa, Monza, Napoli, Milan and even Juve. Only a dishonest person would blame inter attack for those late goals conceded.

nihilistjnr: The 'strong defence and OK attack' of Napoli generated goal difference of +32. That is not just poorest attack for the last 20 scudetto winners, the goal difference itself is the lowest of any Serie A champions in the last 20 years.
Even in years where Scudetto champions had far better defence than Napoli, they still scored far more than Napoli, e.g Juve GA of 20 in 15/16 still managed to score 75.
Napoli's achievement was a fluke. 1/20 is not a pass mark to hang any argument on for any knowledgeable person. Then again, you were the same person that argued that Arrdee is a bigger artiste than Burnaboy so... Ok |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Kimbeast: 10:25am On Jun 02, 2025 |
NinjaMetahuman: Napoli could have actually lost the league if inter Milan outscored it's opponent in 37th game and didn't draw that game.
The league was in inter's hand and they threw it away with that draw. You are stylish blaming Inter defense for losing the league title. They were winning Lazio 2:1 up until the 88th minute when Pedro scored. Infact conceding late goals has been a constant theme for them this season. Late goals to Lazio, Milan twice (league and cup), Napoli, Monza, Genoa, Juventus. |

Amoto94: I know quite well that attack win you games and defense win you championships ( apologies to Fergie), I was only pointing out that using Napoli in the context Tim used it will only strengthen Air.mark's argument- he will simply retort that Napoli outscored their opponents You are still using schoolboy logic my gee. Napoli had a very strong defense and an ok attack that scored 56goals and it was enough to win the league title. It ridicules airhead ridiculous notion. |

Amoto94: We can even say that Napoli outscored their opponents in their wins, the argument is to outscore You and your schoolboy logic. When does having a strong defense mean don't score goals. Some of you are impossible. |

StarchAndBanga: Noni Madueke has been at Chelsea as a first team player for three years now. He scored 5 goals the season before and 7 goals this just concluded season( with 3 of his 7 goals coming in the 6 goals trashing of Wolves earlier in the season).
He is currently on a run of 12 games without a goal or an assist, that's the player u want to remain at Chelsea. Even as bench fodder he simply isn't good enough. So much for calling yourself a True Blue If Madueke remains in the team next season then the owners are not serious. |

AirBere: Prediction and actual reality was always going to be different nau lol.
If people think(predict) Madrid were going to win the UCL with the greatest coach in UCL history, best player in the world Mbape, best English midfielder since Lampard in Belingham with Balodor favourite Vini, why change that prediction in the middle of the season during argument and call them the worst Madrid side in the last 10 years Lmao. Madrid wey strong.
Real Madrid were the outright favourite and quite rightly so. I also predicted them to not only win laliga but dominate and at least reach the UCL final. I'm actually disappointed in what they were able to achieve this season.
For Xavi, what does it mean to compete financially with top teams? Isn't it funds to sign the best players in order to be able to compete?
Xavi spent the whole 2023/2024 season complaining about DM when Casado was already there after Busquet refused to stay. Flick came and used same Casado to flog Bayern, flog Madrid 4:0. The young lad even gave a wonderful assist in that game. He eventually lost his place to Dejong and later got injured.
Xavi had the tools, but complained too much.
Between Xavi and Flick, who will you recommend to coach Chelsea if you were the director of football here? I am certain no neutral predicted all these especially with Mbappe average performance in the Euros and Vini failing at the Copa. No one was calling Mbappe best player in the world when Spain with Yamal and others just won the Euros. The reality is Madrid underperformed this season just like City who were also considered favorite to win the league and go far in the champions league. Xavi statement was Barcelona cannot compete against top teams when it comes to signing players. That's all. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Kimbeast: 9:30pm On Jun 01, 2025 |
AirBere: Absolutely spot on. It's why nobody on this thread or anywhere else in the world can convince me otherwise about what happened between Barcelona and Real Madrid.
People predicted a dominant Madrid season after their super cup win on this thread, some gave them the UCL already because they have the greatest coach in UCL history, supposed bdor winner Vini, Belingham and of course the icing on the cake Mbape(best player in the world). The season started and they got whooped by Barca and barely made the top 24 in UCL and the story changed to the worst Madrid in the last 10 years lol. So whenever Barca wins, it's the worst Madrid but when Madrid win, it's deserved.
Flick worked miracles with literally the same players Xavi said won't be able to compete. With Xavi, they're not winning the league with Mabape on board, not happening. Prediction and actual reality is different. City were considered favourite to win the league this season yet had one of their worst season in recent years. United and Tottenham were tipped for top 4 finishes yet finished 15 and 17th. Point of correction Xavi said compete financial against top teams. Stop twisting his words. |
