DissTroy: Yes. Let's rewrite the Criminal Code tonight on Nairaland as long as it'd make us rationalize fraud music by Shalli-whatever. Smoking and promoting fraud are the same.
I mean, if Cynthia flirted with multiple guys, let's criminalize it in theory just to justify Bethy who's actually engaging in prostitution which is a crime.
Screw the Criminal Code! Write yours tonight on this thread, man. This defense of Shalli-whatever must be won at all costs, no?
Again, fraud music is fraud music. See? I still came round to the point. You are just dancing around. After goofing on how smoking illegal substance is not a crime you are now typing out of point. You made a post on people promoting artists which songs promote crimes. Something you are very much guilty of. No difference between fraud music and songs/music video promoting the taking of illegal substance. Both are promoting crimes and illegal vices.

Android17: Nonsense.
You guys are so bullish when discussing issues you don't even understand. City won fair and square and the EPLs 115 cases are just mere and poorly worded rehashes from the same UEFA case that CAS ruled in City's favor. City's only fine was for not cooperating with UEFA. City cooperated with CAS, ambushed UEFA with hard core and thorough evidence and bludgeoned them in the court of appeal. In fact, CAS concluded that had City presented the same evidence against UEFA before the initial ruling, they would have won the case.
Stop living in La la land. United just hired City's former COO to become their CEO. Hope you know it means even United have concluded City would win their case against the EPL. In case you did not know, Omar Berrada was signatory to most of the deals in question. If City are guilty, he would be too. QED.

DissTroy: Yes. Burna Boy, for most parts, sings about Nigerian socio-politico-economic issues. Smoking and seeming raunchiness aren't crimes. Oh! And he's got good lyrics too, including for introspection. That's why Fela is still great, never mind the smoking and philandering he indulged in. Those aren't crimes.
Fraud is a crime. Shalli-whatever sings about fraud. That's the difference.
Any other diversionary tactics? Stay on topic, man. Smoking illegal substance like Indian hemp and marijuana is a crime and promoting it on your songs and music videos for the youth to consume is also a crime. |

DissTroy: See, it is what it is.
This is not about shitting on any state. It's about calling out people who complain about Nigeria being bad and the crimes going on yet laud and promote artistes and works which glorify fraud and are daily anthems for fraudsters.
It's exactly how Naira Marley's movement started till his adherents got bolder.
Johnny Drille has been my best Nigerian artiste in the last 6 years. From the same state, not just for his quality of music but for his scandal-free easygoing lifestyle. I've stated this over the years. He's the only Nigerian artiste I follow on Twitter. So it's not about state of origin. Never mind that he's not topping charts or the rave like BNXN, Iyanya, Young Jon and a few others from my state. This isn't me shitting on another state. See how I can be honest to state something good about others regardless of their states of origin? Try that sometime.
Fraud music is fraud music whether it's your cousin or some stranger. But any intelligent person would know this. Shalli-whatever music is for a certain demography. You know this, I know this, we all know this. Deny all you want. You were literally promoting Burna boy few pages back who smokes Indian hemp and marijuana on his Instagram, music videos and songs. |

Now the closest thing he has to a competition is finally tired and practically "running away" from the league... It is time for total colonization..
You guys will beg to be free from Pep's total captivity... 😄😄😊 Calm down. Wait till City are found not guilty of their 115 charges before jumping up and down. If found guilty most of those titles might be stripped from them and City relegated. |

iamoyindamola: Last season Chelsea conceded almost the same number of goals as arsenal One finished second the other finished at the bottom 10 Was it not obvious that your defensive fragility in the 2nd half of the season was one of the reason you bottled the league. You went from having the second best defense in the first half of the season to conceding goals cheaply in the 2nd. Am sure if we check your post history and those of your Fellow arsenal fans we will see you guys complaining how losing Saliba made you lose the league. You that have experienced mustafi, Luiz, holding and those other bend down select defenders Arsenal has been parading for years should know what comes with having clowns in defense that folds under pressure.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Kimbeast: 5:54pm On Feb 02, 2024 |
Jodera: Arsenal is a big team and any mistake that leads to goal at 2-0 down will actually embolden the opposition top team esp if it's a mistake. If you get a chance to demoralise a big team, at least do it with no margin of error being capitalized. Failure to do so the momentum will most times swing. It's mostly mostly happening
Actually, I mistook Everton for wolves (the match Sterling dispossessed a defender then fluffed his lines with selfishness)
The Chelsea this season hardly concedes big chances when on the ascendancy. It's always whenever they're looking for goals.
But most of the big chances missed by Chelsea is mostly at 0-0. Here on Matchdays will prove such points. Like I said, the pressure to win is not always on the small team but on a big team This is just an excuse. The attack put Chelsea two nil up. Any blame for that Arsenal game rests solely on the defense and their brain fart. * Even against wolves they still created 3 big chances to our two. You can check sofascore. Sterling miss was in the first half and we both each missed a big chance in that half. *The battering we took against Liverpool and United happened in the first half at 0:0, Manchester City had 4 big chances against us in the first half as well missing 2 while we had 1. The battering at Luton happened at 3:0 up where Luton had 4 big chances in the 2nd half. Any team this season that has set up to attack has destroyed us completely creating chances upon chances with ease. Smaller teams paying us too much respect and setting up not to attack is even why our goal conceded is still at 36. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Kimbeast: 5:22pm On Feb 02, 2024 |
Jodera: Cont....
I'll give numerous examples starting with Arsenal (my club).
Arsenal: At 2-0 up, Palmer had the chance to make it 3-0 with a one on one after dispossessing was it Gabriel. He squandered such a big chance. Jackson had a pure one on one with keeper and he decided to dribble him. He fluffed it. Another big chance missed. The first goal we scored by GK mistake actually emboldened us and we would have almost won it since 2-0 is always a dangerous scoreline(against a big team)
Aston Villa: Sterling had one on one with two options to pass to but he acted both selfishly and he couldn't even convert it. A big chance missed. Jackson also had another big chance to put the game ahead, yet he fluffed his line too. This actually emboldened Villa coupled with the red card to Gusto (I think), there's always one winner. You can use same exact scenario against Everton but In this case it ended 2-0 (loss obviously)
Brentford: Missed chance upon missed chances until Brentford scored their first goal. So many culprits. The second goal happened be upcause of Chelsea was trailing and they needed to get something — anything out of the game.
I can go on and on on how Chelsea attackers missed chances actually put pressure on the defence and consequently on the team losing.
Lastly, to further prove the point. How many times have Chelsea scored first against a small/midtable team and actually lost or drew the game?. I doubt it has happened this season and even if it has, I doubt it's more than twice.
We can blame defence for because goal conceded says so but those who watched Chelsea this season knows that lack of quality attack that's causing this losses.
It's like a car which has engine problem and refuse to start but we blame the steering for not directing the car to move the way we want then claim the steering isn't working.
Fix the attack and the defence will sort itself. Not necessarily title contenders yet but at least top 4 contenders !! This post is so comical. Arsenal: * Imagine blaming the attack for a game we were leading 2:0. Do you know how funny that is. Everton: According to you we were missing so many chances yet we had zero big chances in that game yet Everton had 2 and more combined Xg than us. Brentford: Same thing as against Everton. Brentford had 5 big chances compared to our 2. Now let's assume both teams took all their chances what would have been the scoreline. You have given examples of Chelsea missing chances without telling us the ones our opponents had thanks to our poor defense and set up. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Kimbeast: 7:30pm On Feb 01, 2024 |
Same thing happened against United. We conceded 28 shots and 9 on target that day. Their xGA was over 4 goals but only scored two. This was why I was hammering on improving our defensive set up and this doesn't fall on only the back 4. Teams find it so easy to create chances against us because our set up makes it so simple. Too much gap in our midfield that makes it easy to bypass then we also have defenders that are error prone and collapse under pressure. Caicedo will drop deep to receive the ball yet Enzo and Gallagher will be as high as Palmer offering no passing lane while he was being pressed by numerous Liverpool players.
