yesterday's matches were not exciting at all

Stopped watching even. This is why i hate opening matches. hardly any fire.

The only 2gb nvidia gpu I've seen on the street that is "cheap" is zotac gt 620, if you stay in abj check Happiness computers zone 3 complex...
Im guessing you are contented with old games and not ready to play recent game titles yet though...

can someone help this gentle get atleast a gtx 460 or 7770 or 7790 1gb so he doesnt over pay for a weaker card jux cos he wants a 2gb card....

That's because they aren't the mobile version...it's the full chip ..it's badass.. they no longer carry the M suffix.

Can't give up my monitor for laptop sized monitor though...

Back to your question, will it play, YES. will you have to sacrifice image quality for playable framerates YES. Can you run games with medium to high settings NO. You only have 2GB dedicated. Don't get it mixed up with 6GB shared memory. Shared memory is much slower than dedicated.

you most certainly duped whomever you sold that card to. an Nvidia card with 1gb of VRAM can be bought in CV for as low as 6k.

As ryt as u r, the ram on the gpu is not the determinant of de price....its the whole other parts involved.....for eg a hd 7850 1gb gpu will still cost a lot more than a 7450 hd with 2gb....becos the former packs power....in fact, the 1gb will be bottlenecking it. On the other hand the 2gb (prolly ddr3 ) ram on de latter wud be useless cos its nt powerful enuff to actually mke use of it.

With the missus wanting to record her MKX gameplay at 1080p60 and share on Youtube, it's about time she got herself a new PC...previous one sold and due to constraints mine can't be used (who would, its my second lover)

Welcome to the real world, where people buy Ferrari and crash it the next day, where people buy bugatti for $3 mil, buy a fuvk!ng house for $40 mil

very unfortunate but true.... it is how the real world works.

hopefully we as pc gamers try to stray from that path as much as possible.

Some of the reasons why laptops are more expensive than a desktop of similar specs is because of mobility. 2 - 3 hours (battery life) may not seem much considering the level of anyone who would get that kind of laptop, love for gaming but, think about it.
You can take it to the office and play, camping, picnic, waiting at the airport, train station, some bus stations, prep, classes (in between lectures). 2-3 hours would go a long way in those situations. Some people carry extra batteries but, let's keep it on the average. So, I think that justifies the prize difference in every way. Desktops are mostly for people who don't work for long or don't work at all or entrepreneurs.



Anything that misplaces a priority becomes THE priority.
But I agree, generally that people spend money on gaming unnecessarily. Like upgrading just to move from 50-55fps to 60fps but, what I'm saying is IF one has too much money, as you put it, it would not necessarily mean the spending was unnecessary. It is only unnecessary when "you are spending what you don't have on what you don't need to impress people you don't like" (because if you like them you wouldn't wanna oppress them or feel thee need to catch up)

i understand the price diff...what i dnt understand is why anyone wud choose this weighty laptop or a lighter less expensive, albeit, less beefy laptop is beyond me.....besides that screen size is not worth 1080sli

also i dont think spending on things you dnt need jux to impress jux cos you have the money is justified....im not going into preaching mode and say there are starving marvins elsewhere but seriously it cud be put to better use i swear. buying things u dnt really need, yet want, for the sake of it is unecessary.....even if you really have the money in abundance.

okay the reason why i deem it unecessary is cos it's a lappy that weighs a ton.....basically a desktop with its price probably twice that of a desktop with similar specs. Why not spend money on the cheaper desktop alternative....and all for gaming too (thats the main reason for that lappy)....not worth it man....

you know when pc gamers accuse console gamers of wasting money on paying online and buying 60$ videos games dat play for 6 hrs.....well pc gamers also love to spend money unecessarily sometyms....priorities can be misplaced man. i have seen people buy more gpus to sli/xfire jux becos they run gta at 45-50 fps and the need the 60fps. similar to audiophiles who swear the can hear magical sounds never hrd before when they spen 1000s on audio systems

thats my opinion....i await ur argument as well....lets try to keep it clean if we can man.

On Intel HD 4000 iGPU, the HD 4400 will perform similarly. You are looking at 13-23FPS....not ideal framerates imo but it will play but you may not enjoy the experience.

Gosh! You are hard to please haha.....the Xbox Scorpio/PS4 Neo, will be more powerful. Issue however is devs priority may be to try and consistently hit 1080p at 60Hz so image quality will still suffer. We'll have to see.

it is the truth....since consoles take prioty in regards to dev time every game is tailored to their limitations...pc jux gets to have more pixels and textures. same gameplay mechs, same lightening and same philysics and ai...sometymscjux a little more npcs. neo and scorpio wontvchange things (cept vr but im nt interested) since they wont get exclusives. only prettier and faster games.

Console hardware is too weak!

the problem, however,is dat most games are console ports...the limitations of the consoles can be seen (low npcs on a map at once, poor physics, etc) if u want gaming to go ahead u better hope consoles are powerful enuff

Console hardware is weak compared to a gaming PC, so there's only so much you can exploit from it . What happens is that developers find new techniques to improve shadow, ambient occlusion, draw distance, texture details e.t.c. Sometimes the difference are very subtle that one doesn't notice it but there will always be a different between each console generation.
1. Uncharted - PS4 has more facial hair, better hair texture, better lighting effects
2. Destiny - PS4 has better texture detail overall
3 GTA 5 - Look in the distance, and you'll find more detail on the PC > PS4 >PS3
4 Watchdogs - PS4 better resolution looking at the hat, more detail in his jumper (around the neck); a subtle difference.

subtle improvements is not wat people were looking forward to when they bought the new consoles.

when the graphics for the division was released at e3 some tym back i beliieved dat was what we were to see.sadly all we see are slightly better textures a nd more foliage.you cant compare ps2 graphics with ps3/xbox to xbox 360. you can compare ps3 to 4/xbox 360 to xbone. the "improvements are not good enough.

It will favour PC gamers too. With the new API's(DX12 & Vulkan), game developers can improve performance. I've seen cases where AMD GPU's are seeing >30% performance boost.
What are you comparing this gen's graphics/physics and ai to that makes it unimpressive?

there is no conparison ..but. an expectation of revelution....halflife physics are still great to see and feel. that speaks volumes of our "progress". still playing last gen games and impressed with graphics...when i played gen 6 games during gen 7 graphics were nt even comparable in the same galaxy.
