Buy a ps4..its about 65k..nd its built fr gaming...You dont have to worry about resolution, quality, framerates etc...a laptop with its gpu (8GB shared memory) would set you back about 200k or even more....i like pc gaming..well i used to...pirated pc games usually dont work online...fifa15, Cod ghosts...etc...And i found it quite hard getting the original discs fr pc gaming...Had to just manage the ones that let you play thru a local network..in a ps4 you hav a rig that'll last you for the next 4yrs minimum. Atleast till the 5th gen PlayStation comes out

Nice of u to come into a pc thread and suggest we get a ps4. By the way u spoke, it's obvious u don't have a clue wat u're saying.

1. I don't use my pc for jux gaming. that's the beauty of pc gaming. U can do other things as well.

2. If u think u don't have to worry about resolution den u're wrong. Sony promised 1080p resolutions for ps4. Most demanding games can't render that. And if they do, the world mostly becomes barren or the level are extremely linear...like God of war games (I love them tho) and the upcoming "the order" game. Also features like shadows, global illumination etc get toned down in the ps4 cos it can't handle it.

3. Framerates is all over the place. Assasin's creed unity is testament to this. There are more.

4. If u decide to laptop game then u'll have more expenses etc. A quadcore cpu which is over 9 yrs old with a decent mobo and a 570gtx is still a match for the ps4. Let alone an i3 upwards cpu. Infact if u can go up a notch and make it 660 oc or even 660ti then u'd be destroying the ps4.

5. the biggest advantage of pc gaming is that it's scalable and customisable. Unless ur pc is not meant for gaming u can reduce features and resolution to maintain a steady framerate and still have a beautiful looking game. Besides most gamers in africa hardly use a 1080p monitor to game let alone 1440p.

6. To play online on a ps4 is to purchace the original like u rightfully said. However one game cos around 20k, the least is probably 10k. that's grt if u can but it's insane to actually spen 15k on a video game disk. If u want to purchase a game on pc, jux use digital downloads, purchase and download. That's the only way here in africa. Also u will always find a private server to play online with pirated versions. Is piracy good? No! can it be stopped. I don't think so. Can the situation be helped? Yes, simply stop selling the game at the same price as in the developed countries ( dollar exchange rate) it's insanely expensive.
So I'd advice u to find a a used mobo dat support core to quad or phenom ii x4 and slot in a capable gpu and u're ready to game...

ps: ps4 cost 150k in my country. I can build a pc dat runs circles around the ps4 for less.

Even avatar Aang before final battle remembered his friends when he wasn't thinking straight.....the same can be said of the current avatar. Also have at the back of your mind that the Avatar series is a short one unlike the Japanese counterparts.

n.b The Japanese culture (although they have imbibed the American way of life) emphasizes more on friendship unlike the powerhouse America that only like to showcase "Superman" in all their spheres of life e.g. 24, Nikita, Homeland, Superman, Batman, Rambo, Commando, Steven seiger, Duff lundren, Norris, etc

wat dude like I said.....it's mostly implied not stated all the tym. not all Japanese anime have the over bearing friendship theme. it's cheezy. also most anime have the same length as the last air bender. btw I don't watch the new one so I can't comment on it. the bond is great when it's not mentioned everytym. don't defend this. it can be toned down abit.

Actually try to go pass the first episodes and make sure to end after the arrancar arc. That's when bleach was great. Hunter x hunter is good too. Full metal alchemist is great as well. Code geas. Samurai shamploo.

N.b. whether a protagonist's friends help him in battle or not, whether he remembers them during battle or not, etc I don't' see reason why that should stop such protagonist from going through one form of training or the other....that point no get head to me sha

You're actually assuming I like that about naruto, I don't. Ask around. I don't mind the bond between characters...samurai shamploo had it. But that did not rule the whole manga like naruto, bleach, one piece and fairy tail. When the bond is verbally stated all the tym and used to gain power from God knows where, then it's a problem. Even hunter x hunter does it well. No overstatement of friendship and love and bla bla bla. Jux cos it's generally used doesn't make it right.

Last airbender is a clear eg of a very fun, non cheezy anime. The bond is assumed, not stated every 5mins

Grimmjow's defeat was horrible. He basically stood dere listening to ichigo's talkkai (talk no justu) and got stabbed in the process....from the front....at a snail's pace. Simply amazing. Ulquiorra's was also trash.

Exactly nani....that's what I got from the moaning from this thread. Personally I hate the show cos it's simply stupid to sit down and watch people do absolutely nothing for over 6months or so with the occasional drama. It adds nothing to gud tv and for me is one of the bane of africa ( hyperbole sure but that's how much I rly hate the show). If u guys wanna boycot it, sure....u have my support but not for the reason that a nigerian didn't win. Those are the cries of sore losers....no offence.

Well I believe they were. Hanabi saw her sister's inability to master her art as an opportunity to take her inheritance from her...even if only to please her father as well. Hinata had given up cos she was no gud until she met naruto and she picked herself up to gain the upper hand. So intially hinata cudn't compete cos tried as she did, she was jux not that gud. Buh she picked herself up with a lil motivation and boom she was back to competing (yes the inheritance may have not been the main reason for her picking up, nevertheless she inevitably found herself back in the competition. So in a way u're not wrong....but hinata did compete as well cos she kept comparing herself to neji nd hanabi.

Naruto fans of this wonderful thread....who are your best and worst kind of anime characters.

Best character(s):

1. Calm and collected but without a too much serious face (nabunaga and killua of hunter x hunter, kisame and orochimaru come to mind)

2. Father figures that help the main character grow (jiraiya, albeit I wasn't impressed with how much he tot naruto for three years and the lady sensei of the elric brothers in fma: brotherhood comes to mind)

3. Characters who know their weakness and strengths and don't rush straight into battle...they are often called cowards cos they flee at the sight of overwhelming but I call them smart. But when in command the can organise even the weakess soldiers or fighters to beat a very strong bad guy who otherwise wud've had no problem killing them individually. ( No brainer...shikamaru, killua and hoeheim *fma: brotherhood* come to mind)

Main characters that are very jolly, funny, silly yet can take on bad guys. However these bad guys also show a side of weakness, be it psychological or physical, showcasing their human nature (aang of avatar: the last airbender, spike spiegel of cowboy beopop, maybe L of deathnote come to mind)

Worst character(s)

Feeble and weak supporting female characters who continually cling on to the main character for saving when she herself has the ability to improve and stand on her own. ( Almost all the women in narutoverse except konan and sasori's grandma)

Main characters who always scream friendship friendship and family loved ones, all that bull. Also that they never learn from battle experience and keep getting beaten by weaker opponents even after winning against stronger ones. (Naruto, luppi, ichigo, the fairy tail guy forgotten his name all those guys come to mind)

Too cool character that are waaay too smug and seem to win fights even if they do so convincingly most of the tyms. It's the way they do it that makes it very annoying...even against very strong opponents they never seem to break a sweat ( itachi to a small extent, hisoka sasuke byakuya, roroanoa zorro to a small extent come to mind)

Seemly smart characters with glasses on the always shift them back..ffs get contact lenses if u can't keep those glass on ur face. (Uryuu of bleach and kabuto come to mind)

Lastly I hate characters with major character obsession. Most of the tym these characters are interesting cos they are mischievious and also their fighting styles are great. But always with the major character obsession which make them come across as perverts. ( Hisoka and orchimaru come to mind)

Infact anyone who can watch one piece, bleach and fairytail has an insane amount of endurance or simply likes stories where the good guys win because of their nakama. Not that their friends actually help in team raping the bad guy. No! Jux stating that they have friends they care about and telling the bad guy he's full of crap because he has no friends is enough to gain powers straight from the mangaka's arze and win the day. Lesson of the day....why train when proclaiming the undying bond of friendship is enuff to win almost every battle u're faced with. Jux go about and make friends...create that bond and always remember them in ur fights. Trust me, u'll always win.

Reminds me of the movie "you got served" where they won cos they were dedicating their dance to lil saint. So magically the bad guys weren't as gud as they used to be. Power of friendship y'all.

Really! Cos I tried catching up recently and I jux gave up. Te smurk talks, hardly any swordmanship (killer bee's and sasuke's swordplay far exceeds that of bleach..., even kisame's. extremely ironic) and heavy plotkai (azzpull no jutsu) jux made me stop right there.

Bad guy: oh so u're a captain.....let's see what u got

Good guy: bring it ooooooooon.

*fight ensues, good guy is beaten totally*

Bad guy: lol, na wa ooo, so this is the strength of seretei's captains, the boss was right, u guys are no match.

Good guy: wait ooo, u tot that was my full power, hahahah. I was jux holding back to see how strong u guys were. Looks like u're nothing special at all. Now watch as I flex my muscles.

*good guy charges up and catches bad guy in a state of shock and beats him hands down*

Bad guy: oh so that was ur full strength abi? Now that I know ur peak...me sef I won't hold back any longer.

*bad guy charges up and beats the good guy mercilessly. Good guy begins to have a flashback cos he might jux die. Then his sword within his consciousness tells him not to give up. Good guy den begs his sword for more power....which is given in abundance (mind u, u'll never see this upgrade used anywhere else...it's a one tym offer only and the good guy never learns from this experience). Good guy proceeds to almost destroy the bad guy ( I say almost cos the bad guy before he dies must also have his or her own flashback)*

Bad guy: it feels gud to die by ur hand

Good guy: u were a worthy opponent

* bad guy dies, good guy heavily bleeding still standing looking sad for the bad guy.

THE END.

That's how all of the fights pan out. Sometyms it's the other way round only this tym, the good guy never dies and is healed....even if they are cut into two (hinamori anyone)

Those guys selling GPUs do not even understand what they're selling; they just look at the RAM on the card and start calling unreasonable prices. I guess the way out is to import the GPU through a proxy, OR get a laptop and be forever faithful to the GPU within.
With the recent slump in the Nigerian naira, it'll be even more difficult to import some of these cool components.

Hmmmm, dude jux pray for the influx of used gpus in an used online market. Cos ryt now...that's all that can save us the enthusiasts. Cos like u said, even the sellers are ignorant and cheats.

We don't really have online stores that sell useful used stuff. Even the few online stores we have are not really interested in desktop computer components. As you said we are far behind technologically. Imagine someone making noise about a dedicated graphics card only for you to discover it's one of those useless GPUs that have 2GB of RAM, but are basically powerless (eg GT710x, AMD HD8610) - talk about good for nothing RAM.
The major cause of parts unavailability in Nigeria is the unwillingness of computer shop owners to educate themselves in the matter of computer components. These sellers think all CPUs, GPUs, RAM, motherboards, and PSUs are made equal. The few who are knowledgeable about these components, and even have modern versions in their shops will want you to sell your soul to acquire these components.

Pronto. Even very old stuff are sold for so much. Now in my online used store middle level gpus are scarce and are being sold for as much as the price of high end gpus. This automatically makes the prices of high end gpus shoot up because.... competitive prices. Those low level gpus annoy me to no end I swear. Seriously the nerve of some people to overhype mediocre.
