I don't even have to think about it, I'll go for the 2 million. What's Dangote going to tell me that I can read in books, just because he's wealthy doesn't mean we both share same interests. |

Family › Re: What Is The Most Silly Seemingly Impossible Thing You've Ever Asked God For? by kimlee3(m): 8:05am On Jan 22, 2020 |
PrimadonnaO: I've prayed about that genotype thing, too... my faith was at an all-time high...did a test and it was showing AA. Must have been a fake result because my most recent verified result says otherwise.
My very special miracle till date was when I was in JS1. My school offered accelerated promotion to exceptional students JS1 to JS3. As far as everyone was concerned, I was a bright student... but I knew better. I was very horrible at Math. To qualify for the accelerated promotion, I needed an average of 85% in 5 key subjects, including English and Mathematics. My overall average was supposed to be 90 thereabouts.
First term passed, 2nd term passed... And my Mathematics was still not there. I had put in my very best effort, but it still wasn't getting me that 85% average.
See, so much was at stake. You see, I was a tall/big kid and it made me feel like I was too old for my class, even though I was just 12 going on 13. I had two besties who were certainly going to get that accelerated promotion, so I didn't want to be left out.
Third term came... it was going to be my last shot. First test came, for some very ungodly reason, I scored 3/15. I cried for a week. That was when I went to God in prayers...a child in need of a miracle. I made a vow, too... and then I got back to studying everyday. Second test 15/15... Exam 69/70. I still didn't know if that was enough. Couldn't count my chickens before they were hatched.
Result collection day... the most anticipated day of my entire secondary school life. I simply went straight to the end comment... I made it! I came second in class, too. My Mathematics average wasn't 85... it was 77... but my other subjects were way above 85.
God must have shown them that I really wanted that accelerated promotion. I may have been in the war room while the exam committee had been deliberating.
My life is filled with stories of God showing up like that...
***Modified*** That event is particularly significant in my life because it marked the point where I really believed that God answers prayers... It strengthened my faith in Him. God's done much more for me since then... I simply just can't forget the beginning of my audacious faith. It's so sad that you didn't acknowledge the fact that you put in more effort, read harder and went all in I think as human we should not always undermine our ability to achieve whatever we sets our mind to. We can achieve anything it's just depends on how badly we want them |

kevoh: From comments on this thread, it's quite obvious many religious Nigerians think science is the enemy, to the extent of rubbishing scientific breakthroughs that have helped humanity. I wish these fellas can be teleported to the stone age era to better appreciate life without the fruits of modern day science. They keep trashing science, but can't even leave a day without it. Science will continue to have breakthroughs and improve human life. The word "IMPOSSIBLE" is just a mind state |

Music/Radio › Re: What Do You Usually Write About As An Artist? by kimlee3(m): 7:51pm On Jan 15, 2020 |
I've always said this, everything we do has a pinch of our personality in it. As an artist if all you can possibly rap or sing about are songs promoting the use of hard drugs and alcohol, sex, crimes, gangster stuffs, fast cars, designers, flexing and what have you, then, it says a lot about who you are and your thoughts pattern. You cannot give what you don't have, that's why some artist operate on another level, because they are just simply who they are
The likes of dope lyricist can never go down that road, it is almost impossible for them to think that way. Special thanks to all the great artists that has graced the music scene, there's still great sounds out there, you just got to dig deep |

We Nigerians sef and our negative vibes, even within the country if person fine dem go talk say na because he or she is yellow, tall and what have you. If its an endowed white gal, they'll complain its all surgery, if its a slim pretty white gal they will still say its because she's white
Must y'all always be bitter, nobody gives a crap about your opinion, always trying to get people down. if you wan do surgery find your way there, and stop ranting like an insecure puppy
#Quick Fact Most Nigerians ladies don't like each other, everything is always competition, down to which person shit smell pass. They will go on to hate the pretty ones just because they are simply pretty and they not, criticizing on one thing or the other, una study Anatomy or wetin |

DandeNumeruno: what are you even trying to prove
money heist has 100% rt rating based on 13 reviews. only 13.
meanwhile the night of has 95% rt rating based on 62 reviews! 62!
between both, which tv show do you think has the better batting average?
the answer is obvious....the night of.
62 >>>>>>> 13
average ratings are 8.6/10 (the night of) vs 7/10 (money heist)
it's a simple maths.
quote me when money heist has passed the same level of scrutiny that the night of has passed. if it still retains 100% rating after 62 reviews then I will shut up.
in the meantime, go and sleep. Thank you bro, he's been ranting about this Money Heist thing like forever, condemning other good series. No doubt the series is nice, but there are other great series out there too. Peace |

I still remember that night vividly, that's 2012 Champions league final. Bayern Munich Vs Chelsea fc, before then I never really took football seriously, I always wondered what joy people derived from watching football even though my friends spoke about it for years and my dad too, a die hard Chelsea fan who disown arsenal for the early Mourinho days. On that faithful night my dad went out to watch the game, (He loves watching games outside, he says its more fun) I was bored scrolling through channels and I just thought that I should give it a try. As I watched I began to loose interest cuz Chelsea was so dominated and outplayed but I tried to watch to the end, to my very own eyes Chelsea drew the game and went to penalties and I'm like okay, this is it. To my surprise Chelsea won the cup, immediately Drogba netted the ball I jumped and celebrated, after some moments I felt like what just happened. Ever since then its all blue |

It really baffles me how people tend to celebrate mediocrity and neglect the real talents out there. An average Nigerian always claim to know music when most time we only listen just to feel updated or to go tell a friend about a trend. When a wack artist trends it only means that there are about a thousand to million people who are as dumb as the artist, nothing special. For me, I don't joke with music, so I'm very cautious of what I listen to. My playlist is mine alone. Ciao! |
