This may help, First know your cycle. if its 28 days, invariably your ovulation day is on the 14th day from the first day of your period flow. its best you have sex with your husband on the 14th day. This is because the female has XX chromosomes while the male has XY chromosomes. The Y chromosome is kind of fragile but faster than the X chromosome but it tends to die easily than X chromosome, hence if you have sex 2-3 days before ovulation, the X chromosome can survive unlike the Y chromosome before the main ovulation day as sperm last upto 48 hours. Therefore the X chromosome fertilizes the egg and forming XX (female )chromosomes.
