Edo, Igbo, Igala, Akokoid,Yoruba belong to Kwa language group called YEAI. Ijaw is not part of it.

Actually, there is no language called Ijaw as Ijaw is not a REAL ethnic group but a franchise. The REAL ethnic group is Izon.

Engenni, Epie/Atissa , Udekeme( Degema) are actually edoid people, and they have a history of migration from Bini as proven by their Edoid language.
Ogbia and Abua, are proto Cross Riverians whose language is related to Efik and Ibibio, just like Andoni.

All these people are members of Ijaw Franchise but are not ethnically Izon, as their language obviously prove they are not related to Izons but only share same habitat (mangrove swamp) with them.

Ijaw as an ethnic group is fraud.

The Engenni man stands better chance of communicating with an Isoko man than he can with an Izon man, because truthfully speaking, he is ancestrally Edoid just like the Isoko and their languages are related.
