seguntijan:true but we talking about wizkid and davido.... olamide own was grace plus feature he did with wizkid omotoshan. If he didn't feature wizkid I doubt if he would have been noticed at all |
Massive shout out to king125007 Wizkid fc and Davido fc. We need not fight today, let's appreciate this two living legends. Remember I'm no blogger, but a music lover #Analyzt Edited seguntijan:true but we talking about wizkid and davido.... olamide own was grace plus feature he did with wizkid omotoshan. If he didn't feature wizkid I doubt if he would have been noticed at all That's the reason I left olamide out And we still can't dispute The influence those two have till today olamide can't be compared to it Let's leave that argument for another day nighter:Eniduro was a hit on the street of lagos, it didn't put baddo on the spotlight.. talking about the thick corners of the east or The ghettos in the south. Let's talk true for once I'm a southerner and till today not everyone heard about eniduro during when it was realeasd. But same can't be said for omotoshan ft wizkid. You can't compare the airplay they got.. That song made olamide blow home and away... parties and all... The Four corners of nigeria. I can lecture you more But it will be on my next post. |
When I see people talking about how tiktok, instagram, social media influence the whole nigeria music and made it more opened to the masses (upcoming artist) to thrive on. I quite agreed with them but one thing they always forget is to give accolades to the two men who made it possible before those app came noticed. We all knew how the nigeria music industry operated in the early 2000s, ( 2 decades ago) it was controlled by different cabals who called themselves record labels, from kennis music, square records, storm records, mo hit and some other few. if you don't belong to any of the aforementioned you can't get a collaboration not to talk of making it big in nigeria. they were many upcoming artist then who were so good but was never heard of because soundcity refuses to play their songs. Them never play kennis stars music finish, na you when dey ojulegba...na them want play? Radio stations were delibartely turning down upcoming musicians record tapes except you got connection to pull some strings. Then came wizkid and Davido, they changed the entire music scene from the hands of this cabals and the monopoly they practiced. like so many wizkid was signed to eme record when he was still a teenager. he spent few years and left, during that time alot of upcoming artist saw that they could actually thrived, since wizkid did it, davido did it within a short period of time they could also. That was the end of the Godfatherism in the nigeria music entertainment. so many of them old school musicisns with likes of dbanj, 2face were forced to retirement home! thumbs up to wizkid and davido they made the industry opened to everyone because they practically decentralized it and they forever have my respect for that.

I'm not friendly People who don't even Know me just the sight of me they always conclude I have 2much pride and ego. The way I walk and the way I seclude myself from people sometimes adds to it, I don't really blame them. If you don't talk to me, I won't talk to you I have stayed in my street for 7years now, they are about 3 neighbors I see everyday but not for once have we Said hello to each other. They stare I stare They walk pass, I walked pass My spirit select's people too much, making me come of to them as been prideful. Don't get me wrong I'm an extrovert, nice, bold And welcoming to strangers but hardly will you see me bring myself to you first. I won't want my children to inherit this from me. So what's yours? |

The goal of every celebrity is to be at the top and remain there for as long as they could, some did, some tried but couldn't... while some just let go of the fame and move to other meaningful businesses of their choice here are my top 5 countdown celebrity that couldn't handle fame kOREDE BELLO it's one thing to be talented and another to be prince charming.. kOREDE is an artist I won't say is that talented, he started young, signed to mavin with one of the most hotest hit single in nigeria of all time GOD WIN,. to the point his name was even changed to it. like they say one hit can keep you in the music business.. he had the fame all through that years just because of that song but too bad he couldn't capitalize on it, an opportunity alot of musicians are looking for till today. even though is name will always ring a bell on our ears but his recent songs may not. Mr, Eazi when Eazi came out 2014, 2015 the whole industry shooked, wondering who is this wonder kid almost an extent he was dragged by two african countries, nigeria and ghana. the nigeria born singer who spent quite some time of his life living in ghana was so talented with his thick voice and when he goes "high pitch" on a song they is way he does it till today I still haven't seen any artist that sound so "emotional" like the early mr Eazi sorta like post malone.. Dude was so different, came with a unique style and won next rated the following year unopposed, he even helped revived terry G career through a feature skin tight. it's so painful we don't know why he couldn't keep up, the only thing we knew is that he was dating a billionaire daughter. listening to his latest song this year Legalise, I shaked my head, this man still has it but lost the one thing that matters alot the "fame" lil kesh kesh is the reason why I don't blame mayorkun for sticking with davido all through this year's. maybe if he didn't leave olamide so soon he won't have turned to an upcoming artist. his genre of music has been filled by his kind with like of zlanta, naira marley, poco lee and the recent wave on the street portable. kesh had the fame but he couldn't handle it due to the path he chosed. BLACK FACE This man doesn't need an intro, he's been sympathised with all through the years by fans, friends and families (fff) for been a victim of a song robbery, african queen stolen by 2face.. he had the fame to renovate himself all through the years and make a comeback but unfortunately he couldn't, been the pillar of the defunct group plantation boys in the early 2000s, he had it all but a mismanagement of fame didn't really help. All he does to cry for a lost treasure and funny enough nigeria's don't take him serious no more. he caused it with his own hands. ICE PRINCE ZAmani, the man who made alot of nigerias love rap music. the oleku singer who was signed to choc city label became among the top artist making wave at that time within a short period of time. he was so loved as he brought series of rap hit singles, from been feature in samklef noni, superstar, to juju badman!....but all that begin to changed when he dived into doing what other artists were doing (party jam) just to please nigerias. to me that was the begining of his downfall. he was known to be a rapper, why sing? if nigerias wants to listen to party jams they have wizkid for that, they have davido and alot of other musicians for that, he should have held his own which was hip-hop and by now he would have been a legend like his mentors before him, mi, ruggedman, eedris, naeto c. though the last time we heard from him was a feature he got on "I like your waist in particular" which was a mega hit but ever since then nothing. ice Prince just couldn't handle fame, sometimes I wondered what really happened to him. Note: King0G is no blogger but a music lover! thank you

Have been clubbing since I was 16 and now that am an adult it's getting worst.. Wednesday I club, Saturday you find me there... Sunday it's confirmed. This has really eaten my finances deeply being a night walker I can't just help myself. I tried several times buying same drinks I buy in the club outside at a cheaper rate, vsop and the rest and keep them in my fridge just to keep me indoor during weekends like this.. No way! As soon as it gets dark the urge to go mingle around with different new faces, pick new figure 8 and probably get to meet new ballers in town always wins. This is an habit I really want to let go, please clubbers how can I go about it? |
Anny505:yes brymo was underated, but reason I left him out was he really didn't pushed hard enough. I mean what stopped him from giving the people another ara be? since he realised that's what they want..so I think he wasn't really that consistent to be on my list. As for vector he shared same spotlight with mi for years, no body came close between them. he just didn't utilised it.. vector isn't underated to me, it's just his vibes people just doesn't feel it.. including me. unlike naeto c, ice prince.. those are vibes that were felt |

ADEKUNLE GOLD when he first came out I was among the people who were trying to grasp his musical style, lyrics and voiced. As a matter of fact he had this normal yoruba thick intonation. as time went on i realise this dude was actualy a top class of his own..he sounded so different that I was always waiting for his latest. yeah he changed from that good boy vibe to a bad boi style which still didn't help to boost his career that much. yes Gold is so much underated in the nigeria music industry, he should be getting much more accolades for standing out this few years. kizz DANIEL the feud he had with his label did affect his career, but like a bouncing ball he fell and bounced BACK better. who would have thought kizz daniel would have been compared with the likes of wizkid, davido? and the comparison is actually right. kizz daniel is a top class of his own, his works , soundtracks and voice is top notch. when I listen to his songs sometimes I wonder why he is not getting Accolades like the rest of the A list artist out there. every song he drops is a hit, just this year alone how many hit tracks? but still watch and see who headies will pack awards to. ERIGGA They say nigerias are mostly not fan of hip-hop songs but still til todayThe late dagrins name is remembered? paperboy as he is fondly called has been in the game before majority of most popular artist making reigns in nigeria. sometimes I wonder is it because he is a southerner? before phyno came to limelight, they was ERIGGA..infact dude is a legend to most of us who are fan of his works all this year's. the way he drops his Pidgin rap is so unique, his world plays.. metaphors.. punchlines are so hardcore that radio stations sometimes refuses to play some tracks of his....YET HENNESSY hosted cypher guess who they called some upcoming events artist. Yet Rick ross came to Nigeria, they presented a fuji artist to him as the top rapper in nigeria..smile WANDE COAL WANDE was a mega Superstar during the mohits and kennis music era. Sometimes I tell people, Wizkid is a derived product from WANDE coal some argue and some agree and I have proof.. till today I still haven't seen any artist in nigeria who has the coolest, sweetest and sexiest voice compared to the early prime of wandes... only few came close but how he is still UNDERRATED despite what he gave in the game is what surprises me. After breaking from mohits, it affected his career buh still wande coal is a living legend. PRAIZ Same thing that's happening to johny drill and Chike.how long has PRAIZ been in the game yet no accolades, some of us will prefer going to a portable show in ojota than a johny drill concert in Abuja. I listened to some PRAIZ previous album, I wept and ask God why didn't he give us the chance to choose our countries according to our music taste. Because I know were I would have fall on. Thank you
