That is only when you are applying for tafe or colleges. Your uncle or anty can sponsor you if you are applying for a degree program as long as you are able to back up your claim.

Sorry am quoting @kingbukaz
when did you use this? And was the grant issued? Cuz I strongl doubt if they still honour such. From the thread, your uncle without the same surname has to be an Aussie PR holder or citizen. Oga WestAfrica over to you
okay oga Boss!

Yes you can use your uncle even if you don't bear same name. I used my uncertain and we don't bear same name....you just need to collect letter of sponsor from him and then from his bank stating that he can sponsor you during your time of study in Australia

If his course is on SOL or CSOL lists i see no reason to go through the study route to migrate because halve of the fees for study is sufficient to process PR
if your course is on CSOL, do you still need state sponsorship?

Hi, I got an offer to study Msc. Petroleum Engineering at UNSW for Semester 2. I intend to pay the $6000 tuition and $1338.4 OSHC ($600/year for 2 yrs plus 2 months after studies) before month end.

I would be sponsored by my family. Although I'm also on the lookout for scholarships. Please feel free to help a brother if you have info on any available one.

Secondly, I need any info I can get on visa application ( though I intend to use PFL), fees and settling in Aussie. What is the school like,I hope Aussies are not racists.

Finally what do you think about my course of study.

I will really appreciate your feedback. Thanks.
Please it 6K aud The required fees for a semester.
